Poll for Show Reaction Popularity

I'm dropping this poll to get a sense of what you lovely muppets would like to see me react to in the future.

This poll is also multiple choice, so pick the ones you like.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!! This does not mean that the top voted show will be reacted to next. There are some shows that I am reserving for Queen Boomer to watch with me when she has more time. So if you don't see the top voted show appear in a reaction video premier soon after this poll it's not because I do not want to do it. This poll is simply to get an understanding of where the muppetism is gathering. Cheers! And choose wisely, there are A LOT of choices here.

SECOND IMPORTANT NOTE!!! I was only able to give a maximum of 25 choices so if you don't see your recommended show on here it is because I ran out of room. Sorry!

Comments

V. Hb,

Mark

Bit late, but 'A touch of cloth'. Spoof modern cop show played straight. If you like Naked Gun or Airplane, you'll love it. And there aren't many episodes.

ALW

Royle Family Bad Education Big School

Adam

same phoneshop is probs most suitable for his taste in comedy series too

J

I threatened to disown him ...last I checked we are still friends lol

Craig McCulloch

Hey I told him Id disown him if he does that show ... but people pay and take part of the votes ... maybe id just hate watch it if he did it out of spite

Craig McCulloch

he does intently listen and if he doesn't react doesn't mean he missed it - just not a laugh - he like Malcolm Tucker though

Craig McCulloch

Poll is done and decisions made .... comments are gonna be interesting... there should be everyone happy - lets leave any riots to the idiots as this poll got ...well pretty spicy in places

Craig McCulloch

Was down to most commented for... sorry love both those shows

Craig McCulloch

its not the show is bad because JC is in it we just dont want to see him

Craig McCulloch

Hate watching is an option i guess if you had too

Craig McCulloch

Steve you are a man after my own heart - just please have patience...

Craig McCulloch

polls are in - choices have been made - you may or may not be surprised with whats been picked

Craig McCulloch

Sad to see The Royle Family and Outnumbered not on here

Rhys Jones

Working on tactical voting against Gavin & Stacey. Changed my first choice of spaced to brass eye to bulk up the numbers.

Neal Murdoch

The difficult part is finding a rusty knife or spoon. Modern day utensils are extremely resistant to corrosion. Maybe after 10 years of dishwasher use. Or if you put it away wet and it reacts after a while.

Julian T

I think so too 👍

Martin N

Royale family better than everything on this list 😂

Chr17topher reeves

I've only recently watched Toast of London. KB you need to watch this even if it's not for the channel and just for yourself. It's friggin hysterical. If you liked Matt Berry (Douglas) in the IT Crowd you will love him in this.

Karl Rocks

I would rather watch King Boomer and Queen Boomer watch a full lee evans standup reaction 'Roadrunner live at the O2 arena'

Sophie

Some real turkeys on this list.

Dean Carter

Line of Duty is an amazing show, but if I’m watching drama I’m more likely to watch the full screen version on a tv than a reaction. But if I’ve seen it before then maybe I suppose. I don’t think we’re scraping the barrel in terms of comedy.

Julian T

To be honest a ‘dramatic and realistic portrayal of teen life’ doesn’t sound that appealing. I prefer the laughs and nostalgia. I also like the variety of watching shows from different eras. I’m sure everything with a decent amount of popularity will get watched at some point.

Julian T

well the inbetweeners is obviously in its own league but they're different genres if you ask me. like it doesn't have the kind of raw gritty darker side to teen culture that Skins captures so well. imo anyway

James West

If you had read the description, you would know that only 25 of the most mentioned have been selected for voting.

Grady Parsons

I'm not that bothered about Gavin and Stacey, but apparently it's the TV version of Marmite. I think Phoneshop should be done, mainly because I haven't watched it yet.

Grady Parsons

You mean you'd rather cut off your penis with a rusty bread knife.

Grady Parsons

Absolutely nothing. There is something wrong, however, with those who choose to belittle others on their interests.

Grady Parsons

Yes, I genuinely can't keep up, either.

Grady Parsons

Mainly because Line of Duty and Happy Valley are terrible?

Grady Parsons

It's nothing compared to the Inbetweeners.

Grady Parsons

No royal family???

zStarr

Sad To see Outnumbered isn't on the list. That is one I think you and QB would enjoy

lewis

Don't worry about it it's all good

Adam 95

I can be bothered to read if this has been said before but “inside no. 9” has GOT TO BE on a list somewhere!

Caity H

😂😂

Craig McCulloch

I think that too

Chris Silverthorne

Sorry fella. Just did

Chris Silverthorne

He's reacted to plenty I don't like. I just don't watch them

Chris Silverthorne

I think if any US reactor is gonna get G&S it will be KB

Chris Silverthorne

I think if any US reactor will get it, it will be KB

Chris Silverthorne

I'm with you on this mate. Some threatening to leave if he chooses G&S. There have been loads KB reacts to that I don't like. I skip past them and watch what I do like

Chris Silverthorne

I like a lot in the comments here don't like James Corden. I do however think that Gavin & Stacey is a top tier sit com. I think it's perfect for a KB and QB recation series. It's winning and I hope you go for it King

Chris Silverthorne

After the conversation on the last Black Books a out the Shadowman sketch I think Boosh would be right up his/ their street.

