Peep Show S9 Ep6 "Are We Going To Be Alright?" REACTION!

A WILD ending to one of the best shows ever!

Peep Show S9 Ep6 "Are We Going To Be Alright?" REACTION!

Comments

Anticlimactic, but what can you do with two guys who live together, its comforting know that they are still in that flat together for these past 10 years

mav

Robbert Weeb was 45 when they filmed the last ep and looked it

mav

Loved that Jeff says "fucked by a flagpole" in the last episode a tribute to the theme tune which is called Flagpole Sitta. 👌

Daniel Monney

Spaced!!!

Chris

So many of Roman's lines are straight out of Peep Show. And obviously there's Stefan Strauss

Chris

Just to say that this show is endlessly rewatchable and that's why it's a favourite for so many people. There's too many brilliant lines throughout the whole thing to ever be able to remember. Thanks for these reactions!

Tom Lewis

The most surprising thing is that the creator and writer of peep show also created Succession

BR90s

I think you should start ''I am Alan Partridge''

Daniel Heywood

KB has watched it already (not reacted to it, but years ago presumably). Probably what started the UK comedy fixation. If KB ever sees David Brent in future, he must remember to thank him...

Julian Clifton

seconded

L M

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone pick the UK Office with Ricky Gervais. The main character David Brent has influenced so many comedians in the younger generation, especially on YouTube. It's more a mockumentary than a comedy but it's as British as it gets with the subtle facial expressions/body language and passive aggressiveness. Hope you check it out!

DM Punk

WADYATALKINABEET glad someone else appreciates Big Lez!

DM Punk

You f*ckin druggo

Peter Andrews

Not going out. So hilarious and the jokes in it are so funny lots of seasons aswell and when people react to shows they often overlook Not going out so definitely worth a watch

ConnorPlaysHD

White gold. Hilarious, and nice and short, so won't take long to get through.

Andy Waller

I know you said you have a long list of suggested shows already and Darkplace has been mentioned a lot which should definitely be next but I've not seen the Mighty Boosh mentioned much which I think you would enjoy and also The Big Lez Show which is an animated show created by two Australians on youtube which would be interesting to react to.

TheCasual

I’m Alan Partridge, Black Books, Spaced,

Duncan

Avoid anything with Jack Whitehall in. Alan Partridge is superb. Black Books is great, and The League of Gentlemen.

Dean Carter

Has to be Im alan partridge or Bottom

Joe

Just some classics off the top of my head: I'm Alan Partridge, Black Books, Spaced, Toast of London, Yes Minister, The Thick of It, The Young Ones, The Royle Family.

Neal Murdoch

Early Doors please!! Only 12 episodes to!! :)

Chris Kay

I agree with black books.

Slipstream

I agree Brad. He ain't done People Just Do Nothing yet!

Dannythedoodle

I think you'd enjoy Bad Education, as well as Fresh Meat, Derry girls as well is a recent highlight of British comedy.

Mangled Manatee

Yeah brilliant show.. British mockumentaries are always good

Jordan Lewis French

Spaced and black books is a must see 👍 how do we even vote ?

Jordan Lewis French

Do bad education !

Jack Beasley

Your absolutely entitled to your opinion but I have to disagree, most episodes are hilarious.. The most recent season wasn't quite as strong as the first 4, but as I say, it's easily the best UK comedy of the past 5 or so years and is infinitely better than Benidorm, which isn't a good comparison

ryung246

Thanks KB - great stuff - please react to this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M1H4BpdRZSQ&t=69s&pp=ygUVUGVlcCBzaG93IGxpZmUgYWR2aWNl As a farewell to pepepepepe-Peep show! 😄

Max Sloan

It has Matt berry (Douglas Denham) and Richard ayoade (Maurice moss)

EnglishBlacksmith

Even Adrian Edmondson says that the Young Ones has aged badly and that other shows from that era have aged better and I agree with him.

BigChanChan

The only problem with Brassic is that there's a lot of episodes that are more sitcom/soap opera than comedy, which KB has mentioned he's not a fan of... I personally think he'd get bored of it like Benidorm... Yes it has its funnier episodes and some funny moments in general but there's also a lot of episodes that aren't funny at all.

BigChanChan

Been here the whole way though thanks for experiencing this journey with us it's been great

Fscoolj

Fair enough on The Young Ones. Wasn't aware KB had watched it. Ultimately we're only offering suggestions. It's up to KB what he watches. I'm sure it will be good whatever it is

Yaapsdad

Agree with Porridge, it's aged surprisingly well for a 70's show, mostly due to the actors performances in it.

