NIck Frost looks crazy.

I like this show, but it's not a very quotable show that's for sure. A lot of it's humour is based on action and cinematography (which is why it's no surprise Edgar Wright's career took off like it did). Green Wing and Dark Place are similar in that regard, except they do also have some very funny dialogue to boot.

Relyx

he supports everton of course he salty xD

Demceez

All 3 of the leads guest starred in Doctor Who later. Simon was in the 1st of the new series, Jessica sort of married David Tennant and Nick was Santa Claus πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ„

Graeme Robertson

oh yh forgot you were asked about your non important negative opinion. and if you have to name yourself something with 'big' in it...........

alexmiller

The ending was a reference to the film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."

Bruce Bowden

BTW, there was no sexual activity between them. They just had a smoke after they tidied up the room.

Bruce Bowden

And nobody asked for your opinion Alex, so stop getting your frilly pink panties in a twist and chill out lass!

BigChanChan

pipe down lad. no one is forcing you to watch

alexmiller

Oh my god I completely forgot how much of a bitch Twist was

I've always seen this as the weakest episode of the shows run. I'd say there's 2 real standout episodes one is in series 1 and the other is in series 2. Well worth sticking with.

Simon

Oh, really? Forgot that was a show.

Joe Thornhill

Magnificent Seven

Thomas Woodward

Andy Williams is definitely a glory hunter

Everton FC πŸ”·β—½οΈπŸ”·

Me too and I'm with you!

ANTONY

What was that theme from again at 20 mins? Lone Ranger?

Joe Thornhill

Good job your opinion is meaningless then. Everton FC? Well someone has to.

Andy Williams

And seeing who you support..you should know...maybe don't watch the ones u don't like

Paul Liversage

Jamie

Bikeaholic

This show is crap in my opinion.

Everton FC πŸ”·β—½οΈπŸ”·

For those stating their age... You do know this was made in 1999 lol?... It wasn't made now so obviously I was referring to the type demographic it was targeting when it was actually produced 🀦

BigChanChan

I'm 57 and love it too"

ANTONY

I am 47 and I love it. 🀷

Sally Waites

It's actually Albuquerque mate.

Jamie

no such luck in the UK would just be an excuse for a piss up 🀣 a house warming party

I'm still not getting the appeal of this show... I'm trying my best to stick with it, I really am!... I just feel like it's aimed at students who are easily pleased with the constant movie references.

BigChanChan

The first two episodes are "setting up" episodes to introduce the characters and are by far the weakest, especially as they're confined to the flat (although I don't think there's a single weak episode, just less good). It picks up from next episode onwards.

My missus thought the lyrics was "I love cookie" for 35 years! before I corrected her πŸ˜†

This show is jam packed with references to films, it’s part of the fun looking out for them. The dvd has an option to turn on a Homage Meter, kinda like subtitles but it tells you what films and shows they’re paying homage to. There were a lot of things that slipped by me. The bit when Pegg and Frost fight and take aim at each other was a Reservoir Dogs reference. It’s such a fun show, even when I’m not laughing i just enjoy watching it and it’s definitely a show that rewards repeat viewing, especially regarding the references, you’ll notice more things and little details each time. Not so much for me now that seen it at least 20 times over the past 24 years. Btw they didn’t have sex, they just cleaned the flat (it looked tidy plus the hoover was nearby) but obviously they wanted you to think they did it for a moment with the Nine and 1/2 minutes later caption being a reference to the erotic film 9 1/2 weeks, as well as them both smoking.

James Ellison

The paper boy was Tony Way, he’s in so much stuff

Kieran B

She said β€˜don’t worry Tim’, nothing to do with wanking

Kieran B

The ending and the bit with the mashed potato was a reference to Close Encounters of the third kind.

Neal Murdoch

They just tidied up

Kieran B

Pretty much any weird sequence is a film reference

Kieran B

Before anyone comments I know that’s not the real lyrics and it’s Albuquerque πŸ˜‚

Kieran B

Field of Dreams is a brilliant father and son movie, maybe not a brilliant baseball movie!

Jamie

The ending with the party upstairs was a reference to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, as was Tim's mash potato mountain in the beginning. Marcia was in Alan partridge, the episode where he sacked everyone and spend the day with her at the owl sanctuary

Bikeaholic

Hot Dog, Jumping Frog, Alma Cookies!

Jason Scade

They cleaned up Brian, they cleaned up. That's all they were talking about. lol

Geraint Harrison

Little Big League was a fun movie. The Sandlot was great though. Makes me think of my own childhood every time. Nostalgia. And very quotable.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Yay, was getting KB withdrawal systems. Good to see your feeling better, great reactions πŸ‘

Duncan

They tidied up.

Richard M

Yeeeeees more Spaced. Sunday night FTW