Paflad

I have to say, I am finding it kind of hilarious that a show that gets slagged off in the comments of literally every video KB posts is not only getting some votes, but winning comfortably. That's why these polls are important I guess. They show what the silent majority think, rather than just the loudest complainers. I say this as someone who doesn't have an opinion on gavin and Stacey one way or the other, BTW. I'm certainly not rooting for it by any means. My vote was perennial loser Phoneshop

Paflad

She is surrounded by Nazis.

John

The Germany/england/Spain series are classic British comedy. Then you see some of the choices in the poll. Depressing.

John

My advice would be choose 4 from the last poll which were the most popular. Having so many waters down the results and people will complain whatever the result is.

Geraint Harrison

Some of those poll scores, Jesus.

John

nice list, can i vote to downvote gavin and stacey, lul. Disappointingly low score on Skins... It's such a fantastic show. I stand very firmly in my view it's one of the best and most dramatic + realistic portrayals of teen life in the UK during that era. I can't help but feel like maybe your audience here just don't know of it or aren't of the right generation when seeing older and (in my opinion) much worse shows from like the 80's or early 90's getting much more votes. sad to see it. that being said the thick of it would be a decent trade-off (my opinion!)

James West

🤣

Beccy

Thats a fair point..... but if he picks Gavin & Stacey.... I WILL HAVE HIS LIFE .🤣🤣

Craig McCulloch

I didnt know that happened - I was aware it was likely to happen (KB reacting) - so I am sorry. I wasnt having a go either it was more of dropping a potential teaser, sorry if it was taken the wrong way ...

Craig McCulloch

lol I didn’t even know there was a schedule. I’ve never expected something to drop on a specific day. But I’ve usually got a million hours of other tv to watch and a YouTube watch list with about 200 items.

Julian T

Would love to see KB watch My Family BBC Show

UK Zezima

There's a ton of good comedy, this list is a tiny portion of it.

Wilss

Why does it have to be mainly sitcoms? We are quickly running out of commedy greats and scraping the barrel. Why not sprinkle in a few serious things like a police show such as 'Line of Duty' or 'Happy Valley'.

Skeletor

Tom, turns out she's transphobic. Even though she created a character "Nymphadora Tonks" who can shapeshift into anyone. I.E. Switch genders.

Joe Thornhill

What’s wrong with JK Rowling? I’ve never read / watched the Harry Potter stuff 🤔

Tom

a lot of top shows getting lots of votes! good to see

Jake Lol

Well said Richard mate

Hamish Drummond

Imagine it, you sit down after a hard day whatever, you haven't memorised the schedule cos you're normal and you remember Patreon only to find Corden's pig face in the thumbnail, despair !!

emu cat

listen, obviously you can do whatever you want with your channel and Patreon, but if James Corden shows his face, I don’t know if I could take it anymore. 😂

Geraint Harrison

'The Thick Of It' would be the cerebral choice. KB would have to watch and listen very intently to get the nuances along with the Grade A insults and swearing (cursing).

Fordy7169

KB suffered a bout of severe muppetry and posted the premier notification too soon. It's imminent I believe.

Fordy7169

Agreed, just try to put the image/reputation of Corden now out of your mind. Gavin and Stacey started it's run approx. 17 years ago.

Fordy7169

KB, of those in the list 'The Vicar of Dibley' would suit a King & Queen reaction as would 'Not Going Out', 'Gavin and Stacey', 'Green Wing' due to the presence of significant female characters/storylines IMO

Fordy7169

Exactly, I agree. I’m looking forward to starting new shows, whatever they are. Also looking forward to what future polls look like. I’ve been subscribed almost a year and I’m still working through some archives. I wonder how many people are just buried in the archives compared to how many are anxious about new shows.

Julian T

GREEN WING (for some reason I can't vote)

Matthew Mosley

Do people really despair if there isn’t an upload every day? I already struggle to keep up with everything.

Julian T

I think this poll proved that you'll have an audience regardless of what show you choose considering all 25 listed have at least 50 votes.. You can't please everyone so even if the next show you choose is one I'm not a fan of, I'll just wait for one I do enjoy, like I did with phoenix nights / max and paddy when you were watching Benidorm haha!

ryung246

I have to say, I am SHOCKED to see bad education so high considering the amount of negative comments I've seen about Jack Whitehall in the past... I like him in fresh meat and his idiot abroad style 'Travels with my father' show so I'm not a hater, but I thought bad education was awful! Take my opinion with a pinch of salt though as 150+ people clearly love it, so might be worth a watch for you! Re. Gavin & Stacey it's a watchable 6/10 show.. It's not as funny as it's cult classic status suggests, but is nowhere near as bad as the people who hate James Corden imply. I don't love it but you won't get any hate from me for choosing it, it's a genuine UK cult classic despite the divisiveness

ryung246

I think the Mitchell and Webb look should be a great edition

Rhys Jones

Darkplace for sure. Quite a quick one too, only six episodes.

