You’ll notice so many details on rewatching Alan Partridge, whether it’s in Coogan’s performance with the faces he makes or some of the dialogue you didn’t find funny the first time just seems funnier. So many quotes too, me and my friends can say a random line and we’ll know it’s from Partridge. It’s one of my most rewatched shows, the entire Partridge back catalog is in fact. The second series of this is amazing, it has some of the best Alan moments, especially in episode 1 (the whole school sequence).

As someone else said, it might be worthwhile to go back to Knowing Me, Knowing You to see why there's a doubt about him getting a second series. But then definitely get onto season 2 and This Time (season one and two).

We shan't hold our breath on the British accent KB. Don't think it exists tbh lol. There's that many different dialects. Even we don't get it right, I'm a Yorkshire lad and a Cockney mistook me for a Scouser.

That was revealed by Armando years after the programme ended. I remember that fact too haha, I think someone asked him in an interview, and up to that point he wouldn't say what it was.
