Why do you watch Americans Reacting to British stuff?

Hey King Boomer - new to Patreon and love the reactions; Seeing someone laugh for the first time brings it all back on for you, i love it - i was impressed you did The Day Today and you loved it, that was the seal of approval, 👍🏻...

2025-01-20 14:30:01 +0000 UTCYou never watched Brian's live streams before? Kinda surprising. You know, the one where he joked about the wording + how he'd added the letter U to favourite, etc

2025-01-05 17:10:25 +0000 UTCI get to re watch all the shows of my youth with someone who enjoys them! So many more you haven't even touched the surface yet.. 70-2005 was the height of UK/Irish TV writing and production. Then we had the GOT mega series for 10-15yrs and now its just woke brainwashing.

2025-01-05 16:58:26 +0000 UTCI voted for the 'vicarious' answer, but I wouldn't be watching if I didn't also like King and Queen Boomer! I like the format, I like the personal flair, so forth.

2025-01-04 23:20:12 +0000 UTCI like to see the cultural differences and similarities between the UK and US. It's like when you go to another country and see they sell Cadburys chocolate and you feel 2 worlds are colliding together! Also love the king and queen they are both interesting

2025-01-03 17:21:38 +0000 UTCYou've never heard the word vicariously before? If so that's kinda surprising. I mean it's not a common word by any stretch, but it's by no means obscure either.

2025-01-03 01:27:15 +0000 UTCThere is no history I assure you. It was intended to be a joke and I feel pretty awful that a misunderstanding could cause so much upset. I'm hoping my last reply explained it well enough and he realises it was a joke that just didn't land as I intended. It's one of those situations where one forgets that tone of voice matters and an online comment doesn't have that. Entirely my fault.
Michael K
2025-01-02 17:39:59 +0000 UTCMost of this content I've seen plenty, and a lot of my peers have seen it, so it's just nice to watch it with someone who is new to it. So much of our comedy doesn't leave our shores, as it's seen as too British centric, unlike American shows which are typically much broader and therefore great for world wide syndication. So it's just joyous to have people exposed to it who likely never would have been otherwise, and in a way get affirmation that this stuff isn't just funny for Brits, and that it can realistically have a global audience. So it's not the fact you are Americans for me, it's the fact you aren't British. That's what gets me in the door. What gets me to stay is the fact you and the Queen have fun personalities and you engage with your audience.

2025-01-02 02:23:19 +0000 UTCIt's a shame you can only have one answer. It's a combination of some of these things imo

2025-01-01 01:47:55 +0000 UTCIt's a great excuse to re-watch shows that I've already watched to death, but with a new dimension, and you and QB have the perfect on-screen personalities for it. It doesn't have to be British content. Would enjoy reactions of content from other countries, including the US!

2025-01-01 01:08:19 +0000 UTCI always had the perception from watching American television that many Americans didn't really 'get' British people or culture, so I guess it's nice to watch Americans who do. But I watch people of all different nationalities reacting to things, including British people reacting to American stuff, so it's not just that. Also, I do actually like this particular American flaming muppet!

2024-12-31 19:36:25 +0000 UTCIf it’s a show I like, I’ll watch someone reacting to it. British shows or American reactors has nothing to do with it. Whether I keep watching future reactions to shows I like depends on if a reactor was genuine and likeable or not. It can also be interesting to see the perspective of people from different cultures regarding things I’m familiar with. Plus it’s allows me to see familiar things through fresh eyes. King and queen boomer are likeable, seem honest in their views, and so far have always been reacting to at least one show I like. It’s also affordable enough to stay subscribed as a consequence.
John
2024-12-31 19:18:50 +0000 UTCYeah it had to be for QB, her reactions are priceless :) Happy New Year guys...
Steven Sjosten
2024-12-31 17:16:54 +0000 UTCI do it so I can vicariously re-live some of my favourite TV moments through the eyes of someone experiencing them for the first time - but here's the thing; I have to have seen at least a few reactions of this person to know whether I care about what they think, and in the case of KB I think he seems a good chap and not a total helmet.
Dan Haynes
2024-12-31 16:11:04 +0000 UTC" I'm here for Queen Boomer". What, c'mon , only 6% !!! I mean, what would the man himself have chosen? That's why he included it as an option🤷, so the comments weren't full of us saying " We're only here for Callie"! And 42% for a choice with a word that , I reckon, every single one of us had to google