Patrick Coyle

💯, I recently heard Marillion’s Lavander Blue on the radio and it made me think of Nighty Night, such a messed up but brilliant show.

James Ellison

I really think you would love bad education!

Maisie Newlands

Not brain damaged thanks 👍🏻

Beccy

It's a good job you have a choice them 👍🏻

Beccy

Gavin and stacey is a great watch ,hopefully you now british enough to get the vibe

Tom Richardson

That was a fair question, i had the notification too so i was a bit confused where it was. I didn’t get the vibe your inpatient by asking.

James Ellison

A few granny-ticklers in there, eek. voted but would prefer Nighty Night as it's wilder. over 3K votes, wow, i expect to see a gold baby-buggy soon! If you have to do Grating and Spazzy would you consider making it a double upload day so us haters don't despair?

emu cat

Pleased to see one foot in the grave is not only being considered but also doing pretty well in the poll. You people have good taste!

John Johnstone

Little Britain is the same half a dozen 'jokes' in different locations each time. Watch the first episode and you've seen them all.

Michael Banfield

I'm 50/50 he might like Boosh. I think he enjoys weird and wacky but it's finding the right kind. League of Gentlemen is a kind of dark grosser heavier kind of weird ( not a put down I'm a fan) and Boosh is a lighter surreal weird (except series 3 which gets darker!), so I think by that reasoning he might like it. But both can be an acquired taste so who knows!

Richard Stokes

I only ask because i got a notification saying that he uploaded an episode and then when i went to click on it the video wasn't there.

Adam 95

He said on yesterday's livestream that he was uncertain about League of Gentlemen because it just seemed too weird for him. Given that, I can't imagine he'd enjoy Boosh!

Manly Stump

He would 100% love shameless.

Ryan K

Dark Place for Richard Ayoade at his funniest.

Nick

I agree with this. 5 percent is an exceptional performance considering this fact

Richard Stokes

I’m a bit worried Gavin and Stacey could have way too many UK references that it might not be that funny for you. I noticed that a lot of Benidorm didn’t translate if you weren’t aware of UK pop culture at the time it was made. Vicar of Dibley would be great - just remember it we’d made around the time woman were allowed to be vicars for the first time

Michael May

Luckily for you, and the medical services, nobody is forced to watch anything

Julian T

The thing is, it’s not that important, and expressing an opinion doesn’t mean it’s more or less valid than other opinions. If he watches a few episodes and doesn’t like a show he can ditch it. I personally don’t think “guarantee of quality” means anything. Everyone’s favourite shows are different.

Julian T

B-tech Vic & Bob.

Dan the man

You like you panel shows, how about HIGNFY or Never Mind the Buzzcocks? Shooting Stars? All completely different but all dead funny.

Dan the man

*Anything that James Cordon has touched.

Dan the man

VOD had charm and a good cast. I’d rather staple my scrotum to the floor with a croquet hoop and beat my testes wafer thin with a meat tenderiser than watch Gavin & Stacey though.

Dan the man

Concisely put..🫡

Dan the man

You’re my wife now Dave….😂

Dan the man

I remember Gimme Gimme Gimme being mostly forgettable. Ironically

Dan the man

There’s way too many choices to get a runaway winner and if you think about it, the vast majority don’t want any of the above with only a small number selecting each

GeeBee

Darkplace is legendary

Menty

Aww, no Auf Wierdersehen, Pet?

[Cykoid]

The league of gentlemen

Johnnyenglish

Most of best comedy shows you've either reacted to already or are in the middle of reacting to atm. This list is a bit like scraping the bottom of the barrel in many of the choices on it

Yaapsdad

This list is so varied too. From sketch shows , The fast show to silly, satire, comedy drama etc. There are so many different types. It really depends what type of comedy show you want to try and watch next KB

Yaapsdad

People like nice nice unthreatening shows. The shows with high viewing figures aren't necessarily the best. Same with films and music. The charts are usually middle of the road music but the best cutting edge stuff doesn't make it in there. Popularity is no guarantee of quality

Yaapsdad

This is the problem about doing things by committee. Most American comedy is written by many people/large groups whereas British shows are written by one or two people at most usually. The ideas get diluted, watered down. Same with picking from this list. Looks like Gavin and Stacey is going to win but compared to many on this list its shite. I've seen literally hundreds of sitcoms and sketch shows. There are plenty mentioned in the comments and on this list that are not very good really and some that are great. Ultimately you'll pick one and I hope it's worthwhile for me but most especially for you KB

Yaapsdad

if you didn't vote moaning of life what's wrong with you

Kurt David Bosworth

I will gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon rather than watch Gavin and Stacey!

