Looks like Alan needs to CONE it in...

One of the best jokes ever: "Have you ever thought suicide might be the answer?" "Well sometimes, aye." "Really? When?" "When I've seen you looking all depressed and that."

Wes

Steve Coogan was born in my home town. One of my all time favourite comedians.

Aaron King

I've never slammed on the brakes to check to see if the seatbelt stops you, but only because I worked out as a child that its not the act of pressing the brake pedal that jams it but just trying to pull on it too quickly (so yes I have thrown myself forward quickly to do the test though) LOL

Steve King

Lots of people are recommending phoenix nights but I don't think you will find it that funny. It's a bit cringy/funny like Alan Partridge. Max and Paddy is probably a better option.

Miss_dash

'Morning Susan....ah haaaaaaarrrrrrrrr

James West

I remember watching this in bed at about 2am after I got home from the pub and I woke my parents up by laughing so loud at the Oh Fuck Off.

Neal Murdoch

I still have "a crescent of crisps" with a sandwich even now.

Alex West

Yeh it has to be Blackadder. Comedy royalty. Rowan Atkinson is great but I think Hugh Laurie is a genius. For anyone who has only seen him in House or The Night Manager it must be bewildering to watch his comedy personas.

Julian T

i live in norfolk and i will agree with you.

Chay Davenport

Did you ever watch 'Dirty Sanchez'? It's the Welsh version of Jackass and is pretty funny, but I mentioned the other day that I would love to see you add a comedy panel show one day too, that would be completely different, you and the Queen would love Taskmaster hosted by Greg Davies.

Mark Jones

Not sure how you purchased them but maybe for money reasons they decided to have a Currys and Dixons under one roof. They are all part of the same group so could be done. I've heard they used to sell Domestic and Entertainment stuff, but in general Dixons were for entertainment electronics and Currys were domestic electronics. I only remember from the early 2000s so maybe it was diferent before then. When I went to work for Dixons I had to study about The Dixons Group. Not too sure what to think of what you said at the beginning though. Comparing my post to Alan Partridge is well below the belt lol :D

Mouse

Quite a Partridge-esque post there. But must point out that my mom bought a hi-fi and a TV from Currys in the mid-nineties. There was no Dixon's in our town.

Stu T

It might have, but this is the first time I've read it and now they make sense lol so thank you.

Brian Moran

Alan Partridge is such a mirror to what a lot of British blokes are like maybe all to varying degrees

Tuts Tut

Love a bit of Partridge - season 2 and then 'mid morning matters' and 'this time' get even better. Although the episode isn't the best, it's worth it for the final scene (conetract!). If you're looking for new things, Phoenix Nights 1+2 and then Max And Paddy's road to nowhere are great (as someone else mentioned)

Woodsey

Don't know why he was asking for speakers when he called Currys because they deal with domestic appliance electronics it was Dixons that dealt with the entertainments side of the company. Currys was part of the Dixons Group. It's all different now since they went defunct in 2014 but when this episode aired I was working for Dixons. I remember Wild Boys, I'm a huge Jackass fan :D

Mouse

If you react to The League of Gentlemen, you'll find it is VERY different from what you've been reacting to. ;)

Dean Carter

Yeah this one is a bit of a slow one, Next one is a banger though. Also you said if Alan existed in real life you would want him studied, well there's a presenter called Richard Madeley. You should react to a complication for Youtube. Some would say that Alan is loosely based on him.

Matt

All the episode titles are movie titles with Alan added in. :) Apologies if that's been said already.

Dean Carter

Phoenix Nights followed by Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere

Mr Robot

When youre not British I think finding humour in desolation and the pointlessness of much of daily life comes a little harder. You do a great job mind you. The next episode is the absolute zenith of Partridge imo. Looking forward to it. Thanks KB. Take care.

Karl Rocks

Season 1 still has its moments.

Owen Rhodes

Hope your new reaction is going to be Blackadder!!! (2, 3 then 4)

Duncan

Jackass, Wildboys & CKY was big over here.

Pee-Wee Stairmaster

In the next episode look out for the 2 Irish TV execs, the dark-haired one is Graham Linehan and the blonde one is Arthur Matthews, the Father Ted writers/cameo actors.

Fordy7169

Yeah, agree with the consensus, gets much better. Enjoying these over again in a fresh light with yourself, probably already watched them half a dozen times over the years but it’s a new lease of live with your reactions, thank you. 🙏

😅👍👍

This was the poorest of the series, the next two are the BEST, hang on in there.

Dans_t16s

Hey booms I think a great vidwould be a compilation of you and queen boomer totally loosing it in reactions, when you dive kn the foor/bed laughing etc 😊

Rob webber

There is a real version called Richard Madley. Search Richard Madeley partidgisms.

TomPalmer

I love this episode, but I know it's not a popular one. It's Alan at his most vulnerable at this stage - and the show needed to delve into this aspect of his character. You need to be at least sympathetic towards Alan, even though he's... well... Alan. This episode solidifies that.

Phil Robinson

I've always personally quite liked this episode because it's so mundane and just shows Alan and his empty life, but I can appreciate it can be a slow watch lol

squarewindow

For season 1, this is probably the worst episode for me (still a solid 7 out of 10 though) the next 2 episodes though completely blow it out the park and are probably my favourite of season 1👌🏻

Jonny Dade

The next episode "To Kill a Mocking Alan" is my favourite of Series 1.

John Dawber

Camp means gay and mince is a slang for a gay walk lol

Rob webber

The scene where he's trying to relax but his OCD takes over, that's just like me... Damn, I must be as nutty as Alan lol... I also dismantle stuff and can't put them together again like him ffs.

BigChanChan

I’m so glad you’re loving this series 😂😂 PLEASE try one foot in the grave 😊😊 YA MUPPET!😂
