Blackadder S2 Ep4 "Money" REACTION!

Blackadder needs to shag to keep a hot poker out of his bum!

Blackadder S2 Ep4 "Money" REACTION!

It's such a depraved act that at the moment Percy sat up in bed, the video froze, and Patreon demanded I prove I was human.

Rabid Assassin

Fantastic idea

Jack Nicholas

Fourth wife.

Grady Parsons

If you love little interesting facts you should definitely look into watching the TV show QI. It stands for 'quite interesting.' It has a whole range of comedians on it. Well worth checking out.

Sally Waites

So many awesome lines in this episode. “We have the preliminary sketches” is an underrated favourite

Eleanor Elliott

Philip Pope was so memorable in this episode with such a tiny role!

Eleanor Elliott

That is superb!

Eleanor Elliott

Before you begin Blackadder the third, maybe you should watch The madness of King George for some context.

Neal Murdoch

The portrait painter was the same actor as the singer Tony Angelino in Only Fools and Horses...'cwying' :-)

MrPhil_K

It is an amazing outfit! But I imagine if you wore it in Florida, you would get shot by people in Red Hats....

Danny Heywood

I think Anne of Cleves must have been the 4th wife of Henry VIII, going by the rhyme "Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived." The children's history program Horrible Histories did this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTdTDCRKvvM. I also enjoy their Charles I Slim Shady rip-off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZhOjMMIaA4 and the 4 Georgian kings as a boy band: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0fW8iT94eg

Suzy

I hope you're enjoying these episodes King Booms?

Gavin Doidge

Between this, Sleepy Hollow and Chicken Run, Miranda has been somewhat typecast as someone responsible for heads getting chopped off...

Z is for Zed

And it shows KB - your knowledge would put a lot of Brits to shame, I'm sure! You got Anne of Cleves spot on, and that she was the fourth! Do a voxpop on the streets of your average British town and ask who Anne of Cleves was, they'd probably look at you blankly - or try to wing it and say she was Joan of Arc's sister or something else preposterous.

The other day I was talking to a couple in their 30s who hadn’t heard of Anne Boleyn . One of them was a teacher. Not a criticism of them just an observation . When I was a kid my dad had recorded these off of live tv and he cut out the good hard shag reference so we couldn’t see it always wondered what had happened I only saw it when I was an adult and bought the full series on vhs 🤣

Erica

Funny that you said the full title of 'Q.I'. in the intro. It's probably rarely requested but you might as well get around to it. A bunch of facts and correction told by Stephen Fry, with comedians to use jokes as answers (which are so rarely correct you're frankly a genius if you get + points) and a letter for each series.

Joe Thornhill

Finally! I know you can't have schedule, but amongst all the shows you can get done in half an hour, I've been waiting for this and Red Dwarf. I still understand that 'The story of Only Fools' is on the same, rare slot of TG/GT/even Fresh Meat reactions, though.

Joe Thornhill

2 of my favourite blackadder quotes in 1 episode. 'my life is strewn with cowpats fun the devil's own satanic herd' and ' Oh, Edmund, can it be true, that I hold here in my mortal hand a nugget of purest green?' Amazing

Geoffrey Searby

Great reaction - I think Blackadder is one of those series that gets better episode by episode. The next series 2 series are also another step up from this. Series 4 is one of my all time favourite things ever. As a history buff I'm sure you'll appreciate it. On that note - props to you for your historical knowledge - very impressive!

The decision to make the money-lending, baby-eating clergyman the Bishop of Bath & Wells is probably (yet another) Python homage, as the Python gang were definitely fond of dropping references to that particular churchman. But Blackadder can take full credit for turning it into a running joke within the Church of England ever since, as Peter Price - the Bishop of Bath & Wells from 2002-2013 - found out when he entered the House of Lords in 2008 with his five-week-old granddaughter in tow, at which the Bishop of Southwark shouted out "I see the Right Reverend has brought a packed lunch!"

Ian Richards

"Dear" also means expensive, just in case you don't say that in America, ofcourse you might've just not thought it was funny.

R Lawrence

And the comedy series Porridge.

Mouse

😂👍

Jason Scade

The portrait painter character is played by Phillip Pope. He's a comedy actor and a musician. He was part of the comedy group who did the popular 80s late night UK comedy show 'Who Dares Wins'. It also starred Tony Robinson (Baldrick).

Jason Scade

Ronald Lacey. 👍He is in Eastwood's 'Firefox' movie also.

Jason Scade

If you got concerned about Blackadder’s safety in this one, all of series 4 is going to turn you into a nervous wreck.

Neal Murdoch

I try, it was always my favorite subject in school.

Brian Moran

Looking forward to S3 & S4 👍

Duncan

KB, I have to say, hugely impressed on many ocassions by your knowledge of history. I doff my cap. Thank you for entertaining us.

Anthony Mark Taylor

About 100 Adder bites are reported in the UK each year and the last person to die from one was in 1972... A total of 14 people in the UK have died from an Adder bite in the last 145 years... So they're extremely rare compared to bee and wasps stings for example, with at least 10 to 15 dying each year from bee and wasp stings!

BigChanChan

The chap who played the portrait painter is the singer who couldn’t pronounce his r’s in fools and horses. Also the bishop is the actor who has has the face melted off in raiders of the lost ark

John Snashall

The bishop in this is also the Gestapo agent with the black hat and glasses in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Mouse

Great episode, next one shades it for me but this series definitely improved after every episode