2024-12-31 13:17:11 +0000 UTCWatching reactions is the closest we can come to watching the things we love for the first time again. But also, seeing Americans experiencing the British sense of humour will never not be brilliant.
Jack Nicholas
2024-12-31 13:10:39 +0000 UTCSince watching you and Queen Boomer I've bought into a lot of comedy programmes that I missed first time round! Your laugh and reactions really add to the experience . Also you are the third most intelligent American I have seen (met) behind my friend George Schomburg and Queen Boomer =0)
ROBERT BOOTH
2024-12-31 12:50:38 +0000 UTCWe get so much American media here. We see your sitcoms probably as much as you do, the big ones anyway. Friends, Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld etc.. I always had a curiosity about how much of our stuff you guys get to see, and if you'd like it if you did see it. These reactions satisfy that curiosity.
Mike Currie

2024-12-31 12:08:40 +0000 UTCYou have misinterpreted my comment on the poll. I was actually making fun of the British sense of not bragging about ourselves. We downplay our successes and that sort of thing. It was literally the opposite of what you thought, I was mocking us and not you. The other comment was tongue in cheek. A little gentle ribbing. I somehow doubt it would lose you thousands of subscribers or get you death threats. That most certainly would never be something I would want for anyone. This is very much about cross-wires. There was never any anger or ill intent behind anything I said. That was your interpretation but I can see how that might occur given text lacks the tone of voice necessary to convey full meaning.
Michael K
2024-12-31 08:30:49 +0000 UTCYou know that Ubermensche means "super man" or "higher man" in German (an idea in the philosophy of Nietzsche). For some reason "uber" started being used ironically in a western TV show and people starting saying uber this or uber that....Now....its a cab for some reason...I guess a fast or reliable one I don't know.
R Lawrence
2024-12-31 05:53:32 +0000 UTCIs an uber-muppet a muppet that gathers other muppets up and drives them to a town or city and releases them to disrupt civilization? Because that would make for a good origin story for a villain.

2024-12-31 03:04:24 +0000 UTCBloody well put mate ! For me it was Inbetweeners and father ted and then after all that and I was already in the net found out what genuine love history has. Not even gonna say anything about what he’s like as a friend just as ‘why did I follow this guy?’

2024-12-31 01:15:08 +0000 UTCI enjoy seeing my culture through the eyes of someone from another country, I think it's important to look in from the outside whenever you can. You also have a very infectious laugh 😂. It genuinely warms my heart that you have discovered the joys of Only Fools and Horses and especially Alan Partridge. I actually haven't sat down and watched OFAH for years now (Apart from the specials), as I watched them all to death when I was a kid, but I've found myself binging the entire series via your reactions, and re discovered my love for it! Also Queen Boomer's reactions are adorable!

2024-12-30 22:03:02 +0000 UTCIt's good seeing a diff perspective on British humour, comedians, adverts etc and as others have said many Americans won't have previous knowledge of this material that Brits would have. I also enjoy KB and QB sense of humour and that u know British level of swearing in our shows is fairly ahead of US comedy. Long may you enjoy uk shows. I hope you have watched outnumbered . Not for reaction but just to enjoy the humour of parent child interactions. A happy new year to you both.

2024-12-30 21:38:07 +0000 UTCLook, I’m not trying to be a dick but since you asked. Before being upset with this poll you said this in the last post with the intro video…“Your response to criticism is quite childish and typically American, but I don’t care about that as it is what I expect.” Which is fine. I admit my intros are cringe and I’m getting annoyed with them myself which is probably why I create new ones from time to time. I also haven’t always taken criticism in the best way before. But, again don’t take this the wrong way, but imagine I took your last two comments and said something like this… “Your response to my posts are quite snobby and typically British, but I don’t care about that as it is what I would expect” First of all I would be lying as I don’t think everyone in Britain is a snob. But do you think this would go over well? Or do you think I would have hundreds, perhaps thousands of followers unsubscribing en masse? I might even have some people threaten to kill me (which has happened before btw). Because it’s trashing an entire nation of people instead of just saying “hey mate, your intros are shit…” like dozens of others did in that post. But then getting offended at how a poll was worded is even more bizarre. I’m not trying to be funny or a dick, but when I see someone who appears to be this angry I genuinely want to understand what is making them so upset because I don’t like seeing people that angry. Unless it’s Gordon Ramsay yelling at his employees but that’s a completely different discussion. And I completely disagree with you about describing British humour as fantastic. That’s exactly what I would describe it as because it is amazing and it’s the reason why the majority of us are here. Good day sir.
Brian Moran
2024-12-30 21:33:42 +0000 UTCPersonally, it's not so much that I like watching Americans specifically reacting to British things, I just like to see how other people in general react to things I know and love. Sometimes you or others that do reactions catch things I missed too which is always fun, it also helps me watch it in a new way, and get a different perspective.

