The IT Crowd S5 Special "The Internet Is Coming" REACTION!

I am definitely going to miss this show.

The IT Crowd S5 Special "The Internet Is Coming" REACTION!

Comments

yeah he was in "hot water" for just stating facts and truths , such a shame people cant have the intelligence to go and actually research what he talks about... poor bloke , just wants good for humanity and gets some worthless people making up stuff and just ignoring facts then riding the low iq train picking everyone up along the way. pc cupcake mofos! Itcrowd is legendary , loved the reactions! peace.

TheHigh

it was great but we needed more seasons it sucks they only do small amounts of episodes and seasons...bring it back

Kris Foster

They censor the f word as a joke as it makes it funnier, it's not because they have to

Jasmine Carpenter

For some prime Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade you should try Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Neal Murdoch

If you miss the original renholm, you need to do brasseye. He’s hysterical in that

Jordan Crawley

You got lucky there :)

irreverend

Nobody seems to have done a reaction to ‘Count Arthur Strong’ online, probably because it’s one of those shows that only a few people have seen because the BBC didn’t promote it. But it’s also co-written by Graham Linehan and has a lot of his goofy comedy in it. May be worth considering, if you want to do a show that nobody else has reacted to. (You did react to part of an episode about a year ago).

Gary Tamblyn

Darkplace is like IT Crowd on LSD in a cardboard hospital

Tom Clancy

I watched 5 minutes of it about 15 years ago and gave up because I just didn't get it (I'd gone in completely blind, didn't know the premise or anything). Went back to it two years ago and absolutely loved it. So so underrated.

Relyx

I’m really glad you enjoyed this, it’s one of favourite shows and a true British classic

Joe Nicholls

No, that actor is Ben Moor, Water Man is Tom Basden.

Mema Random

Coupling, Spaced or Gavin and Stacey also good for a couples reaction... but Black Books is the best show.

Mema Random

Black Books! Black Books!

Mema Random

Outnumbered would be a great show for you and Queen boomer to react to

Jammy Dodger

KB loves weird 1970s style edits so he'd love that show!

BigChanChan

Mentioning Darkplace again, because you'll love it. People who've seen it know I'm right.

jon d

the nerd with the glasses on in moss's gaming information was water man from plebs

Amanda

and water boy from plebs he was the nerd in glasses.

Amanda

If it is "Derek" I shall personally purchase a flight over to Florida and challenge him to a Penguin-off. And I will win. (Who am I kidding, KB will beat my ass. And then squawk at me very loudly). It won't be "Derek".

Phil Robinson

Black books would be perfect replacement

MarkC

You're right, someone told me he was years ago before the internet and it kinda stuck in my head.

Gary Mcatear

I love it but each to their own... I think you're safe though, he's Ricky Gervais obsessed, mentioned watching most of his shows and I'd be very surprised if he hasn't already seen it.

BigChanChan

I seem to remember him saying that he's already seen that.

Michael Banfield

KB has already chosen his next series and I've got an awful feeling that it's 'Derek'.

Fordy7169

Still Game is a bit too colloquial and short of actual comedy IMO. Sort of an 'in-joke' that the rest of the world doesn't getso I can understand why some people don't enjoy it.

Fordy7169

Paul Kaye aka Dennis Pennis is not Peter Kay's brother.

Fordy7169

Did you recognise the guy in the blonde wig? Super haans And the homeless lady was Shakira from man down

Rob webber

Underrated comment! ;-)

Phil Robinson

😂😂 me too!

Matt Wells

@Jason Scade - Crying laughing here thinking about the possibility of Matt Berry as Treguard in "Knightmare"! - "WARNING, TEEEAM!". It's just perfect! Toast of London is indeed great - hope you enjoy!

Phil Robinson

got to agree, Jay Inbetweeners voice "I'd slide my dipstick in right deep"

LyingSecret

Yeah I heard the same, Rather they end on a high than just carry on with bad ideas.

Ricky Gallo

I hated it too... When I've seen it on other reaction channels it's like Marmite in that it's 50/50 on who likes or hates it but those that love it tend to let everyone know that lol.

BigChanChan

Speaking of educational systems, it's 'hanged'. Pictures are hung, people are hanged. ;-)

Steve King

I get ye, there are lots of shows that i just won't watch too...i have a recommendation for you...if you like Ali G then you will love Dennis Pennis the master troller...he was trolling hollywood A-listers when Ali g was still trying to figure out what to do with his life...he was so good at trolling Hollywood A listers that they complained to the FBI and Dennis now has his own FBI file lol...by the way Dennis Pennis is a character he created, he is actually Peter Kays brother. Dennis stalks and trolls all the top hollywood celebs of the time...even Pierse Brosnan becomes one of his victims.

Gary Mcatear

Little clip from the first ep of Black Books (like everything it improves as the eps go on). https://youtu.be/ILysMhm8lXs Context - Bernard Black runs a bookshop and its time for his tax returns.