Dan

I would love KB (and QB) to watch Brass Eye and/or The Fast Show! (Gavin & Stacey / James Corden can fuck off)

(Just) Steve

Gavin and Stacey will surely be done sooner or later because wrongly or rightly the numbers are there and these are paying subscribers we are talking about! I will be adopting the mantra of "if you don't like it you don't have to watch". Would personally love Spaced, the Mighty Boosh, League Of Gentlemen (not that it's even on the list?!!?!!)

Stuart Gunpowder

It's not a comedy ( though funny at times) but I'd really recommend the series spin off of the film 'This is England' by Shane Meadows, as a more drama based watch. It's really got a feeling of England in the 80s. It's just all round brilliant. I'm a fan of Skins in terms of the writing in a similar way but don't remember it being a comedy more a drama

Richard Stokes

Have casted my votes accordingly! Not going to name names but on the most part it's out and out comedies (and the funnier ones in my own opinion) that I am interested in seeing your laughter at. Some of the choices, though perhaps decent shows that are still worth a watch - I don't necessarily see the point in getting your reaction to even if I do actually like them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Stuart Gunpowder

Gavin and Stacey? Are people here brain damaged? That show is lame trash. Thick of It, Misfits or Bad Education would be better. First season of Misfits felt like Inbetweeners.

Squanchy

Tom I help in the background of KBs channel - you have NO idea how many time ive threatened disowning him if James Corden show up LMAO

Craig McCulloch

I'm also very confused, KB has mentioned it multiple times, it's akways up there in the polls, but I never see anyone commenting about it. Especially considering the other options, Bad Education - continue to explore Jack Whitehall, White Gold - guys from inbetweeners, Spaced - Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (nuff said), Phoneshop - quirky comedy/sitcom, The Thick Of It - Angry sweary Scotsman.....nah Gaving and Stacey just makes sense you know...

LiamShaer7

Also you will like the thick of it it's by one of the peep show writers and armando ianucci

Richard Stokes

I’d rather chew on a cactus than watch that guff. Gavin and Stacy that is. Bloody orrible shite

Geraint Harrison

To see Gavin and Stacey winning over a mostly top quality list of options is very depressing. It's the worst thing on there by far and I don't think you will like it either KB. The options I think you will like are Darkplace, Spaced, Brasseye and the bonkersness of the mighty boosh imo

Richard Stokes

Brian I want you to know I voted for The Fast Show!!

Craig McCulloch

your patience - just chill for a bit

Craig McCulloch

If you f&%kers vote Gavin and Stacey....

Craig McCulloch

Shame Coupling isn’t on that list, it’s such a great show. It’s a very good list though.

James Ellison

upstart crow for you and the queen!

K Bruun Kristensen

The animal violence is growing on him, but I'm not sure he's there yet.

Z is for Zed

As long as you do a selection no worries. Can't and have never got the fuss about Gavin and Stacey and Not Going Out to be fair - just find them more annoying than funny - I personally wouldn't watch reactions to them. Lots of other classics that I think you'd love though on there though - The Thick of it, One Foot in the Grave, Toast of London, Cuckoo, Bad Education would all be good choices. Also hoping in the future you'll consider doing some of Peter Kay's stand up (live at Bolton Albert Halls, live at the top of the tower, live at Manchester Arena, tour that didn't tour etc), Peter Kay's Car Share, Brasseye, Little Britain and Uncle. Also Clarkson's Farm as an addition to Top Gear/Grand Tour. It's well worth it!

muu041

People like it. Then again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LEK6VYjtQ0

Z is for Zed

What happened to Mid morning matters?

Adam 95

Dads army

Everton FC 🔷◽️🔷

Think Gavin & Stacey will be one QB will enjoy reacting with you to be fair.

Lee

Man I need misfits😭

the_greenlion

The League of Gentlemen is a local show for local people! We’ll have no trouble hereeee!

Lee

Yep, same here. KB has reacted to a couple of shows that I don't particularly enjoy in the past, so I just didn't watch those particular reactions. No harm done! I'm pretty sure he won't be held to ransom by one or two muppets threatening to cancel their subscriptions 😂

ZedMC

Not enough people have seen Darkplace. It was groundbreaking at the time but the world wasn't ready for it, maybe it never will be. It is on Channel 4 streaming in the UK though for anyone who might be curious.

Tom Clancy

Gimme Gimme Gimme with Kathy Burke

bobsonian

It's bizarre. And the people threatening to unsubscribe if KB watches certain shows is just sad! You just don't watch it if you don't like it 🤷🏻‍♀️ is it too much to ask for people just to be respectful? If people mention shows I don't like, I just don't say anything

Beccy

Exactly Beccy. I've experienced this kind of response recently too and I don't understand it. Why do some people get so angry that someone enjoys a movie or TV show that they don't?!

ZedMC

Completely agree aswell as "Keeping Up Appearances " and " The Royle Family " Classic British hilarious comedy.