2024-12-30 20:41:58 +0000 UTCI think you're both funny and intelligent and like knowing that you actually get our humour and in some cases, know a lot more about European history, geography etc than I do. Which smashes some misconceptions a lot of UK people have about Americans.

Brian Moran
2024-12-30 19:38:09 +0000 UTCProbably a factor of several of the options. I suppose why I watch Americans enjoying British comedies/stuff is the contrast and exposure of things you are not used to that and things I took for granted growing up experiencing? I'm also subbed/ to a guy who is a rocker who started to check out Hip-Hop for a video, watch him slowly fall in love with aspects of it and his journey into it. The reason I suppose I like you two the most as you are both good guys and provide real reactions. There's no pretending to enjoy something just because you think it will be optically and therefore financially better for your channels. If you don't like it, you just admit you don't like it. Even though tbh you both generally seem to enjoy the same things as I do, but even if you don't then that's fine, I want to see where it differs and why.
Matt
2024-12-30 19:29:42 +0000 UTCI chose the second option but the question was formulated in an awful way. I want you to enjoy British humour, but I do not like describing it as fantastic. That sort of obvious arrogance isn't the done thing.
Michael K
2024-12-30 19:15:40 +0000 UTCNowadays the Patreons are a bit of a hidden secret because tv shows don’t make it to YouTube at all. I only have a paid subscription to two, this one and MandyCaneLane and both have a TON more content on Patreon than YouTube. I love the niche rabbit holes like ‘Americans experiencing the Inbetweeners’ or ‘Americans discovering Karl Pilkington’. Also finding new shows and things Like Peep Show which I didn’t pay much attention to when it was broadcast, but is now one of my favourite shows thanks to reactions.
Julian T
2024-12-30 18:52:52 +0000 UTCBecause we all grow up watching American shows on our TV but not much of our stuff makes it over there so it is nice to see it being appreciated. I like you and the queen too and you both seem to get the weird humour here. I've watched some other channels like yours but a lot of the time it all goes over their heads or they fake laugh etc
Doug
2024-12-30 18:51:15 +0000 UTCI enjoy seeing people react to shows I like and have watched. Nationality isn't important, it's more whether they can appreciate the sense of humour in our classic shows.
muu041
2024-12-30 18:46:04 +0000 UTCWell, since other people are giving serious answers… Is this a therapy session? We’re here because we’re weirdos. Firstly, I love Americans. I’ve got family there, I’ve visited about 20 states and I’m a Scottish NASCAR fan (there’s about 5 of us). I started with music reaction channels, then some have mixed content so you discover comedy reactions and educational content like McJibbin’s content. I now spend more time on comedy because it’s contagious and uplifting. Prior to the pandemic I didn’t watch much YouTube at all. It started with the song ‘Black’ by Dave performed at the 2020 Brit awards (amazing if anyone hasn’t seen it). I became addicted to watching every reaction to it. So eventually I discovered a lot of reaction channels such as KB and other watchable people like Brad&Lucy, RegenerationNationTV and MandyCaneLane. So many rabbit holes, the algorithm takes over and here we are.
Julian T
2024-12-30 18:40:58 +0000 UTCKB, you're a brave man for asking Brits their opinion. Just google 'Boaty McBoatface' as for why. (Don't worry, it's nothing sexual or illicit, just a good example of British pisstaking).

2024-12-30 18:31:48 +0000 UTCDeeply appreciate your spelling of humour (I just love how correct the spelling is #getstuffedwebstersdictionary) and I would even more appreciate you taking your break seriously you have yourself a well-deserved relax now Brian

2024-12-30 18:28:57 +0000 UTCI don't really know. I think I just stumbled upon your channel when I was looking through some old Inbetweeners clips. Your boomer mug popped up in the results, and enjoyed your reaction Then a few days later, and another reaction to the Inbetweeners came up in my feed, and I watched that too. And the rest is history. You're genuine and lovely, both of you. I don't watch a lot of reactors, just you guys, Blind Wave and Connor (McJibbin).