Steven Allen

Hardy bucks is extremely underrated, I think KB would love it

Niall Molloy

King B mentioned that he's watched one or two episodes of The Young Ones and didn't enjoy it, which is fair. That show has dated terribly, something that even Adrian Edmondson has admitted over the years. I definitely agree with what Mark Jones is suggesting though, as older British comedy can be somewhat dry in its execution compared to modern stuff. That doesn't mean it isn't funny, it's just not always as accessible as modern comedy.

Jay

Interesting how KB has enjoyed Benidorm though, which shows that individual comedy snobbery doesn't always relate to other's tastes.

Jay

Please consider I'm Alan Partridge! Or Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie with Kathy Burke!

Beccy

What a run! So sad Peep Show is over.

Beccy

Ghosts UK!

Sam

Funny is funny. Porridge and many other sitcoms are not obviously from any one era. They don't generally comment on events from the day. OFaH does and so does The Young Ones, but most don't.

Yaapsdad

Please watch bad education

Logan

Wow and peep show is all over. What a ride my favourite show u have reacted to

Everton FC 🔷◽️🔷

I agree. Im alan partridge and men behaving badly for me would be the ones next up I would love to see

Laurie Coupar

Gavin and Stacey or Bad Education

Adam

Would love to see 'Brassic' next... It's 'The inbetweeners' meets the movie 'Snatch' and is easily the best UK comedy of the last 5+ years.. It's also one of the rare shows set up north instead of London, and has Grumio from Plebs! S1 Trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtbEWBIPOEk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZgPbVpb-aQ (Wouldn't be against Phoenix Nights / Max & Paddy, White Gold, Misfits, Fresh meat or Cuckoo either)

ryung246

I’m sure it’s been suggested already but I’d highly recommend ‘I’m Alan Partridge’ - I know you’ve done a couple of Partridge things before but for me IAP is the epicentre of the whole thing and you kinda need to watch it in its entirety to get it. There’s only 12 episodes too so not a major commitment 😂

Elliot Langhorn

There’s loads of deleted scenes and dvd extras available on YouTube, well worth a watch 👍 Jeremy’s ‘video will’ from when he thinks he has cancer is ace.

Elliot Langhorn

How's the selection for 2 new shows gonna work KB? Poll or whatever you fancy?

Julian Gore

Loved watching the reactions for this, sad it’s over :( if you can find a way to watch the thick of it I would recommend, it’s so wild

Ben

should defo give This country a go, its a british sitcom/mockumentary, the humour is so cleverly done you'd love it

RiggieBoggerJohnson

Loved your reactions to Peep Show 🔥 Hope you carry on with ‘an idiot abroad’ with the Mrs again 👌

Conor Brereton

Garth Marenghi's Dark Place is a good shout too, also another show which is only 6 short episodes is 'Nathan Barley', Chris Morris was one of the writers and Richmond and Moss from IT Crowd are in it, it's about being an internet content provider in the early days of the net, it's absolutely hilarious!

Mark Jones

I would love to see you watch one of Chris Morris's early shows next as you loved him so much as Denholm in the IT Crowd, 'Brass Eye' or 'The Day Today'. It's always a little sad watching the last episode of a great series, but Peep Show is great for rewatching, you appreciate it on another level in future rewatches.

Mark Jones

sad to see peep show finish. i think you'd like the thick of it. very good show.

TC Elba

I think reactions should be generation specific, so only one oldie at a time, Porridge is my favourite show of all time but I think it should replace Only Fools, not a more modern show like Peep Show.

Mark Jones

Gavin and Stacey has to be the new show. Queen Boomer will also really enjoy it

Richiep

End of an era...

Martin Nercessian

Oh thanks for letting me know. I used to subscribe to Josh for a while but stopped when he was watching shows I didn't really care about. Glad to hear he's doing FM. Someone was gonna get there eventually haha.

Kit Taylor

GARTH MARENGHIS DARKPLACE WITH THE QUEEN!!!

EnglishBlacksmith

YESSSS!!!

EnglishBlacksmith

A great way to end the series, leaving them 9 seasons later with nothing to show.

Owen Rhodes

i think his lines and mannerisms are great, but contained and limited within peep show. my opinion. don't wanna milk it to nothing🤷‍♂️

Industrialist2015ofUk

White Gold 👍

Industrialist2015ofUk

And the sequel, Peep Show 2: Peep in Manhattan

Mark Fraser

I think at only 6 episodes this is a great one to fit in before moving onto another long term series.

Mark Fraser

Next shows: Siblings, White gold, Black books.

