It is classic example of a Season 1 is very weak compared to the rest of it, I personally don't think there is any issue with starting later with shows, there are plenty of examples. The US Office was a excellent show, from Season 2, doing it's own thing, Blackadder Series 1 was not for me, Still Game improves a lot from Series 2 onwards, even other American shows, Impractical Jokers was also very rough around the edges in the early seasons, but once more polished and accomplished it was a lot better, another British classic is Dad's Army the first few seasons are in black and white and also very rough around the edges and from Series 4 onwards was a lot better, even Only Fools & Horses I would say from series 3 onwards is another example!

He was playing Gary glitter who was a pop singer who got convicted for child porn on his computer and underage sex offences, he was really close to Jimmy saville, its why the audience cheered when he fell off the stage

I never watched Max & Paddy road to nowhere so will be good to see it on the channel for first time with you KB - keep up good work 🙌
