You don't get Indian food in England either. You get the British version of Indian food, just like in the US where you get the American version of 'Chinese' food. Vindaloo was originally a Portuguese dish they introduced to their colony on Goa, an island off the West coast of India. The people of Goa spiced it up with curry. The British encountered the recipe when they ruled India and took it home with them. The Indians also modified the Cornish Pasty by adding curry and removing the types of meat that were forbidden in the culture, beef for Hindus and pork for Muslims. The curried version is very popular in England. Food recipes move around the world as fast as any virus.

Mr Jackpots

I wouldn’t recommend starting with a vindaloo when you have your first curry.

I couldn't really remember him doing bloopers, yet, I think he's said something about them being funnier, sometimes. That's partly why I suggested it. Though, reading your comment reminded me that he HAS watched the Inbetweeners bloopers (even before finishing series 3, despite the risk of spoilers) so I think it's just that people don't send much of them to him and he won't bother looking for them much. I'm thinking, because there are almost licensed bloopers for each series, they should be the easiest to find in decent quality, in full, in the right order and because there are so many series', he could watch one at a time. Or as many as possible in a day after the show. God this was long, sorry.

Theres a lot of Red Dwarf to get through and KB has never really done any outtake compilations before when reviewing shows so not sure why this would be expected... Everything ok Joe..?

Craig McCulloch

Yeah, he was in Black Book a few weeks ago too, right? And Boomer didn't notice this time. It was the voice for me.

11:50 "I've been chewing the same piece of chicken for 5 minutes" Chris Barrie. You really should check out the Smeg Ups for each series, Boomer. don't know why you haven't

Joe Thornhill

@23:11 Wait! I didn't know Alex Jones was in this episode? Lol!

Our Indian food is like your Mexican food. There are Indian food restaurants in the states, but apparently they're not that good. Similarly, there's Mexican food in the UK, but I'm told it's not that good either. I wouldn't know as I'm not keen on spicy food either way, so I skip curry. But my mum enjoys both. She keeps trying to get me to try a Mexican dish, but I just don't care for spicy stuff.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Mexican is their go to for spice, but agreed that nothing beats a good curry!

I know it doesn't compare to authentic Indian restaurants...but do they not even sell curry sauce in supermarkets over there? Fry off some chicken with onions, stir in some tikka masala cooking sauce, serve up with pilau rice, bosh. Piece of piss!

David Lyons

We don't like cur-ry no no.....we love it... yeah yeah

emu cat

Yeah, I have must have about 8 Indians per month from either a home-made one, a takeaway delivery or going out to an Indian restaurant.

BigChanChan

I've genuinely been eating a vindaloo while watching this 😅 definitely recommend Indian food if you can find it man.

SB Chris

I love this episode for the specific reason that it shows Lister and Rimmer as mates, and that's quite rare.

ALW

It's mad you never had curry. I had it like 2 times in the last week haha. Its big in the UK.
