Black Books S3 Ep1 "Manny Come Home" REACTION!

This may be Simon Pegg's best character.

Tamsin was also in Shaun of the Dead, albeit briefly. In fact, there are a lot of actors in both: Simon Pegg Nick Frost Dylan Moran Tamsin Greig Peter Serafinowicz, Jessica Hynes, Mark Donovan, Martin Freeman, Rob Brydon and David Walliams.

Thom Brown

Lol I'm glad it's not just in my imagination!

Richard Stokes

I work in a school and I was thinking the exact same!

Miss_dash

Just paused the video to go watch the Waffle House plating system. WTF is that all about lol. I'd find it easier to just remember the actual order rather than remembering what each object is supposed to mean.

Lawson Briggs

Bill Bailey had short hair in Hot Fuzz, although a wig no doubt.

It always surprises me when people google things about shows and actors. The IMDb app is a really easy go-to for that type of information.

Julian T

It was definitely King Boomer but he does talk more. Regardless of use: KB: ~49 QB: ~22

Joe Thornhill

15:58 Norman Bates, much? I can't un-see it.

Joe Thornhill

Yeah, I thought that when we first saw it, months ago.

Joe Thornhill

Excellent ep and reaction. ♥ You'd both *really* love Simon Pegg's 'Spaced'. Only 2 series and 12 eps in total. Fab, fast-paced sitcom. Stuffed with movie and pop culture references.

Jason Scade

Is that the 'Alan meets The Milky Bar Kid' one? That is a really outstanding sketch.

Jason Scade

Blimey KB, your touch typing was quite impressive at the end there! Have you ever considered a career in professional typing (where you'd probably have to deal with a very dull office environment, with a supervisor like Simon Pegg, and for a fairly average wage). Am I not selling it to you?

AdamMcAdamface

Have you seen the sketch Alan Partridge and Simon Pegg did together as part of a live show? It's brilliant, I'll put a link up on your YouTube rec's

Mark Jones

Bill Bailey has recently shaved his head

Rob webber

yea Simon Pegg is a comedy genius, definitely check out Spaced, only 2 series too

Duncan

I liked Simon Pegg as Scotty in the recent star trek films.

James MacDonald

It's my favourite episode. Simon Pegg is brilliant.

Jamie

That waffle house training video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jky5ZXI0axc)... I'm speechless.

Greg H. G.

I think if anyone of the Americans might get it, it might be kb and qb but I see what your saying

Richard Stokes

One of my favourite episodes for sure, next one is my personal favourite though. Elephants and Hens. <3

Ola Hammarström

@Chris H Good point. I hope to be proved wrong! :)

Jay

That's exactly what people said about Phoenix Nights as well.

Chris H

I watched 3 minutes of the Waffle House, and just told them to get a computer screen.

Danny Heywood

Bill Bailey has shaved his head https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13575863/Bill-Bailey-59-stuns-fans-cutting-trademark-skullet-shaving-head-comedian-admits-hes-bit-trim-summer.html

spaced should be defiantly on be on your to react list to do together next

tricky D77

Also one of my favourite Black Books episodes, Simon Pegg is great!

AdamMcAdamface

Yeah that Waffle House training video is fucking weird. I'd never seen it before!

AdamMcAdamface

the irony of this episode is that bill bailey has just shaved his head IRL.

bdazzer85

I love Spaced (It's definitely in my top 10 all time comedies), but I feel it doesn't translate very well to US audiences. It's so specific to British cultural references and Gen X experiences, that so much is lost in translation. I would love to be proved wrong but I've seen another American reactor watch it, and so much went over his head.

Jay

You should give Spaced a go to see Simon Pegg and Bill Bailey is in it as a minor character too

Richard Stokes

Agree kb I love Simon Pegg in this. My parents were teachers and had a lot of very passive aggressive teacher friends who had a manner like this! This character definitely exists out there!

Richard Stokes

that kitchen cabinet looks identical to the one in only fools and horses

Bubbles

My favourite episode, followed by the episode where they drink the really expensive wine and then the security door one with Nick Frost. Simon Pegg just elevates everything he’s in, he’s just brilliant.

James Ellison

Brilliant episode. Love season 3

Stewart Hainey

Coincidentally, Bill Bailey did actually finally cut his hair the other day for the first time in his career.

Steve Read

As a child I remember my mother picking up and putting in her mouth what she thought was a sweet. She didn't take it well when it unrolled and was some kind of woodlouse. Suppose it could have been worse, but it discouraged me from eating random things you find on the floor so there's that.

Z is for Zed

We need to like have a like counter. How many times did KB and QB say the word like and who won?
