A great film Boomer. But the TV series with Matt Berry is light years ahead of this and should definitely be on your list of shows to react to.

It’s a really fun film but I do think the tv series is actually miles better and often has as many laughs in a single episode as there are in the film

2024-10-10 18:52:17 +0000 UTCI think the film managed to et a lot out of the budget by limiting the amount of CGI actually needed. The amount of pure CGI is pretty low, while most of the effects are practical with CGI to tidy up the edges. For the last few years I think the biggest limitation a lot of big-budget films have hit against is that they think money can replace effort. You can get a hell of a lot out of a fairly modest budget, but only if the studio is willing to let the makers have the time they need to do things properly.