Will

One Foot In The Grave definitely. Also if you get chance I rececomend "Keeping Up Appearances" and "The Royle Family". Them three are classic hilarious British Comedy imo and I'm sure you will enjoy them while getting a real laugh watching and reacting to them. Also Kevin and perry " Wet My Pants "

Will

Wouldn't surprise me, I know he's seen the office and afterlife etc.

David Williams

Of course, Boomer decides. He did say the poll was more for gauging interest and muppetism. It's also a good gauge of love/hate for Corden. 😅

Jason Scade

Jason Scade

'One Foot in the Grave' is one of the greatest UK sitcoms of all time. It's up there with Fawlty Towers. 36 episodes and 7 specials over a ten year period. KB will *love* Victor Meldrew, he's polite Southern England's answer to D-Fens/Michael Douglas in Falling Down (1993).

Jason Scade

One foot in the Grave for sure, or I won't believe it!

Julian

He's not. Gavin & Stacey isn't James Cordon. He is one character of at least ten and one of two writers. I don't know how much writing James did vs Ruth but there are other parts of the show that aren't James. Not to mention that it's not like he's J.K. Rowling, fame just went to his head (which isn't uncommon) and maybe made him a bit more of a dick than he already was but still, this was early in his career. Not the man he is now. So, let Boomer make his own opinions of the show?

Joe Thornhill

Fair one fella

Chris Silverthorne

"Doesn't mean it's good"...in *your* opinion. That's all it is. Your opinion. Other people have different opinions. No one is objectively correct or incorrect with their view. Entertainment is subjective.

Joshua

Based on what KB has enjoyed before - forget polls and just go for this. (I know Partridge Mid Morning Matters is cued-up) Brasseye Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place This Time (Alan Partridge) This Country Spaced Taskmaster is a long overdue must imo, and should be constant reaction along side other TV shows as they come and go. Just like Josh at After Works reaction does. It has to be a King and Queen Boomer reaction as well- it will take a very long time to get through them all, but it would keep quite a few subscribers once the main list begins to whittle down. For what is left on the poll list, apart from Fleabag, nothing else really appeals to me. It’s all subjective I know.

Bryter

Amen re Corden, brother. The only James Corden I'd watch here is KB reacting to Limmy on YouTube critiquing James Corden. Lots of other excellent stuff on his poll though that I love. And lots I've never seen that I'd like to. Limmy reacts to James Corden covering "Nothing compares 2 U" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE4XEP-j3cg

Jason Scade

Just watch whatever you like. Some will love a show and others will hate it. Just the way of the world lol.

Mike Currie

Rock and Chips, as it is a decent - and very brief at 3 episodes - prequel to Only Fools and Horses. Goodnight Sweetheart - stars Nick Lyndhurst in a *very* different role to Rodney from OFAH. A very original approach to a sitcom too - I love it. One Foot in the Grave - beautifully written and acted, easily my favourite UK sitcom of all time. David Renwick (who also wrote for The Two Ronnies) is a genius.

Ash Jeffries

For all that’s sacred, please, please do not put James Corden on here 🙏🏼 Fast Show for me, but Mid Morning Matters and This Time (both Alan Partridge) are crucial! 😆 Vicar of Dibley also excellent. Thanks KB! PS: ‘The Thick of It’ I’ve not seen yet so also would be good to watch 🍻

Tom

This 👆🏼

Peter O'Hanraha-hanrahan

There will naturally be hundreds to choose from and as others have said some of the shows that weren't necessarily popular 'en masse' will still be worth a watch but not get the votes. I'm still going to wave the flag for The Thin Blue Line. Only 2 series, total of about 12 episodes so a relatively short one too.

Marty D

Delighted to see 'One Foot in the Grave' currently in 3rd place with voting numbers. "I don't believe it!" ♥ Good numbers for Brasseye.

Jason Scade

Really surprised Toast of London isn't higher, think KB would find that funny having liked Matt Berry in IT crowd

Dom

Hahah what would be your top pick out anything for boomer to watch? Don’t have to be on here

Adam Williams

The negativity is a bit boring, but I still think polls are fun. The only way to get popular shows off the list is to watch them. Or why not watch 1 or 2 episodes of multiple shows to get a feel for them. Personally I wish Green Wing had more votes, but it’s probably because people haven’t seen it. I’ve not seen about 16 shows on the list so I didn’t vote for them. But whatever gets watched, I’ll give it a go. When it comes to political satire I’m wondering if it’s worth doing Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister before getting to The Thick of it.

Julian T

I'm pretty sure he's seen it in private... I think he's watched most of Rick's shows.

BigChanChan

Not seen it in years and only ever watched it once, I just remember a lot of 'wagwans & Bruvs' being thrown about, and a lot of bad sales advice haha. It's not exactly an all time great, but it's a funny & underrated show that's absolutely worth a watch

ryung246

James Buckley’s Zapped would have been a good addition.

