I speak from first hand it’s nor always great to move. We moved to Australia for my parents to get new jobs only for them to end in the same jobs they did in England. Luckily we are back

There would be no need to fake, they were just filming at night and they would just need to convey the idea of them walking off at a closer angle if it wasn't bright enough

Sadly he said it's only 1 season show so I don't think it'll be Green Wing anyway. It should defo be on their list as one to watch together though, would be awesome.

Goofy humo(u)r - Check Actors QB knows from IT Crowd - Check 1 season, short and snappy - Check Intentional editing continuity errors, bad overdubs, cheesy effects and prop gaffes (which I know KB has said he finds hilarious in the past) - Check It's a relatively cult favo(u)rite hidden gem I've been looking forward to appearing on here for a while! :)

I remember suggesting 'You, me and the apocalypse' aaaages ago which has Stylax from Plebs and Alan Johnson from Peep show, but that seems unlikely... All the others that I could think of are 2 seasons, such as Green wing, White Gold, KP Moaning of life or PK Car share...

They are still friends now and have given interviews about the original events that many of the episodes are based on. Things like one of the characters shitting himself in school and the pussy patrol shirts and the real life Jay falling asleep on an ants nest in Ibiza really happened.

But you have to stay in education till 18 now, so schools have 2 extra years called "6th form" in which you pick more specialist subjects that you'll want to persue in university, and drop less relevant classes. We also have "college" not to be confused with "university" "college" is 16-18 year old education similar to 6th form, since not all schools have 6th form years. But similarly, its just specialized education for what you want to persure further. Then you can either get a job after those 2 years when your 18, or continue on to university. But yeah the college thing is confusing, its basically just school from 16-18 and can get confused with university by americans, since yall call university college. So currently in the show they're in the second year of 6th form, otherwise called six-two. so they'd be either 18 or about to turn 18 at this point. Also most places with 6th form, let students drop the uniform and wear their own clothes as an independence this of being older. But they don't in this show, so it confuses it even more making it look like they're maybe in the lower year groups

2025-01-06 18:04:38 +0000 UTCRightly or wrongly I think I would have reacted quite a lot like Simon if my parents had told me when I was eighteen that I had to move to Swansea. The thing is when you're that age, you basically think you're an adult (which you are) and old enough to be autonomous, and being dragged makes you feel like a child. My mum used to say things like "Maybe we should sell up and move to (insert god-forsaken rural shithole)" and I would always get quite annoyed and very quickly correct her that it was not "we" because I would not be going. Also, I don't think the character was written this way necessarily, but I think Simon (I'm talking about him like he's real here) is high functioning neurodivergent and probably has ADHD or something, he's incredibly neurotic, and his emotional regulation is nonexistent and his reactions are quite dramatic. For someone like that, being told you're moving to Wales against your will just before your A-levels is the sort of thing that can push you over the edge. I worry sometimes how much of myself I see in his character.
