2024-11-07 05:47:57 +0000 UTCYes the Matrix guys were Mark Gatiss and Kevin Eldon. You’ve seen Eldon in “Four Lions” and possibly others. Don’t be worried about watching “The League of Gentlemen” Yes it’s pretty bizarre but it’s certainly not overly dark. Definitely one to watch for sure.

Nah his not in League, that's Kevin Eldon, often plays several small characters in things you've been watching such as the "....DIRTY" cleaner in Black Books or the guy who kept laughing in the elevator in "I'm Alan Partridge" and then gets asks to leave the party when he is racist. Oh yeah he also played the patient in the Doctor sketches in Jam you reacted to and loved. The other two in LOG are Steve Pemberton (he was the chav dad Mick in Benidorm) and Reece Shearsmith (I think he might have been in things you reacted to but I know he appears in this show later too). League is great, don't be scared, plus the other stuff they wrote and appeared in such as Psychoville and Inside No. 9 are also great.

Not only was Mark Gatiss in Game of Thrones, the guy opposite him in that scene (Comedian Kevin Eldon) was also in Game of Thrones, playing one of the Theater troupe that Arya Stark became involved in during the later seasons.

Although there's a lot of UK nostalgia in there that you probably won't recognise, I'd think it's probably still enjoyable enough to watch.

2024-11-06 19:47:14 +0000 UTCMark Gatiss is definitely in League of Gentlemen, one of the writers too (ie one of the Gentlemen - along with Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton and Jeremy Dyson). He also co-wrote Sherlock. And he writes a lot of MR James and Jamesian style ghost stories - he made a couple of brilliant documentary series on the history of horror films too. Highly recommend Inside No 9 too

He also played the cleaner in one episode of Black Books. I'm sure he's been in other stuff you've reacted to.