2024-12-30 18:24:26 +0000 UTCOn the subject of Queen Boomer as well... I was born and raised in England (Brighton) but my father was Greek, and I've lived on Syros for the past 20 years and my girlfriend is, unsurprisingly, Greek, so there is another connection there!

2024-12-30 18:23:30 +0000 UTCI have two main reasons: one because it's interesting to get another perspective on a film or programme, especially when they tell a story within their life or experience that relates to t the show/film. There's quite a lot of crossover between the UK and the US regarding TV and film...with lots of shows having either both British and American acting talent or a mix of production teams from both countries....or shows which have been done in the UK and US such as Skins and The Office. Second....it just gives the show some rewatch value...still like reason number 1 I like to get another perspective on the show but I'm much more likely to watch something again because of this.
Peter Latham
2024-12-30 18:22:46 +0000 UTCYou guys understand a lot of British humour which is rare. A lot of jokes go over reactors heads, where as in Inbetwreners for example, you understood contextually almost everything and every joke was great to see your reaction to. Closest thing to British Americans.

2024-12-30 18:07:26 +0000 UTCI love watching stuff with you and the Queen, feel like yous are my mates in the dark times, love seeing the dogs doing their thing in the background too. Long may it continue and thank you.
Christy Hennessy
2024-12-30 18:06:03 +0000 UTCDifficult one this - it's a combination of a few of the options presented in the poll, but in reality I've seen a lot of other Americans react to British things, but they rarely understand stuff in the way you do. Often infuriatingly so. This is what marks you out as special in this sphere , but, for me, you've got this nailed. There's no one better. Some come close, but not enough. You're clearly an anglophile now, plus you're just a wonderful, loveable guy, and that's most of the battle won. Hearts and minds.
Phil Robinson
2024-12-30 18:04:44 +0000 UTCStarted out as a curiosity because I was unsure how our humour would translate. For the record, I am not an elitist, there is plenty of great American comedy and entertainment that I love, but I think everyone would agree that we have quite a few cultural differences in presenting comedy, so I was genuinely interested in how Americans would get on with some of our more specific stuff (Only Fools, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, etc) but after having that curiosity satisfied I found I genuinely thought you were a great guy with a great sense of humour, and it's been really fun rewatching some of the classics I love through fresh eyes. Also, as I reach middle age and life responsibilities pile up there are fewer opportunities to hang with mates and enjoy stuff so (GOOD QUALITY < this is important) reaction channels can fill that gap, and it's like watching stuff you know you like with a fellow muppet you know you like so it's a win/win. I think there might be a bit of stigma around reaction channels, but I think that sort of thinking is ridiculous. So I guess I tick a few boxes. And hey, who doesn't love Queen Boomer!

2024-12-30 17:06:29 +0000 UTCI remember a time when I thought watching people react to shows on YouTube was crazy, I just didn't see the point, then I started noticing a lot of reactions to Peep Show, Father Ted and The Inbetweeners and I was like ok they're some of my favourite all-time shows so I'll have a little look to see if these guys love them as much as me, and well, I got hooked, it's a lot of fun watching you lose your shyte at a really funny part, and then you and the Queen reacting together added a whole new dynamic, next I'm having to watch the full reactions on Patreon... and I have to confess, you've got me into shows I hadn't watched before which I now adore like Man Down, Fresh Meat and The Thick of It, so it works both ways, you can't beat a little laugher!
Mark Jones
2024-12-30 16:57:44 +0000 UTCComedy is made for reactions I guess. It's hard to find someone in the UK who hasn't already reacted to all the British and American comedy out there, but plenty of Americans still just discovering the British stuff. It's good too because we all know what's going to happen, all the one-liners etc, you usually have no idea what's coming when you're watching this stuff.

