Spaced S1 Ep5 "Chaos" REACTION!

Let's go get our dog back.

Spaced S1 Ep5 "Chaos" REACTION!

Comments

The hip hop beat is Half Breed and DJ Spree - Darth Fader πŸ‘πŸΌ

Stephen Prothero

Can’t you just cast it to your TV from your phone. That’s what I do 🀣

Stephen Prothero

Well, I now really want a cheese toastie.

Will

Basically, the gunner in STAR WARS Ep IV didn't shoot, because the only way to get promoted was based on your Kill Per Shot Accuracy. Shooting at an 'empty' box would be bad on his record and they would have spent years looking for plans that are now vaporized.

Danny Heywood

IF you are gonna take a Phone Call. Put it on Loud Speaker!

Danny Heywood

Re-watch. 14:35 Daisy Steiner WINS!

Jason Scade

Yeah no worries really, I found it funny 🀣

Stuart Gunpowder

KB pondered whether to edit it out and just said, fuck it, i'll leave it in 🀣 i know hes busy with moving house atm anyway

Ketzalborne

Do you have the Vimeo app on your Fire Stick? I was able to find this workaround where you add the videos to your "Watch Later" list in Vimeo and then you can watch the list from your Fire Stick (you need a free Vimeo account to do this).

Chay Davenport

Anyone got any idea if I can get Patreon app on my fire stick . A channel this funny needs to be on the big screen

Adam Williams

It was only the original trilogy that existed at this point - Phantom Menace had been out a couple of months when the first episode of Space aired

Kieran B

How apt, that the name 'Kujo' is said in these times of Renegades!! Coincidence?....probably. Get on this for all you Pete and Bas lovers - Nine and Dex - Pumpkin Pie

Dannythedoodle

That comment is so nonsensical I'm going to assume your arguing with yourself rather than with me

Richard Stokes

GoT stole season 8 ep 3 straight from Sean of the Dead, The Winchester is Winterfell, zombies - last stand at the bar - sets fire round the bar - hide in cellar :D

emu cat

And the track sampling it was "More Beats and Pieces" by Coldcut.

Regular Viewer Bunty Hoven

Peter and the wolf.

Caity H

Well Jay, as we know, that will be dealt with later...

Phil Robinson

To be fair, that was a bit... eerie. We're not used to an extended period of him absent from his chair. He just forgot to cut it out. Or maybe not. Only KB knows...

Phil Robinson

What was the credit song? Or at least the original that was then remixed and used for the credits. It's from some classic Disney movie, right?

Joe Thornhill

It's been 20 odd years for me, but yes, well spotted. :)

Phil Robinson

The final scene is also a call-back to the Marxist guard dog that Bill Bailey was talking about earlier which was now said to be roaming Hampstead Heath, while the guy who was being attacked had made 250k from his illegal business

Gary B

Fun fact: the kid being chased in the homage to The Shining was Alfie Allen who played Theon in GoT. The man chasing him was his actual dad Keith Allen who was a actor and also father of Lily Allen

Matt

FYI, when they keep saying "close to the meat" it's a reference to Hampstead Heath in north London being very famous for , let's just say, nocturnal activities carried out by men in the bushes...

Chris

🎢 Oh, it gets dark. It gets lonely. 🎡

Jason Scade

spaced is awesome, not hilarious but very entertaining. You don't need to try and glorify it for people mate

Demceez

Nope. Direct quote.

Martyn Dawson

looked more like the resident evil 1 classic menu screen cutscene reference to me

Demceez

Well it does mean that but it doesn't have to really... I'm just saying it to mean beyond real (which is literally the etymology of the word)... Unreal... Weird... Strange... Unusual... Something much more usual would have been to pause the recording... Whereas just leaving it recording while taking a personal call is like something from beyond my wildest dreams... So, there you go I guess πŸ˜…

Stuart Gunpowder

You know surreal means dream-like, right? Trying to work out what was like a dream about it.

Bruce Bowden

The music used in the action scenes at the end was Fluke - Absurd. It's an absolute banger of a tune.

Martin N

Last quote from American Werewolf in London underground scene. Yup. πŸ‘πŸ½

Martyn Dawson

I think Phantom Menace had just come out, hence why it references the original trilogy as three "good" Star Wars movies later.

Jay

Great ep / reaction. πŸ˜‚ Yes, the end is ref to American Werewolf, it's the same line and even the delivery of it. Good catch. πŸΊπŸ‘ Did you ever notice that Rik Mayall has a tiny part in American Werewolf, he's among the regulars at the Slaughtered Lamb at the beginning of the film. And Alan Ford (Bricktop and Alan Partridge boxing gangster) has a small role near the end of the film as a talkative cabbie. www.youtube.com/watch?v=07FdVcspOfQ 11:10 You don't F with the MurderBears. #RememberTheAlamo

Jason Scade

Bill Bailey appeared briefly in an earlier episode. Pretty sure you commented on it. Keep up ya muppet! πŸ€ͺ

Martyn Dawson

KB - yes, that final scene was a reference to American Werewolf in London - the chap who was trapped in the Tube station. "I can assure you, this is not in the least bit amusing!" before getting chomped on the escalator. (That guy in the Tube station in American Werewolf played Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi - I only found that out recently but its a fun bit of trivia). Feel like this is where SPACED starts firing on all cylinders - but before this it needed to at least make you understand the characters first (and possibly care) before it starts doing this kind of wild stuff. Expect plenty more Star Wars refs going forward... Plus, Aida (playing Colin) is a legend. Always hitting her mark. Never needed too many retakes thanks to her handler on set, and just being a natural actor of course. EDIT - please give us more Nora - I know she drives you mad with her wanting to be in or out, but she's a gorgeous wee dog.

Phil Robinson

A crescent of crisp and a boiled egg and a side clump of cress... anytime... anytime in the next 15 mins :)

carrot

The little girl in the red coat is a reference to the movie Don't Look Now. It has nothing to do with looking for a dog but a nice little nod to a remarkable film anyway!

David Mannion

A really tight episode. Even the make-up bag was relevant.

Bruce Bowden

That was very surreal KB just walking off for a phone call 🀣

Stuart Gunpowder

"I hope they're watching the original trilogy..." That was the only Star Wars trilogy that existed at the time this was made!

Patrick Coyle

It's about getting used to the flow of Spaced that's when you enjoy it. Now your used to it I think you will like it from here. Next one is really good

Richard Stokes

Excellent 😊
