Weekly Update - November 8 - We Have Entered The Canadark!

Heylo people!!

It is I! The Squish!

I hope you had as good a week as I did, because my week was pretty rad!

I'm trucking along with writing the next chapter of Play Things. I hit a bit of a snag, which cost me some time, but I'm back on track - no big rewrites, just a few scenes I needed to go through to make sure I was hitting the right tone.

Tone in smut is always important, but in Play Things, it's really important because the events that are happening to our daring protagonists are very alarming! The only thing that saves the story from being Extremely Dark is that I am intentionally keeping the tone of the whole thing pretty silly and light-hearted most of the time.

I've mentioned that I do a lot of rewrites. A lot of those rewrites are specifically for tone - and it's usually making things friendlier and more comfy, and making sure that Candy is really into everything that's going on.

I've been a little nervous about what I should do after this chapter, because that means we're onto endings and... I dunno how I'm going to structure those exactly.

I think I'll probably do another Special and start the endings properly in January.

Remember to drink water and take all your pills!

PS: Oh! Right! Also, I'm trying to get a website where you can play the game online up and running sometime soon! So you should look forward to that!

PPS: If you're wondering what 'The Canadark' is, it's from an old TV show, and it describes the time of year where you get up and go to work and it's dark, and then you come home and it's dark - and also you're Canadian! Anyway, it's dark out a lot these days, is what I'm saying!