Albanacher

FYI KB as others have alluded to it... There's few shows such as Gavin & Stacey & Vicar of Dibley that first aired on the free to air BBC years ago to massive audiences, and are so much more likely to get massive number of votes compared to shows like Brassic or Phone shop, which are two excellent shows but aren't as well known to the 'general audience' so are never going to win. Made me happy to see you say that the poll is more to gauge the general interest rather than being the deciding factor. (And for the record, I'm not saying you shouldn't do G&S / V of D, but should do Brassic just because I say so, those were just the best 4 examples for the point I was making haha)

ryung246

Got to watch green wing as its got Jim from Friday night dinner but his character is better 👌🏻

Ryan Middleton

I'm up for whatever you choose. Ignore the whining. They just embarrass themselves if anything.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Gavin and Stacey? It should be illegal to broadcast TV shows with James Corden in them.

Shoomer1988

The spice girls were popular. Dosent mean it's good lol

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

100% agree with you. I should expect it these days, but I still wish people could be respectful.

Beccy

Two of the most popular shows ever. Sure, let’s say half the people on KB’s channel are trolls. It makes perfect sense. Let’s say it’s true. The worst case scenario is you can decide not to watch it.

Julian T

I know you said you couldn’t fit them all on but there’s some great shows that we can’t vote for. Some mothers do ave em for one. Maybe do another poll for shows which didn’t make this list?

William Clark

Very good options on there. Definitely would love phoneshop or misfits to be chosen

BR90s

Unfortunately that seems to be the way of things at the moment. One of the downsides of social media is the drop off of understanding and tolerance of other tastes or viewpoints. Add in the keyboard warrior and you get comment threads that descend into arguing at the drop of a hat.

David Mannion

Not Going Out is legitimately shite

jim78

Eurghh Gavin and Stacey 🤮

jim78

Still would like to see the smoking room get a chance, just watched it again, brilliant

MarkC

Phone shop was brilliant

MarkC

Not surprising to see Phoneshop ranked dead last, the show was criminally underrated when it was on the air and to this day barely anyone has heard of it. Sometimes I feel like me and my friends are the only people who ever watched it, which is great for us because we reference it all the time.

Woz Lee

Porridge is a classic

Duncan Hart

I'm keeping this up because that is hilarious. I saw the red dragon and wrote without even looking.

Fredrick Von Schmacking

Agreed, a few shows where it has a season 1 syndrome, I.e. Blackadder, but stick with it and it gets good.

Graham Goldberg

Skins is absolutely a change of pace that i think he'd love

L M

I agree with all of this

L M

Surprised Brassic's not up there with the highest scores with it been suggested so many times, down to personal choice at the end of the day.

Mackem

I went back and voted for more!! Cheers

amanda ely

That’s why you can vote for a different one babe…

amanda ely

I went back and voted for more! Thanks guys!!!

amanda ely

Mighty boost might be the worst show ever made

Michael Oliver

I understand that and agree, but people don't have to be so rude about it.

Beccy

Literally says Newport County on the flag in my profile pic

Chris Silverthorne

People Just Do Nothing over anything else on the list…I’m another one who doesn’t find Gavin and Stacey funny, but my mum likes it. At least I don’t think I saw Mrs Browns Boys on that list thank god..

Jazz Chilli

you can tick as many as you like it's multiple choice, i've ticked 10!

MJ87

No, believe it or not it's possible to have different opinions 😛

Beccy

Agreed, but I suppose people want to voice that "popular doesn't always mean good"

L M

Corden is absolutely a bellend, but I admit he played the part of Smithy well. I do like G&S personally; it's never hysterically funny but it's endearing

Manly Stump

If you do Gavin and Stacey instead The Fast Show I’m cancelling my subscription

Dan the man

very good writing, but yeah, if you want to get depressed then its a solid watch haha

L M

I wanted to tick a few! Plumped for Mighty Boosh…

amanda ely

Jack Whitehall is as funny as some butter.

Dan the man

It really should be a thing or general rule that people don't shit on other people's choices 😔 it's just polite. There are a lot of shows that I don't like... so I just don't watch them. It's up to KB what he wants to watch at the end of the day and no one should make him, or anyone else feel bad for what they choose to watch. There seems to be a lot of that at the moment.

Beccy

This was so difficult to choose

Jooe

Life's too short would have been great to see, how ever The Thick of it would be lovely.

David Williams

disgusting behaviour from the pollers

L M

He could only fit 25 on there, but I want to see Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie too. Hopefully he will get to it in the future 😁

Beccy

No Little Britain?, That has been suggested ages ago too.

L M

People just do nothing is amazing, but like someone else said, it's niche. It's something that you should just check out 1 or 2 episodes and decide from that. Bad education is good, with Jack Whitehall as lead.

Toby Cutler

OK, but boomer can't you just leave it up, was excited but feel like just got a slap and called a muppet

R Lawrence

people have different tastes, I'd say the opposite hah!

L M

Was hoping to see Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Porridge on the list.

Steven Allen

Here Here!

