Only Fools and Horses Special "The Frog's Legacy" REACTION!

Treasure hunting?

Only Fools and Horses Special "The Frog's Legacy" REACTION!

Comments

Tea with no milk definitely. And to hear an American say that really is a beautiful thing ❤️

Paul Cole

If you watch Rock And Chips (OFAH the early years, with Jay from The Inbetweeners playing Del), Nicholas Lyndhusrt plays Freddy The Frog and this episode comes flooding back. Definitely worth a watch.

Paul Cole

https://homework.study.com/explanation/what-is-the-difference-between-a-reverend-and-a-vicar.html#:~:text=Both%20reverend%20and%20vicar%20are,a%20specific%20parish%20or%20order. Here’s a bit of homework if you still need it all this time later… 😅

Paul Cole

Vicar, Priest, Reverend, all the same sort of shit really. Authority figure within the science-allergic cult commonly known as Christianity 🤷🏻‍♂️

Paul Cole

Just watching this now because on my way home from work I had to wait to drive down the riverfront High St of my little village because there was a Pallbearer leading a hearse and made me want to see your reaction to this episode. Specifically re: Rodney a🤣 So my thoughts on the guy you had to ban are that he sounds autistic (or at the very least, on the spectrum) if he’s spamming that much. That being said, you have no way of knowing either way and I get why that would wind you up and I’d have banned them too. Love this episode, one of the best 👌🏻

Paul Cole

Normally don’t mind the pausing over missing jokes but if you pause every time Albert bobs his head we’re going to be here a while 😂

Kieran B

Under Henry vicars still couldn’t marry, that didn’t change until Edward VI who was a genuine Protestant

Kieran B

Not just solicitors but also barristers, there’s no distinction in the US but there is here

Kieran B

Remember that Baptists and Methodists etc mostly started over here so they’re not uniquely American

Kieran B

Albert’s head nod is a famous part of his character…

Kieran B

Bless my heart, dear old Joan Sims guest staring as Auntie Rennie. Classic Carry On star, nice to see her again, may she rest in peace.

Jon Burkitt

A vicar is the priest of a local parish church, ranking below a bishop.

Joe

Sort of. Legally you have to report certain items (anything with gold or silver in it and over a certain weight if its a base metal) or you will go to prison if you attempt to sell it. You report to the Portable Antiquities Scheme Finds Liaison Officer who tells you what it is and keeps a record of it. You can then sell it, and often split the proceeds with the land owner depending on your deal with them. This process is done to mitigate the lost knowledge of people just digging things up and not recording where they found them like archaeologists would do. A couple of blokes recently went away for 5 years for not reporting treasure they found. Source: I did a degree in archaeology and a module on heritage laws.

Joe

I know a danny the dick 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Dango247

Can't wait for Miami Twice ☺

Chris Blackman

pretty sure we havve a similar thing with treasure, if you report it, museums can claim it or something....Which is part of the reason you barely ever hear of anyone finding anything. Because if you "didnt find it" then you dont have to give it up ;)

Matt Camburn

There was a prequel to Only Fools and Horses called Rock and Chips it stared Jay from the inbetweeners as a young Del Boy, and Rodney plays Freddie the frog.

Daz

Yeah, sorry. I think I've commented on an unrelated video about getting back to another show. I just thought that if the last episode was too long ago, then you probably won't reed it. Or even see it. Because who has time to read all the new comments on old videos. Especially if you're getting a boom in subscribers.

Joe Thornhill

I think people get mad when they have to wait days or weeks for the next episode of a good show then another show that isnt even good gets 3 episodes uploaded in between.... is my guessing, Makes sense to me but im not bothered

Jordan Lewis French

Awesome enough to get away with a signature pink guitar! Country guitarists are generally pretty good, check out Johnny Highland for example

Adi Hughes

Mr Bond gets it

Craig McCulloch

How awesome a guitarist is Brad Paisley

Craig McCulloch

People basically like to binge watch so your probably better off doing a programme at a time haha cant win em all

Sophie

That is the order they were aired.

Fordy7169

To those commenting on future episodes (of anything) just stop. Leave the King go into them not having high/low expectations. Muppet.

Jason Bonner

Hi Boomer, yeah i thought Del was a bit of a jerk in that episode, but hey you should never have to explain yourself to any of us. You can stop or start when and how you please!. Ignore those idiots. Have a good one

Dave Bond

Yes, next episode is the Xmas special 'Dates' , then Series 6, then the 2 Xmas specials 'The Jolly Boys Outing' (1989) and 'Rodney Come Home' (1990), then Series 7. None of these specials are set at Xmas, they were just shown on UK TV during the festivities.