Iain Chase

I remembering reading once the creator saying he didnt want to risk it becoming unentertaining

Tim Salt (Tim Salt Writes)

A funny final episode we are annoynomous 😆

Tim Salt (Tim Salt Writes)

And that's all the I.T. Crowd. The lost pilot for a U.S. version is one of the few times a lost pilot remained lost for a reason. 😔

David Cleveland

Echoing others here - Black Books for British Comedy (Bill Bailey is brilliant - him and Sean Loch were best friends and similar humour style, also the "nobody tells me nuthin'" twins from Hot Fuzz), and if you wanted to continue the IT theme, then Silicon Valley was absolutely a barrel of laughs.

Clegg

Just noticed that the homeless woman with the coffee/tea was the rude one you loved from the cafe in Man Down :D

LyingSecret

Amusingly and perhaps unbelievably, the guy in the white suit who made the 'tits car' is Super Hanz from Peep Show.

LyingSecret

Yes, please! Hardly anyone reacts to Black Books and it's one of my absolute favourites, I think they'd love it's equally wacky and bizarre humour.

Andrew

He does get a lot of credit for Black Books, but only 6 of the 18 episodes were actually co-written by Graham Linehan. A bit hit and miss, like Count Arthur Strong, which he also co-wrote. But both have a few brilliant episodes.

Gary Tamblyn

So is yer patter.

Gary Mcatear

Just saying 😂👍

Matt Wells

DW mate it's shit 👌🏻

Jonny Dade

Steady now

Jonny Dade

Gutted it ended but so glad you guys enjoyed it as much as you did 😁 one of the best shows ever made 👏

Ricky Gallo

(I'm only 1 minute in) I hate to break your US education system, but nobody ever shouted ''THE BRITISH ARE COMING!'' That would be suicide as most people were British or pro-British. They had to tell the rebels secretly, or they would have been Hung/Shot as traitors.

Daniel Heywood

Yes! Such a good show and queen boomer would love it

Adam T

Hi queen, you look really cute with your glasses on ☺️

Matt Wells

The profanity buzzer in the stress episode they let a "fuck" slip though too

irreverend

Black books next :) hopefully

Ian Staines

Yes!!!

Andy Farmer

Mighty Boosh next?... 😂😂😂

Steve Oxley

Silicon Valley - the jerking 2 guys off formula, bloody brilliant US series by Mike Judge. It's so good, it should be British.

emu cat

I tried reacting to the first 3 episodes, it wasn't for me sorry.

Brian Moran

And yes, that was your favourite Man Down cafe owner as the homeless lady.

Paul Murgatroyd

It's a pity you can't get into the Scottish accent because you're missing out with Still Game. I think if you had to react to it one of your top 5 you listed would slip down to number 6.

Gary Mcatear

Please have a look at Black Books (sitcom). It’s co-written by Graham Linehan and has the same kind of wacky comedy.

Iain Chase

its gonna be What We do In the Shadows, init! with Douglas Reynholm and Phone jacker =P

Industrialist2015ofUk

i bet the next show is Garthe Merengi's Darkplace

Industrialist2015ofUk

what r u talking about lol, it was prety epic! and you missed Super Hans there.... guys, don't ya think Jen sounded like Tim Allen when she grunts xD wonder if that was intentional.

Industrialist2015ofUk

Spot on

Jordan Dale

Also is played by Matt King, AKA Superhans!

theOraclelives

You should watch Garth Marenghi's Dark Place. It has Douglas Reynholm in it (Matt Berry) and Moss (Richard Ayoade), and is really quirky and ridiculous. I think you'd really love it.

Michael Leighton's Karl Pilkington Animations

You might have a small knob KB but it's big enough to fill a pram!

Si Cr

Yeah she was horrible in that. But it gave Karl pilkington his finest moment in the show.

Morgan

It's a perfectly fine episode, but I think it suffers a bit with the length and pacing. It feels a bit all over at the place at times. Still, 7/10 👌🏻 Edit: Probably would've worked better in the usual 25 minute format 🤷🏻

Jonny Dade

Exactly bro, you get it!

Raul

The short barista that got hit by the tit truck is my mates brother. Gareth Morinan. He was in a Ricky Gervais show as well.

Steve Read

they would love fresh meat - following simon (inbetweeners) to uni is how I imagine it

L M

You missed Shakira the cafe owner from Man Down and Super Hans from Peep Show! Great reaction, thanks Boom! I agree that it was stronger in the first half and didn't fully pay off in the second half, but still a fun ride.

Ash X

Can’t believe it’s over 😞

Lee Organ

You can see the house from Father Ted in the Channel 4 news segment 👌🏻 (41:23)

Jonny Dade

No, "Where Roy?" was Heather off of Eastenders 😄 But the tramp is from Man Down, an episode of Derek and all sorts of bits

Stuart Still

Oh and also the penultimate episode of Curb had Matt Berry so it's coincidences all round 😌

Stuart Still

Wasn't the tramp also the "Where Roy?" woman from level 7 with the blown up monitor?

Joe Thornhill

That really made me laugh at the coincidence because I was watching the final episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm last night (or should that be this morning!) which briefly featured a call back to Larry David's "pants tent" from the very first episode 😄

Stuart Still

Yes! Finally I got one that KB didn't. Can you actually see my profile pic, though? I tried copy/pasting my Facebook one but even after refreshing, It's just white on my end.