L M

A few good shows but lots of brain rot comedy in that list lol. Not going out...c'mon

L M

Think he uploaded it prematurely and took it down again

Manly Stump

I can't see how to submit my choices.

South Coast Rich

These are great shows, I'd also add Porridge as an absolute classic.

Duncan Hart

Why can I not access mid morning matters, it's the only show that's ever said page not found?

R Lawrence

Did you work on them or something? Lol

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

Think Green Wing might be a good one for Queen Boomer to watch with you if she was a fan of Jim from Friday Night Dinner............ Season 1 at least. Season 2 quite poor imo.

Oliver

It's your opinion, not shared by everyone 😀

Beccy

League Of Gentleman and Jam are two I'd add to the list. I think you'd enjoy watching any on this list - some I prefer more than others, but I have certain fondness for smart dark humour. Look forward to seeing what you react to.

Duncan Hart

People Just Do Nothing is superb, but quite niche. My Mrs can't stand it, whereas I think it's pure genius! I'm not alone, it won a BAFTA!

Nick Hughes

I agree one foot in the grave is a must watch

UK Zezima

I agree with the guys that recommended Nighty Night, League of Gentlemen and Inside no.9. I'm not sure if it's as popular, but Stath let's Flats has some great episodes as well.

kev turnbull

Thought skins were depressing when it was first on . What started as a funny show about teenagers just starts killing people off out of nowhere

Adam Williams

Of course a Liverpool fan voted for that 🤣

Fredrick Von Schmacking

He loved all things Ricky Gervais before starting the channel.

Joe Thornhill

Probably Gavin and Stacey . Short episodes, not too many to watch, great characters like bryn & nessa . Surprised phone shop got so little. Spaced and mighty boosh might be right up your street to. Avoid stuff like skins just becomes so depressing after a few episodes

Adam Williams

One Foot In The Grave is an absolute classic. David Renwick also wrote a lot of the best sketches for The Two Ronnie's and Not The Nine O'clock News.

Duncan Hart

So much garbage on there, at least 80% overatted fluff. You like Harry Enfield but don't have his series in here. Game on, trigger happy TV, life's too short or even Dennis pennis, Strutter or Dirty Sanchez ( Better than Jackass, fucking excellent) would be good to see in the vote also. Why is goodnight sweetheart on there? I like it but it's very niche to Britain only , Come on pilkington and The moaning of life, unscripted and genuinely funny.

Phoenix

Apologies Becky, just the way it is unfortunately

Hamish Drummond

Gavin and Stacey is defo one to watch with the Queen. But lots of good shows on the menu there.

Mark Wootton

it's also another classic season one finding it's feet, for me from series 3 onwards a very good show

Dave L

Agreed, Green Wing got a vote from me as well. KB, it's got two actors you're well familiar with from other shows you've done: 1. Same actor as plays the weirdo Jim neighbor in FND, playing another nutjob weirdo radiologist. Very funny character, QB would love him I think 2. The same actor as plays your main man Johnson in Peep Show, but kinda of an opposite character style, way toned down. Also, season 1 only. Season 2, I think the writing quality and plots fell apart totally, all the characters start leaving. But S1 is great fun for sure.

Oliver

ONLY 25?! I was expecting 3 or 4 when I opened the email, lol. I also love how Gavin & Stacey has the most so far at 98. Just do what you want, when you want, Boomer and let the pissy ones fuck off

Joe Thornhill

Id love him to do Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister. That was well known to be super close to the truth and very funny

Gareth

Great to see One Foot in the Grave in the mix. It’s the closest we have in tone to OFAH.

Anthony Donegan

Toaste of london

chris monks

Fifthing it

Gareth

KB did one episode on Not going Out on YT and seemed to enjoy it. Plus it has Lee Mack and Time Vine.

Graham Goldberg

I voted for both. I'm not a troll.

Beccy

That's a bit harsh

Beccy

Rock and chips is only 3 episodes so easy to finish!

AWR93

He's seen it I think

Beccy

Not sure if it's ever been mentioned but Coupling would I think be a perfect show for you and Queen Boomer to do together. It often takes situations and looks at them from a dual perspective of the way men and women view the same scenario in different ways. It was often touted as being the British version of friends (three guys three girls meeting up in a bar) when it's much better than that. Just a thought

Gareth

I'll join the people saying that I think you would absolutely love Garth Marenghi's Darkplace- a great, unique idea for a comedy show and supremely silly.

Graeme Meek

So good. I think Boomer will love the history too.

Martyn Dawson

Only things I would say about skins, and I'm not saying you shouldn't watch it because of this, is that at least 2 of the actors I can remember have came out and said it wasn't a safe / enjoyable experience, and considering they were all 14-18 years old when it was made make of that what you will. I loved it when it first aired but found it a difficult and quite depressing rewatch as an adult, and then I heard about the young actors experiences making it

ryung246

I think not going out is a best fit for your humour….and of course it is Lee mack

Jay D

Royal Family is a must watch too.