2024-12-30 16:41:10 +0000 UTCI love watching the reactions, because it's like when you love something and want your friends/family to see it with you, for the first time, so you can see what they think about it. I think the UK reactions is a big thing, because growing up in the UK pretty much everyone has seen the things you love, so seeing American people react, is popular, because they might not have seen the things you loved growing up. Plus it's so interesting to see how different cultures react or interpret things. It's also nice because you're a great reactor, and just seem like a cool person, so it's fun to watch stuff with you.
Laura Murray
2024-12-30 16:33:15 +0000 UTCDefinitely the vicarious fun. It doesn't have to be Americans reacting, but they/you tend to hit a sweet spot of being culturally close enough to get plenty of stuff that would be lost on non-native English speakers, while also being the most culturally insular of the Anglophone countries, so you haven't been exposed to UK shows as much as people in other Commonwealth nations, and tons of stuff we know and love is brand new to you. Plus, as someone else has said, you hit a certain age and all your oldest and closest friends are suddenly scattered far and wide, and we've all got family responsibilities that keep us busy, so it's nice to have an online substitute for the old film nights and stuff we used to enjoy as younger, more carefree muppets.
Ian Richards
2024-12-30 16:31:02 +0000 UTCTrue story... in 2011 I had a breakthrough in TV comedy writing (a show involving Sean Lock). Probably my fault but the show was cancelled at the end of that series. Despite a few other efforts, the comedy writing came to an end and my love for comedy had been sapped away. I didn't even watch it for about 10 years, then saw a clip of you and QB on YouTube. So you actually made me watch comedy again. And for that I thank you. Happy new year!

2024-12-30 16:15:22 +0000 UTCIt allows me to re-experience how I felt watching it for the first time but through someone else's eyes. Also, Queen Boomer is very attractive. You're not too bad yourself, lad.

2024-12-30 16:04:48 +0000 UTCIt's a mix of vicariously rewatching stuff I enjoy and also liking you even though youre a muppet. I mean, liking you is probably a bit strong. Enjoy watching you is more accurate. Although I would probably like your company in real life - but not in a weird stalker way. Also - Queen B and your relationship is fun to watch and I very much enjoy you reacting together. More than that - I'm determined to kill you laughing one day as I hate Americans and as as petty revenge for the war of independence...

2024-12-30 15:59:16 +0000 UTCIt’s interesting watching an American couple properly embrace and get in to British humour and culture. There seems to be a lot of the same stuff on YouTube, but you guys stood out from the others, I first got in to it watching the inbetweeners on YouTube, reactions which were gold and it went from there really, then discovering the Patreon channel. It isn’t simply that though, as stated there are dozens of other accounts doing similar, but your channel and what you have put together is the best, you both are charismatic m, plus aside a handful of shows that are not for me, you react and love a lot of similar stuff to what I do. There is also the big active interest in military history, around the wars, I know you have started the critic channel recently, but in the future something devoted to historical documentary’s / show’s and films, around your interest in history would be very good. I understand the bulk of your membership probably are here for the comedic output, but a history related reaction/ chat/ channel on Patreon would be decent!

2024-12-30 15:58:02 +0000 UTCPlease look into Porridge and Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Both done cold British classics.

2024-12-30 15:48:31 +0000 UTCI feel you mate. The older we become, all our old friends get forgotten over the years. Especially when they get married and have children, as no one seems to have much time to meet up anymore. Also, the internet has distanced people even further. Sorry you're dealing with depression.
Jay
2024-12-30 15:43:13 +0000 UTCI voted using one of the options but wanted to add, seeing people happy and enjoying themselves makes me happy :) I like to share things I enjoy in the hope that others will like it too.

2024-12-30 15:41:48 +0000 UTCI like Americans and it’s nice to find those who enjoy our stuff. And I like King Boomer. And Queen Boomer. It’s a buffet of answers. I do like a buffet as you can probably tell.

2024-12-30 15:41:47 +0000 UTCI think it's nice seeing Americans watching our British TV shows especially the classic shows as at the time when they first broadcast people could take a joke but unfortunately now its changed humour in TV shows seems to be gone. I find watching you and QB its very interesting what views you have on our shows and also its definitely entertaining 😄

2024-12-30 15:33:20 +0000 UTCCos i'm sad, depressed and have no friends, so getting to watch something i enjoy vicariously through someone who although not technically a friend but makes time to enjoy the things i like gives me those vibes. Also american accents don't grate on me as much as others, probably cos all forms of entertainment are saturated by you gun-toting oil-guzzling truck-driving boot-wearing burger-eating coffee-drinking redneck yankee pig-dogs

2024-12-30 15:33:08 +0000 UTCUs Brits have been brought up with the best of American comedy for decades now. The Phil Silvers Show, Cheers, M*A*S*H, The Golden Girls, Married with Children, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and some brilliant comedy films like the Mel Brooks and Zucker Brothers movies. So I think we're secretly a little bit jealous, and want our transatlantic cousins to know that we're also quite funny. It's just nice to see different cultures appreciating our humorous side.

