There's no way 25% of brits think the moonlanding is fake, and maybe my brain is skewed from watching too much youtube perhaps but it must be more than 6% of Americans saying its fake by now. And QI, even if it doesn't state categorically untrue statements very often it is very selective and sometimes outright misleading in the way it presents certain types of information. In general though, I don't think English people are more intelligent than Americans, we tend to average out at a similar level of wilful or unconscious ignorance.

Great rant by QB at the beginning. My parents used to call people who B.S. about being all knowledgeable "Nelly Know-all's". A small number of muppets that would mostly frequent pubs and holiday destinations. These days it seems like 70% of the internet is full of them.

I think this community has great affection for Queen Boomer. Sometimes tone doesn't come across in written comments, so I'd like to believe there's a chance the comments were tongue in cheek, lighthearted insults. However, if the comments were intentionally mean spirited then that's dissapointing. There's a lot of very weird people on the internet. You just have to do your best to tune them out. Yes agreed with the QB rant. I've noticed some people in this audience comment without engaging the brain first, more on the YT channel than here tbh. Either way, someone getting annoyed at someone else mixing up two words needs to go out and touch grass or something. It was a funny moment, and harmless as well, end of. Totally agree. I get the impression some people are watching these reactions out of a sense of cultural superiority and looking down on others, rather than just, you know, having a laugh, and enjoying people from other countries enjoying our comedy, whilst also offering their own insights!

Revision can also mean reviewing. So you're reviewing your work and other sources of information you've learned, during your lessons, etc. And correcting any bad or incomplete understanding of the subject field. We use the noun 'study' too, depending on the context. As someone else mentioned, 'studying' here, is your first encounter with the subject. Revision is going over it again to make sure you understand it properly, ie for tests.

I agree with QB with the rant. More generally, I can't tell you how cringeworthy some people can be, and especially so when they happen to be in my group, for certain things. Like in this broader community, of some Americans reacting to British shows. I see some Brits act like gatekeepers for all things British. I'm sure some Americans do the same for all things US related, but some people can be so antagonistic, and it's frustrating when they go after decent, open-minded people like yourselves, who're only curious about life outside the US. You have to wonder what the reactors are thinking, when they get idiots attacking them in the comments for not being all knowing. Just remember that it's them with the problem, not you. They probably talk to their own families the same way.
