Black Books S2 Ep6 "A Nice Change" REACTION!

We pledged to stop pausing so much and I feel like we failed miserably this time lol.

Black Books S2 Ep6 "A Nice Change" REACTION!

If you ever come to the UK, stop by Brighton. Besides having well over 300 pubs, it has a mix of every kind of person, lots of musicians and artists, loads of street art, weird and wonderful shops, and more besides. It hosts the Brighton Fringe, just like the Edinburgh Fringe, with thousands of performers, storytellers, comedians, and other weird stuff.

Thom Brown

Old video, but I'm glad to hear you guys are behind vaccines. The world's gone crazy these days. Too many people shunning medical science for junk science.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

When you spoke about the channel that was like a TV guide channel, and would have the school closures, I assume you are talking about Teletext or something similar? I remember looking up football results, the weather, and all sorts on Teletext back in the day. This would have been in the early to mid 2000s. I'm only 29. Anyway I'm very disappointed you've both had vaccines. How dare you want to avoid getting potentially deadly illnesses through a quick and simple preventative procedure, that will have been studied profusely by multiple health organisations, private and state, thereby being almost certainly completely safe. RANT TIME. I think being dubious of the coronavirus vaccines was completely fair, given their rapid development and brief testing period, and the subsequent side effects we've seen from some of the brands. That said, if you think there's trackers or whatever in them or something intentionally nefarious, then fuck you, you're a loon. The same goes for people who say corona wasn't real, it was just a cold/flu. My grandad died from it, having been pretty healthy beforehand. I know people with long covid too, and one person who got POTS post-Covid, and has gone from being fit and active to constantly fatigued and practically house bound. Covid deniers are, like most conspiracy theorists, deranged, paranoid people who have such mundane lives they cling onto this idea of being someone who "knows the truth" so they can feel special and better than the "sheeple". It's pitiful.

London to Australia will take you about 20hours with at least one change.

Neal Murdoch

Heathrow to NYC last year... 8 Hours. Orlando many years ago changing in Charlotte, About 12 Hours total. My Mum lived in NZ before she past away. Very beautiful country, especially the south island. I travelled a couple of years ago and it was a 30 hour flight, with a 6 hour layover in San Francisco.

Darren Seymour

I've flown London to LA before, 12 hours there and 9 back (something to do with the wind).

Alex West

Iโ€™ve done UK/US flights involving New York, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta. Pretty sure they all ranged between 8 and 10 hours. 5 hours time difference KB. Anyone that watches American sport has that imprinted on their brain. West coast 8 hours, east coast 5 hours. Direct flights to the east coast are great, the time difference is not too bad. When you go to the west coast you need 2 days just to wake up.

Julian T

If you ever come to the UK again. Venture out from London. And bring a rain coat.

Westley Johnstone

At the risk of being called nerd of the year, I think the device they used was a Psion Series 5 from back in 1997. It could connect to the internet by talking to a phone wirelessly by infra-red and would run for 35 hours on a pair of AA batteries (that's 35 hours of active use, so a week or two of heavy use in reality). Here's a review : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIG3tfh5FfY

princess Boomer sick of being on the side, she wants some limelight....๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’œ

Adam Hale

Yeah, it's kind of annoying when Queen Boomer says something without pausing. Probably because it didn't really matter, but still, I wanna know what she said and I can't lipread, lol.

Joe Thornhill

I forgot what that intro was from, for a second. I thought you were actually starting this reaction off like that.

Joe Thornhill

'Win a cuppa with The Boomers' just has to be a future competition! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lee Gridley

I'm literally in the middle of booking a flight right now for August from London Gatwick to Miami and it's saying 9hrs 30 mins for a direct flight.

Ho8566

Actually in Inbetweeners if you remember Tara was reading the NME when Simon first spoke to her in the common room, it was basically the UK's Rolling Stone magazine.

Mark Jones

Yeah I'm 54 and when I was a kid the whole family read the newspaper, and everything was in there, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, deaths etc. and magazines, I read several magazines about football and music, there were two magazines called NME and Melody Maker in the UK and if you didn't read both you might as well not bother going to school as you'd be an outcast, they were my bible and you'd literally read the whole thing, to be fair though they were really worth reading too as the music scene back then was insane anyway!

Mark Jones

I've been to Florida three times and it's about 9 hours. Definitely not 6.

Stop apologising for pausing, you legendary muppets. Pause as much as you want. We are here to hear your...reaction. This is a reaction channel! Your commentary and thoughts are what we are here for and we love it. In fact I ENCOURAGE you to pause so that you don't miss parts of the show. Other channels miss some of the show by NOT pausing. Anyone that says otherwise should just go and watch the show on their own. Why are they here if they don't want to hear your reaction? Your reaction is the whole point of the channel!

Josh Jameson

Mannnnnyyyyyyyyyyyuuuhhhh!

Stewart Hainey

I THINK that was a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) which was basically a Stupidphone made in the 90's

Danny Heywood

She's using a PDA. Like a smart phone before smartphones.

Matthew Mosley

''If you click your fingers at me again, I'll cut one of them off'' This is the reason I got paid wages instead of working for Tips in the UK...

Danny Heywood

Oh I like the reaction to the show. Thats why I'm here... Its the little discussions that occur as a result that can go on a while. Stories that creep in, chat over the show sometimes. I like that in small measure but nearly half of this reaction was discussion which led off from pausing something in the show and had nothing to do with the show. the reactions before have been fine (sometimes a little too often) but the amount of stopping in this one and the time stopped was too much for me. Even King Boomer admitted that.

Ged Fazakerley

The next episode is one of my favourites

James Ellison

Wouldn't just watching the show and not a reaction be better then?

Steven Iceton

I agree about vaccines. I think it's standard for Brits to have the vaccine for malaria if we travel anywhere tropical. But we don't really get mosquitos in the UK.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

We had to do what QB talked about, and listen on the phone for movie times. I completely forgot about that until she talked about it. We also used to read the paper to find out the listings too.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

If you're going to the UK, why not just visit mainland Europe as a second destination? It's on the UK's doorstep, and very easy to get around each country with a euro train pass. If you go from UK to Australia, you're having to fly around 30 hours to get there.

Jay

What kind of treasonous shirt is that to be wearing the day before the 248th anniversary of the United States? For shame, sir! :P

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

What a lovely pearl necklace... you give her that KB...?

Craig McCulloch

I went to Australia from London when I was 14, it was 15 hours flight to Singapore then another 5 hour connecting flight to Perth Australia. Only plane based holiday I've ever taken, it was a slog for sure. But if you guys ever come to the UK I recommend my city, Plymouth. Coastal city, not huge but not small so has a nice mix of city and sort of country life, plus big historical significance not just in terms of America's founding but WW2, and then you can go down to Cornwall for the classic English countryside experience.

Jon Burkitt

ive seen them the second video where he almost got lost because he drank to much made me laugh

Bubbles

KB, not sure if you've been watching Spencer's vlogs on his recent trip to the UK, but it looks like it might provide some good recommendations. He's going to some places off the typical tourist routes, and so far getting quite drunk along the way (I think he appreciates a British pub!).

AdamMcAdamface

Newspapers were very important as kids in the UK, usually because they had tits on page 3 everyday

bobsonian

Whatโ€™s this, naked reactions by Queen Boomer now๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿคฃ

GeeBee

Who's 'we' I hate the pausing as sometimes the jokes get missed.

Ged Fazakerley

Pause as much as you like, we need to hear your muppetry.
