In that cow scene, Steve Coogan talks about how scary and difficult it was to stay in character and on script, whilst knowing that at any second he was going to get a giant prosthetic cow dropped on his head! You'll have to add "The Day Today" to your list (and follow-ups 'Brass eye') which not only feature "Denholm" as the main host of a spoof news programme but also "Alan Partridge" as their Sports Presenter. The Day Today was actually Alan Partridge's debut as a TV character, pre-dating even "Knowing Me, Knowing You" by a few years.

Thought you might of missed Flavia as she only in a few scenes and Chris Morris (RENHOME DENHOME as you use to say) as he was younger plus didn't have a mustache. Yeah there was a magazine of Top Gear, pretty sure it is still going (never been a fan of neither tbh)

2024-02-15 20:26:28 +0000 UTCMy favourite ever IAP episode! Hysterical from beginning to end. Yes, the three you saw were Simon Pegg, Doon Mackichan, and Chris Morris! With Simon Pegg was one of the co-writers, Peter Baynham. Steve Coogan is the second writer and Armando Iannucci of The Thick of It and Veep fame is the third - with that team penning the script, no wonder it's good! "Yeah, well, I've got a hundred and FOUR friends" is one of my favourite Alan retorts! 😃 KMKY is a decent show but I've always preferred the set up of I'm Alan Partridge and its superb supporting cast. 🙏