Ola Hammarström

a sweet detail here is that all the shots in peep show are from a characters perspective, and here, the very final shot of the show is from the point of the view of the television. so it's like you're a character in the show, looking at both mark and jez! PS - Said before but, would love to see Skins as the next reaction!

James West

He'll need to make sure to get the Queen in for that one. They'd both have a great time with Darkplace.

Seltro1

Knowing me knowing you. That's a good shout to do next

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

That's it no more peep show its really going to be difficult to find another show that can match the inbetweeners and peep show.... Not many other comedy's go as far these would

DuGonG

🤣🤣🤣

Pee-Wee Stairmaster

great shout, plus Phoenix Nights. I’m not going to lie. an inbetweeners re run would be nice.

Pee-Wee Stairmaster

'I'm Alan Partridge' is probably the nearest show to Peep Show in terms of cringe type humour.

BigChanChan

Wonder if you seen Alan Johnson’s business handshake in Wonka

Adam Williams

Seconded. Robert Webb is in it occasionally too

Rach

It's gotta be Darkplace next. It's ridiculous show

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

I think you should keep one show slot always for 6 episode (one series) shows because there’s so many of them that are brilliant

Ewan Dunn

'Back' is excellent, especially the first season.

BigChanChan

They really should have done a spin-off show with Alan Johnson 😎

BigChanChan

I don’t think he’s even scratched the surface. It doesn’t have to be a comedy, would love for him to react to some more serious shows. ‘This is England’ being top of my list. He enjoyed the film, I’m sure he’d love the series.

Brad

One foot in the grave is a great UK comedy you should watch

Mike F

When are you going to react to the Peep Show movie?

James

All 4 series of "That mitchell and webb look " are on YouTube, you'll love it 👌👍

Rob webber

Possible new sitcom reactions: Porridge. Derry Girls. The Young Ones. Black Adder. Phoenix Nights. Dad's Army. All classic series. But whatever you chose will be great I'm sure.

Yaapsdad

If you are interested in other David Mitchell and Robert Webb projects, KB, then two-series effort Back might be worth considering. It's funny and sharp, with well-developed eccentric characters (as you would expect from them)- and is based on a cracking premise.

AlexAlterBridge

After Work Reactions has just got halfway through series 3 of Fresh Meat on his Patreon. I have to say it's one i never bothered trying, always assumed Fresh Meat would be something i wouldn't like but i thought i'd give it a go when he started his reactions and so glad i did!

Mhàiri87

I would recommend Fresh Meat. It's written by the same guys as Peep Show and it has a lot of both PS and Inbetweeners vibes. It's often very overlooked by reactors so you would be (as far as I'm aware) the first reaction channel to cover the series.

Kit Taylor

Peep Show was the series that got me into your reactions. Thanks so much, and I'm so glad you love it. It's legitimately one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, as far as I'm concerned, and definitely worth repeat viewings. New series-wise, I'm sure you've been recommended Black Books, but that's definitely a King AND Queen Boomer show as it's a Father Ted/IT Crowd adjacent series. I'm Alan Partridge, Brass Eye, The Mighty Boosh, and Garth Meringes Darkplace are all other suggestions. And thanks for the fantastic reactions, I'm sticking round despite Peep Show being over!

SJB

This

Doug Farrington

Derry girls ffs LOL

DJM

Thank you for all the Peep Show. You totally get it. Honestly, honestly it’s better the 2nd and 3rd time watching. You tap into another level and pick up on more of the subtle stuff.

Doug Farrington

watch hardy bucks and derry girls both Irish comedies

Tribesmen

If you ever rewatch it, I find the first few series seem much better after getting to know the characters so well.

Joe

I truly think Darkplace is your best bet next! It's only 6episodes, has familiar faces, is a spoof on 80s sci Fi shows and I'm pretty sure is your kinda humor. thank me later. Rip. Peep Show

Industrialist2015ofUk

"peepity peep"

Thomas Stirrup

God no come on man you're probably the same who recomended Benidorm, it'll be mrs browns boys next, behave yourself mate

Joe

I feel like he's going to start running out of shows to react to soon. There are plenty of good ones of course, but I don't think they're to his tastes. But obviously that's for him to decide.

Tom

Gavin and Stacy next

ColdStarr

I see so many comments saying you will love this show or that show. I thing more are people just wanting to see their own favourites more than anything. If KB/QB dont like the shows then the reactions are no fun to watch. I can think of programs I hate that you would love and vice versa. Now there has been a few shows end why not run a few pilot episodes of different shows maybe pick a couple to react to from those and then run a vote on the rest for what to start next.

Dan

Boom, straight in. Like an electric nan.

Dannythedoodle

It’s over!!
