2024-07-21 21:50:15 +0000 UTCThere's an alternative ending to 'Only the Good...' that was a DVD extra. You should be able to find it on YouTube. The 10-year hiatus was due to the proposed Red Dwarf movie that never got made due to production issues and lack of funding. So, Doug Naylor decided to make Back to Earth instead. I recommend watching it as one long special rather than the 3 individual parts. The 10-year wait for more Red Dwarf when series 8 ended in 1999 felt like a hell of a long time.
