Considering you also don’t understand how the criminal justice system works I wouldn’t be commenting on it. You don’t necessarily get remanded in prison before trial, most offenders don’t. If you’re charged quickly and have indicated you’ll plea guilty then a first court hearing can happen within weeks depending on the complexity of the investigation. You’ll then normally be remanded until sentencing at a later hearing. They weren’t released because Tina said he was emotionally distressed either. She obviously told them Max was trying to see his child so the Judge saw it as a mitigating factor and therefore didn’t require a custodial sentence.

I'm actually finding this show funnier now than I did watching it first time around maybe because I'm not comparing it to Phoenix Nights anymore.

If you really wanted to you can pick flaws in pn series 1 as well, as an example when they order stuff from the shopping channel and have it the same night. I understand what you're saying about things being illogical but if you're really going to go down that rabbit hole then there's very limited films and TV for you watch tbqh, god knows what you think of the likes of james bond or action movies, Disney films or superhero movies (they are really realistic 😂) in fact going back to original comment about comedy shows how realistic is any of them really, I guarantee you can take pretty much any comedy and pick flaws in an episode. You keep doing you and nitpicking every thing you see and the rest of us will happily let it slide and enjoy things in the moment, not let it bother us and then get on with our day

Cliff was basically the British version of Elvis, he was that big back in the day. Loved by grandmas everywhere. I got dragged to a few of his concerts when I was a kid, my mum was a big fan.

You're allowed to enjoy it more than Pheonix Nights lol. I think Max and Paddy don't expect you to go into it knowing about working mens clubs and Peter Key etc so you can just setback and enjoy it more if you're not familiar with certain things. It's a lot more accessible i THINK.

Cliff Richard don't wish harm on him but I really fuckin hate him and everything he stands for. His music gives me diarrhea. His face and voice makes me sick, same goes for Daniel O'donnell

Watched this several times and still noticed new things. Potter with the website having 4 w's instead of 3 and the line about max not being happy about the community service which it's a shame they didn't expand on in future episodes

Yeah, I would've thought that Brian would be pissed off enough to not show up at all, after they left him with no real notice or goodbye. He needed two new bouncers out of nowhere and now his former employees are in prison for attempted kidnaping. The bad press just keeps piling up for Potter.

KB, the whacky cell-mate guy in the Tennis gear thinks he's a UK Singer/Pop-Star called Cliff Richard, don't think you would have heard of him there in the US. He's been around since the late 1950's. He had a big hit in the early 80's 'Wired For Sound' which is what you hear when Max, Paddy and 'Cliff' are in the exercise yard here's the video off You Tube https://youtu.be/K0lV9h7b9B0?si=ymCfk9LLKjL-VI1q

Or, declare the prisons full and send everyone home.

Conjugal visits are not permitted in uk prisons. If the prisoners have been on good behaviour for there full sentence and it is a long stretched sentence then towards the end they may be allowed home visits. The prisoner is then returned back to jail

Paddy’s brother is in this in the shower scene as one of Raymond the Bastards henchmen and he had to rub and soap up Raymond. He’s asked for a part but didn’t know what he’d be doing until he turned up for filming. Paddy said it was hilarious and he didn’t speak to him for weeks after this 😂😂

I can't watch this until I finish work in a few hours, but I'm pretty sure this is the episode I've been waiting for since I first suggested Phoenix nights / Max and Paddy probably a year ago! The delivery of "SPONGE CAKE, MY FAVOURITE" will never not make me have a laughing fit haha

The comedy in this is for the masses. The comedy in PN was mainly regional comedy and jokes. If your not from the North West England, a lot of the jokes, sarcasm and references will go right over one’s head.
