If somebody wealthy made assumptions about people because of their lower income we'd all tell them to get lost but its ok to do the reverse? To be honest from everything I've seen of him in interviews etc. he seems desperate for approval from people, and completely insecure. He says openly that being 'dumped' in boarding school is part of it.

It ran from 2017-2019 (as I know you wanted to react to a newer show) and it's has Jay and Simon from the Inbetweeners in it . More importantly it's funny and has that outrageous humour that I think you are missing here.

I've never seen this show before and i'm sort of in agreement that it's clearly not a laugh a minute (Or few laughs) but I hope that once i've got to know the characters I'll react better.

It's actually kinda a big joke in the UK you know? - That all BMW owners park like twats, think they own the road, they don't use their indicators/signals when changing lanes...etc. Personally I've always thought the dashboards/speed dials in BMW's look like that of a toy car, even the high end ones, so they don't appeal to me at all ( fair enough - i8 is an exception). But over here given our relationship to Germany and their car manufacturing industry, for the same money you can get the market competitive equivalent of any BMW car in either a Mercedes or an Audi, so like - why wouldn't you? It's sort of a quiet joke and an understood thing here that BMW owners are all dicks lol. Adhoc I actually once worked with two dudes, both bellends, fighting over a girl who I also worked with, and they both bought BMW's to try and upstage eachother, one after the other. Was funny to watch. Small minded superficial moves ya know hahaha. But that's the kinda mindset of BMW owners and it's how most of the UK sees your average BMW owner too loool

It’s not comparable to something like Friday Night Dinner where every episode is based around the situation getting crazier as the episode goes on. This is a slow burn with very few ‘laugh out loud’ moments but it really is a different type of comedy to your typical sitcoms. Still think it’s a great show though and the characters should grow on you. I know it didn’t win the poll but on reflection, if you’re after something with more laughs and crazy shenanigans, Brassic is probably the one

I feel like he meant posh twat, too. In your opinion there might be hundreds of shows that should be watched before this, but other people have differing opinions to you and are pleased to see KB watching this. It's a reaction channel for everyone, not just what you think should be watched.

Students just vote for what's familiar and think pop or film references in a show make them comedies!... I reckon most people who enjoyed this, enjoyed it when it came out, and watching it as a 30 odd year old might be quite hard.

Big vans setting up illegal raves in quarries. Grow rooms. Pretty much everything on tap. Absolutely fucking mental, mate! I used to work in office call-centres, selling gig tickets at ticket master, where you could smoke at your desk. Working at 'Loot free ads' and getting fired because I was having a couple of beers on my break and wouldn't sell a fucking £3 advert to a little old lady who was selling her dead budgies cage for a tenner! but then I got to work as a flyerer for new students, to get them into bars and clubs so I could get wasted while working 😁 Then I worked in bars, doing ALL sorts of crazy shit! Back when Manchester was good 😮💨

The writers seemed to have wrote it a bit more like a drama where things are slowly revealed/hinted then explained the more you watch it with longer subplots over the season and seasons.

It's a shame, because there's some good talent there but perhaps it's really aimed at a specific audience that I'm not, and never will be a part of. I think I'm too old for it. Unlike The Inbetweeners, which somehow encapsulated that experience of that time of life so well it translated across generations. That was lightning in a bottle though. This seems to be a fart in a thimble. Well, I tried.

2024-04-24 20:04:14 +0000 UTCI've only ever watched the first episode before and this episode was pretty poor, I hope it picks up, the guy playing the drummer and the girl with the car (she's trying to pretend that she isn't wealthy) are in another sitcom about gaming called 'Dead Pixels' which was actually quite good, not amazing, but decent and I enjoyed it, as you're a gamer there's a good chance you'll like it too. Charlotte Ritchie has been in a few good shows now, Ghosts has been a big hit and is good and she was in a really funny show called 'Siblings'.

Will keep watching though as I'm sure it improves. Just think this episode was a misfire. It did however, remind of why I always hated house parties when I was at uni. I never found them enjoyable, just a waste of time. I don't think most people drink to enjoy them, they just drink to get thru them.