Joe Thornhill

Yes, and also really hated her in the episode of Derek as the daughter who was just waiting for her mum to die in order to get hold of her jewellery...

Stuart Still

Yes it's Shakira. KB needs to watch This Country she is so good as Mandy.

Morgan

Yes. This needs to happen. You just know both KB & QB would love it. Plus my home town 👍

Pee-Wee Stairmaster

That homeless woman is the woman that works in the cafe that keeps saying Bob from Man Down.

Mouse

Or certainly did, but is no longer with us now

Stuart Still

6:44 Am I the only one who lost it when he paused here and didn't mention the autism joke? 😂

D A N

Thought it was him under that wig and shades :D

Mouse

🤞 hope so

Ethan Holgate

Agreed there a disgrace my kettle makes better coffee than they do

Ethan Holgate

Derry Girls please! Father Ted meets the Inbetweeners!

Tim Mountford

I think you guys would love black books Graham Linehan worked on it for the 1st season such a funny show

Ethan Holgate

Yes, Super Hans from Peep Show. :) That wig he had on, hahaha!

Jason Scade

That Raymond Peterfellow is based on a business man called Peter Stringfellow who owns various strip clubs in London.

Squanchy

The presenter for that bit of Channel 4 news coverage was Jon Snow (not the Game of Thrones character!). He was the main news anchor on Channel 4 for over 30 years so would have covered the fall of the Soviet Union, the Iraq wars, 9/11, etc etc. It was such a mad moment to have him pop up on a sitcom talking about "Coffee tramp toss bitch".

Adam

Excellent sign off episode for the series! 🤣 ♥ Great reaction, KB & QB, love the specs. 25:05 Is the homeless woman in this the same actress who plays the very grumpy, angry café owner in Man Down?

Jason Scade

Please do Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's road to nowhere. Both are similar in humour to Inbetweeners and Peep Show

Squanchy

Fuck it, I'm half way through. Wasn't that pimp at the beginning Super Hanz?

Joe Thornhill

Will you recognise Super Hans?

Billy Rockets

Did Paul Revere not shout something like "The Regulars are coming?" I read that somewhere, as the colonists at the time would have considered themselves to be British, so "The British are coming" would have made little sense to them.

Martin Nercessian

It was strange how the homeless woman sounded like a penguin...

Sam

nothing wrong about a small boner lol haha :)

Kasper Bruun

You have to watch more of matt berry (renholm). toast of london is great.

chris monks

King Boomer's chair creaking at 18:06 is comedy genius.

WizardsMonstersPiratesDemons

you two missing the artistic/autistic joke, only to hear the constant ringing of the phone is so king boomer lol :) great reaction as always :)

Kasper Bruun

Always strongly agree with suggestions for Toast of London, Black Books and Garth Merenghis Darkplace. I really think you'd also like The Day Today with an early Alan Partridge and the original boss from IT Crowd. Most would suggest the follow up 'Brass Eye', but I think its best to ease gently into Christopher Morris produced comedy, as it get very dark later down the line (especially 'Jam'). Suggestions aside, thanks for these brilliant I.T. Crowd reactions King and Queen Boomer. Looking forward to the next comedy.

Jay

@Jason Scade Toast of London is brilliant, although you might find the pilot episode a bit patchy.

Jay

I can't wait to watch the reaction when I get home from work. I've been rewatching all of the previous ones.

R van Kuik

This special was made 3 years later than the end of last season and has that slightly awkward school reunion feel about it, where they don't quite gel like they used to do but it's still far better than most comedy shows out there, especially newer one's made since!

BigChanChan

Starbucks isn't coffee.

James MacDonald

its been an absolute treat rewatching this with you both, "Nice Glasses" to queen boomer and "Stupid Hair" to king boomer

Ketzalborne

Super Hans at 12:00

Lee

Who's the nerd girl doing Gangnam Style?

Billy Rockets

Ohhhh, that gesture King has done a few times is riding a horse! I always thought it was churning butter, reminded me of Weird Al.

Z is for Zed

Early again for the final reaction, woo!, always good having an hour+ reaction just after finishing work

Jacob

I'm going to check this show out now, I've seen it recommended in umpteen King B's Patreon comment sections. Matt Berry is such a gifted actor and comedy actor! He has a presence that reminds me of Oliver Reed. On a more jocular note, I think Berry would be perfect (as the dungeon master) in a reboot of the old kids adventure show 'Knightmare'.

Jason Scade

Good suggestion, it's short and there are definitely moments that will cause King Boomer to lose his shit.

Z is for Zed

Toast of London is a great showcase for Matt Berry and it has a similarly wacky sense of humour.

Henry Graham

Remember if you want Moss and Douglas give Garth Merenghis Darkplace a go next!

Richard Stokes

Please now do Black Books... It honestly only makes sense after Father Ted and The IT Crowd

Stuart Still

On Disney+ and Netflix

Raul

Check Out Extraordinary and Fresh Meat next please Boomer.
