Sir Thomas Moore?..

(Not a question for KB) I don't get it, what happened to the bit in this episode with the fat armed woman where he tried to make up for it by saying she had a nice face and the other woman wasn't having it, how can that have been cut out?, I haven't finished the episode yet but I don't remember it being later than that it was in that scene I'm sure. (Edit, it must have just been in an extended cut but I don't get it cause it was funny)

R Lawrence

To be honest I really don't think what order you watch the series in matters now that you are familiar with the basic arc and origin of the character. "This Time with Alan Partridge" is the best one and it's the last 2 series he did (I think). I don't rate the live shows that much (or at least not the last one i saw) but some people seem to be suggesting it. I really don't think the order matters now (except episode order obviously). (I like parentheses so what?)

R Lawrence

I know I've seen Polly in 'Call the Midwife' more, but wasn't she just in 'The thick of it'?

Joe Thornhill

I HAVE moved twice, but with virtually nothing. First time was literally just my school uniform on my back and my bag on my shoulder (again with hardly anything in it).

Joe Thornhill

There's an AP live show clip with the laptop on stage that must been seen. Coogan's live AP gigs show his crowd work skills in character without missing a breath. It would make sense to do one or two in the midst of the catalogue run through before the TV stuff is up to date.

100% 😄

This whole series is so brilliantly written - some of the jokes, the asides, the glances of Sidekick Simon are so subtle that they can go unnoticed. But watch it 2 or 3 times and you will pick up new stuff each time. Genius.

Tom

How dare you have a life and not give us constant content. Who do you think you are? Only joking , all the best with the move . Also yes series 2 and also Alan partridge scissored isle. Or these are the places of my life.

Andy H

Fantastic. Superb. Loved it.

Paul Archibald

Yes they were talking about the same Wolf Hall. There’ll be another series of it coming out relatively soon.

Luke Barton

Wow that’s a thorough list mate

Brian Moran

Best wishes for the move and your new castle. ♥ Fab ep / reaction. 9:00 My partner was laughing her head off. She said "KB's having an AP rant mid-show."

Jason Scade

Such great episodes. You really see a vulnerable side of Alan, when he talks about burying his dog, the issues with his Dad and falling for his new co-host. Steve Coogan's acting in these ones is genuinely very good.

Jay

Never heard any excess background sound I could hear, apart from once (a lawnmower recently, but wasn't that bad). As for the muppets who were being rude, I'd have told them to piss off. Constructive criticism is one thing, but no one needs to be a jerk about it. Unfortunately, it seems to be the "normal mode" for too many folks these days.

Love your t shirt. Good luck with the move, bud.

TIL KB's got two dogs.

James Aston

Before those, his Jonathan Ross interview from 2011 is must-see Partridge!

Manly Stump

There's also his appearance on Jonathan Ross in 2011, and Partridge sections of the Steve Coogan Live Shows "The Man Who Thinks He's It" and "As Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters"

Manly Stump

Zoe knew what she was doing ;)

Jon

He's already seen Alpha Papa I think..

Jon

:D

Jon

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is what you've got left: Open books - 40 mins Welcome to the places of my life - 45 mins Alpha papa - 90 mins Mid morning matters 2 - 6 eps Scissored isle - 45 mins This time - 12 eps Strategem - 90 minutes So that's 23 Partridge reactions left unless I missed something, but I also read that he's currently filming a new series so there'll be at least another 6 episodes in 2025

ryung246

Brian Moran

The only older video noises I remember is that fucking haunted chair!

Z is for Zed

Brian Moran

And then Scissored Isle at the end of MMM

Kieran B

Beat me to it! 😀 this, excluding the audio books of course which I highly recommend also.

Tim Phillipson

Two specials are next after S1 of MMM: - Alan Partridge on Open Books with Martin Bryce, and - Alan Partridge - Welcome to the places of my life. Then its on to season 2 of MMM :)