Fordy7169

Let's see if I can get a ban: Country music rules, line dancing is the best thing ever, and I BELIEVE THAT WE CAN WIN!!!!! You just do what you do mate, I enjoy your "virtual" company. Love this episode!

Adi Hughes

Same, love when series either deliberately or even incidentally link canon from early on. Saying that then I remembered that there is episodes later which also add to the canon in more depth

Matt

Yes! I was wondering if anyone had mentioned this. I really loved that.

Beccy

What I will say though is that Benidorm does get a lot better. Series 5 is brilliant imo. You have some great new characters and others really finding their feet!

Beccy

You're doing a great job KB. Actually, I end up laughing more just because your laugh is so contagious! Those people would annoy me too 😒

Beccy

They are sort of the equivalent of a Parish Priest in Catholicism

Gary B

He has Dates - he reads the comments and I'll give him 'a little schlap' if he buggers up the next episode

Craig McCulloch

well you gave the best convincing argument against what I said 'But true dat'

Craig McCulloch

Soo ..................... whens the next It Crowd though.....?

Craig McCulloch

You're doing a good job keep What you're doing dont worry about other people 😃

Gary Moore

Great reaction, don’t worry about some of the idiots some people have no patience, like only fools is by far my favourite show you react to I’m not really a fan of peep show or IT crowd, but everyone has different tastes and many people will enjoy those reactions you just have to wait your turn As some have said above Dates is next make sure you watch that first so the rest makes sense 👍

Ben

According to wikipedia (I know) Dates did air at the start of series 6

Chevy

Well, you went there! But true dat

Phil Robinson

Do not skip ahead to the season 6 Xmas special. A lot of stuff happens in season 6 that you'll need to watch first.

Neal Murdoch

I didn’t know that about solicitors either lol.

Brian Moran

The vicar confusion amused me as I dated a guy when I was at uni who had come here for a semester and he was from Pittsburgh and he had no idea what a vicar was and I had to explain. Another word he couldn't get his head around was 'solicitor' as you guys call them 'attorneys'

Kayleigh

Its only alter boys the church is ok with - they seem to have a problem with women......🤦‍♂️😂

Craig McCulloch

or just let him watch them in the order they were aired.. ?

Jordan Lewis French

the first episode of season 6 is the next xmas special and the last episode is also a xmas special the first one is called Dates and the end xmas special is called The Jolly Boys' Outing

Daryl Hudson

The requirement for celibacy in the clergy was formally abolished in the Church of England in 1549. Since that time, and continuing in the present time, there is no requirement for celibacy

Daryl Hudson

React to Dates with Queen Boomer first then into season 6 King Boomer 👍

Luke Fisher

Vicars are set slightly below the official head of a congregation or parish, sometimes acting as an agent or substitute clergyman. Originally considered an earthly go-between for man and God, the meaning of the word moved diminished as the vicar became sort of a "deputy" priest or parson.

Daryl Hudson

the patreon people are humans to just a little amount of them happen to be stupid hum moronic humans

Daryl Hudson

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the next episode, which is called Dates.

Steve Read

Yeah the next episode is “Dates” which is the Christmas special from 1988, then series 6 starts with “Yuppy Love”. ✌️

AWR93

some of the gold coins on the florida beaches are £50k a pop you should go look after a storm KB

Doug

It's brilliant! He's nothing like Rodney though lol

Sonia ferguson

No, watch dates, then season 6, jumping will spoil it

Ian Staines

Kind of appropriate watching the Christmas specials at Christmas. Really looking forward to series 6, I think every episode has classic moments in them.

Chris C

The Xmas special "Dates" is the next episode then season 6 starts, you're just getting into the classic era of OFAH. Also Dates is a good one to get QB in on.

Jehan Ariyaratnam

I'm pretty happy with your varied show schedule, and I'm glad you stopped Bottom, it is boring after about 2 episodes. Hope you keep Man Down going though. All the shows you are currently doing are good.

Aaron

I love this one. Perfectly sets up the more series prequel spin off series or mini series specials - rock and chips, with Jay from the Inbetweeners as a young del. I think it's massively underrated tbh.

Kristopher Barton

King, you need to watch the next episode which was the 1988 Christmas Special 'Dates' ( although it is not set at Xmas) which was shown just before Series 6. This has a bearing on a future episode/series and which will become apparent as you go through them. I'm not going to say if the '88 Special is any good as not to spoil your watching.