Martyn Dawson

Not local, huh.

Jason Scade

No UK Office? :(

DM Punk

You've picked a variety of shows from several different eras, and most of the choices are critically acclaimed or cult classics, so if anyone complains I don't know what to tell you... There's a handful you've listed that I can't stand, a handful I love, and a few others I'm on the fence about, which is exactly how it should be when it comes to TV, music and movies etc..

ryung246

Gavin and Stacy got to be the shittest show in uk + James Jordan’s a fat pussy, proper helmet… mighty boosh is the wackiest show on earth right up your street, probably gain a followers as it’s got a massive cult following with a very dedicated fan base. Cheers for listening

Hamish Drummond

Yuck!!

K Bruun Kristensen

I never jelled with Gavin and Stacey too yet so many seem to like it. James Cordant brings me out in a rash

bdazzer85

Vicar of dibly, gavin and Stacy. Two of the worst shows to ever be made. It has to be trolls voting that shite. Darkplace feels like it was handmade for him.

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

Inside no.9 should be on the list! 😊 Its genius 👍👌😁

K Bruun Kristensen

Absolutely fourth on that

Lee McCusker

Everyone spam league of gentlemen! 😉

Tim Phillipson

I decided to vote for my top 10. In no particular order - One Foot In The Grave, Brass Eye, Toast of London, Spaced, Green Wing, Cuckoo, Phoneshop, Darkplace, Moaning of Life, Thick Of It I'm not a huge fan of Gavin & Stacey. Personally I think it's pretty mediocre, but I accept I'm probably in the minority. I'd have added Jam to the list - but that's just me.

Duncan Hart

I know you couldn't fit more on the list, so hopefully there will be a second one at a later date! Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie, League of Gentlemen and Nighty Night are ones to throw in for me 😁

Beccy

Royal family, clarksons farm, derek, would be better choices in my opinion. Gavin and Stacey is ridiculously over rated. Vicar of dibley is decent when it gets going. On this list for me, I’d say moaning of life and white gold (you will love this)

Chris

Can you get rid of shameless (as its way too long and not that funny) and replace it with The league of gentlemen..... please KB 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

Tim Phillipson

That's a step too far for him I think

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

PJDN is hilarious

James Hyde

green wing is the best for you and QB

Oliver Dollard

Please not Gavin and Stacy

Robert Carter

Love Goodnight Sweetheart!

Beccy

💯 people who don't vote for this show usually have never seen it. I used to be one of them people too

bdazzer85

Think Cuckoo is very much up your street

Elliot Langhorn

White gold ✨️

Craig Day

Darkplace is a classic, very short too, Matt Berry AND Richard Ayoade! Spaced also excellent If U like the Cornetto trilogy, that's an excellent series.

Dan Smith

wheres the league of gentlemen ???

tricky D77

I hope Gavin & Stacey wins. Of all the American reactors I think KB will get it better

Chris Silverthorne

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is absolutely your sort of thing. Very gory, but utterly goofy and off the wall

I-Love-My-Brick

I agree. It's KB down to a T. Shame it's not so popular. I'm hoping that's more people who don't know it than don't like it!

Manly Stump

If you are into taking a step from Fresh Meat with it's proportion of comedy/drama leaning more toward comedy with young adults, to a show with almost young adults (ie teenagers 😄) with genuine heartfelt, often relatable drama as it's core with a lot of laughs as a bonus, Skins is a classic that I really recommend! Personally I would stick to seasons 1-3 though (and possibly adding season 7) as the characters change after season 3 (and to an extent return in season 7).

Micke

I would 3rd that

Aaron Close

I think you'd love Bad Education. Rock and Chips is a short three episodes, and expands on the OFAH universe, so I think it would be something good to watch that wouldn't take long. Vicar of Dibley has its critics. It has a very slow start (like Blackadder), but it does pick up in the later episodes. The Thick of It is well liked, but a bit different to other shows you've seen. Fast Show is good, but very dated. Skins is basically The Inbetweeners if Jay's imagination was correct.

Joshua

How the hell is Gavin & Stacey already in the lead?!

I-Love-My-Brick

I can assure u KB that Dark Place may end up being in yr top 5 of all time when u watch it. Bet Duncan would agree too? 😄

bdazzer85

I second that!!

Adam Dowman

Bad Education is very much your type of humour, that gets my vote

Jamyjet

People Just Do Nothing AAALLLL the way!

Dannythedoodle

Not going our a d Vicar of Dibley are just bang average, I wouldn't bother

Mark Jephson

The Thick of It.

Wilx

Not going out, shameless, Mr Bean and skins all get my vote as they are all great

ConnorPlaysHD

Please win Goodnight Sweetheart 🙏

Martyn Dawson

id include the royle family

connor

No Men Behaving Badly = No Vote

Chris Blackman

The Thick of it is incredible. An accurate depiction of the madness that I imagine goes on in British politics.

James Liosi

Far better shows that aren’t on the list!
