It is about hope and the loss of hope. Magnificent. It isn't a comedy. It's a tragedy. The speech from Withnail at the end is from Hamlet. Another character lost It says at the beginning, in text on the screen Camden Town., London. 1969. Withnail is played by Richard E Grant who was Oscar nominated in 2019 as best Supporting Actor for Can you ever forgive me? The drug dealer, Danny, was played by Ralph Brown, who was also the DJ Smooth Bob Silver (The Dawn Treader) in The Boat hat Rocked - which I see you have reviewed, the lost dad of Young Carl

2024-02-10 03:01:32 +0000 UTCAfter slumming it for a few months had to upgrade when I noticed you'd reacted to this, I was one of the ones recommending it over and over, such a great movie, I just love the three main actors who all nailed it but as you say, but Ben Kingsley and the intimidation of his character, Jesus, I remember watching it in the cinema and feeling genuinely uneasy, reminded me of Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet, stunning performance, I'm just glad you liked it too, and have some other great reactions to watch now too like Withnail and I and Harry Brown, can't wait, good job on the collections too, makes finding stuff so much easier! One last thing, before Ian McShane hit the big time in the states he was in a show in the UK called Lovejoy, playing a loveable rogue of an antique dealer, it was a favourite show of mine for years, he's such a great actor, but glad you enjoyed Sexy Beast, I think it's a masterpiece, would love to see you react to The Business too.

2024-02-10 02:57:09 +0000 UTCI don't know if you picked up on this, but Gal spent 9 years in jail because the last job with no risk went wrong. He could have told on the others but he kept quiet for 9 years and then quit crime when he came out. That's another reason why Teddy doesn't kill him.