2024-12-30 15:33:03 +0000 UTCIt's nice and in some way gratifying to vicariously see somebody enjoy a number of your old favourite shows while you also get to re-enjoy them and feel nostalgic at the same time. I don't know whether it "being an American" is an important ingredient, but it does add a lot to the feasibility that you may genuinely not already be familiar with a lot of the shows. If I saw a guy my age from the UK claiming to have never seen Father Ted, Blackadder or whatever I would think it's just a lie! I really don't buy into the whole "Americans don't understand comedy so let's have us Brits educate them" thing, but maybe I'm just giving y'all too much credit 😁

2024-12-30 15:31:46 +0000 UTCA combination of a few of those options for me. I said it when I first found KB during his initial Inbetweeners watch in 2022, there's something funny about watching someone see the show for the first time and find it hilarious, freshened things up after having watched them to death myself. However, I've tried other American reaction channels that don't really vibe with me, so the reactor themself has to be likeable and relatable and authentic. Which the Boomers definitely are. Nowadays, I'm actually watching to broaden my own palate regarding British comedy as I'm not that well versed on the different shows so am watching most of them for the first time myself also along with KB.
Oliver
2024-12-30 15:29:20 +0000 UTCIt's not just American YouTubers in fairness, I just like seeing people watch my fav stuff for the first time. Unfortunately my friendship group is a bit of a bubble, we've all seen each other's fav shows already so there's nobody left for me to watch it with. Plus you're a fucking laugh

2024-12-30 15:27:32 +0000 UTCIt's good to see at least a handful of Americans gradually understand that there is actually an entire world outside America, and that the world doesn't necessarily work the same way that it does inside America, nor completely revolved around America. Some American things are good, many are sh!t, (just like anywhere). It's then oddly gratifying watching those Americans on that journey of understanding and appreciation of the real world. When I first heard of reaction videos I thought it was crazy. But here I am now, a fully paid up subscriber. How sad.
Alan
2024-12-30 15:27:23 +0000 UTCFor me, it's less about them being Americans specifically (though I do love them) and more about the fact that it's a person pretty much guaranteed to have never seen what they are reacting to, so I get to enjoy that first reaction. Also, you specifically are a great person to watch reacting. When you nearly choked to death after Robin's little accident in Man Down, I just wouldn't get that with anyone else!
ALW
2024-12-30 15:27:21 +0000 UTCIt's fun seeing people watching/playing something I enjoy for the first time and seeing how they react. With video games, a first-time viewer could be from anywhere and just not have been the right age (or had the right console) to have played that game. But with British TV, it's most likely to be Americans who haven't seen our shows yet.
Alex West
2024-12-30 15:24:13 +0000 UTCAlso I appreciate your sense of humour and your laugh. Especially when you scream-laugh, KB 😂

2024-12-30 15:24:13 +0000 UTCI don't react to all American youtubers, I choose to watch you guys because I love your personalities and your reactions are just priceless. As cheesy as it sounds, I feel like I'm watching my favourite comedies with friends.
Beccy
2024-12-30 15:23:14 +0000 UTCMost Americans don't really get our sense of humour and how it appeals to our dark introvert souls. It's great to see Americans that genuinely love it though and actually get the jokes

2024-12-30 15:21:52 +0000 UTCVoted for the appreciation one as American humour and British humour can be different. There's a clip of Stephen Fry explaining this on YouTube that you should react to if you havn't already. Also, knowing you love The Inbetweeners, you should try the American remake, it bombed lol

2024-12-30 15:21:37 +0000 UTCI think its because we, like everyone else, grew up on American films an TV, while you didn't grow up on ours, so it's nice to see it appreciated by an American who's never seen it and we get to kind of re-experience it 'by proxy' i think the term is.
R Lawrence
2024-12-30 15:21:16 +0000 UTCBecause they have a complete blank slate usually with Brit Comedy and any of the shows, and watching along with someone like that gives a similar feeling to the one you get when watching it for the first time. Same reason I watch rock, new wave and metal music reactions by older fans of rap and hip hop

2024-12-30 15:19:24 +0000 UTCBut also I watch you react to British stiff because its also interesting to learn how our comedy is different from American comedy and I like to see what jokes you understand and what things fly over your head because of culture differences, its just entertaining for some reason, theses shows are shows I've seen my whole life so seeing a new reaction to it kinda renews the shows in my mind also
Daniel Colton
2024-12-30 15:19:24 +0000 UTC2 reasons really. One being I like other people watching my favourite shows as it’s as if I’m watching it for the first time again through someone else’s eyes and two to see what Americans get and don’t get.