Fordy7169

Next season will blow you away 🤣🤣🤣

Sophie

the next episode is the special called dates one of my favourate episodes cant wait to see your reaction to it

sean fealey

A Vicar is an Anglican priest I'm pretty sure. They are allowed to marry, unlike Catholic priests.

Luke Barron

He looks more like a pigeon pecking 😄

Mark Parker

You actually get to see Freddie the Frog in the OFAH prequel series. Which incidentally stars James Buckley as young Del Boy.

Mouse

Really appreciate your choice of reactions, would love it if you watched dirty rotten scoundrels, if you think you’d like a Michael Caine comedy

Joe

Hopefully all of us

Mark Parker

Each show will get there reaction just be patient we are mostly all behind you King Boomer 👍

Mark Parker

This episode is actually really relevant if you ever watch "Rock and Chips" (Only Fools and Horses prequal where James Buckley plays Del Boy) after with mention of Freddie the Frog and the implication of Del's and Rodney's mum being "friends"

Matt

As luck would have it (as Del Boy would say), The next episode after this one is another christmas special anyway titled 'Dates'. At this point I would definitely say you should watch the episodes in order to avoid spoilers. so 'Dates' is next and then the 50-min episodes from series 6 afterwards

William Clark

The next episode to watch is "Dates". Its the 1988 Christmas special. Some websites consider it to be part of season 6 (which started in January 1989), others consider it to be a one off special. Either way you need to watch it first as some pretty big references are made to it in future episodes which you wouldn't understand without seeing it

David Ridley

Yeah Vicars can get married, actually when I was going to a CofE school, we had a girl in the year above who's parents were our vicars of the church who the school was connected with. Every Tuesday they'd come into our assembly's to do a speech and they'd wave to her lol.

Matt

You definitely need to keep in the right order. Fools and Horses comes into a fantastic new era. Some of the absolute best ever moments of British comedy coming up soon!

Miller

Most likely a combination of the episodes now being 1 hour long which must be daunting to see before starting alone, but also with the limited time especially with PB and taking any opportunity with QB being free to record some of the fan favourites and the ones which often make youtube

Matt

In terms of your chat at the start Brian I agree with you. If you've outlined your guidelines in black and white and have vocally explained them too, you really don't owe anyone any apologies. Respectfully they can just 'Do one' lol. Great reaction though look forward to the next one.

2 ard

There is another special before series 6 starts called 'Dates' which is essential.

hfdzongkha

There is another special next called dates before season 6. Which is an amazing episode.

Simon Westerman

Ignore the rude people. Its the modern world unfortunately. 99% of us love your reactions

David Ridley

Don’t forget to watch “Dates” it’s the last Xmas special before season 6 starts 😊

connor

Henry VIII didn't take too kindly to not being able to be a complete bastard and shag around (divorce) in a Roman Catholic state - and unilaterally formed the Church of England, another Protestant denomination of Christianity. "Vicars" in the CofE provide the same social function as "Priests" do in the Roman Catholic church - except thanks to said murderous King, "Vicars" are not bound by any chastity vows as per Priests in the RC Church. They can have wives and families, if they so choose. There's other complexities there, but this is basically it.

Phil Robinson

Seriously some people are idiots. It’s great stuff KB

Kiwi Tau

When you have finished all of the only fools and horses king boomer, you should react to 'rock and chips' in which Jay from the inbetweeners plays a young Del Boy and Nicholas Lyndhhrst who plays Rodney is Freddy The Frog. It's really good

Aaron Close

Well said mate

Chris Silverthorne

Watch it and nobody will have to

Chris Silverthorne

Dangerous talk regarding the tea there my friend! ;)

Phil Robinson

A vicar is a type of priest in the Anglican church, as opposed to a rector. Today they're pretty much the same thing, but historically there's a difference which is far too convoluted to explain in a Patreon text box. My grandfather was actually a vicar, he used to give his occupation as "clerk on holy orders". I don't know if he was making a statement about his vocation or just trying to annoy people, it was often hard to tell with him.

Charlie

I love the OFAH reactions. Thankfully it gets better and better. Don't let anyone get you down though. You're doing a lot to please a lot of different people. You'll never please everyone. I was a little disappointed you stopped Bo Selecta and Still Game but I'll not give you crap for it. I watch because you're a likeable guy. Could sub to plenty of others doing what you do. I don't have the time and money to do it so you're the one I like to watch. Please keep up the good work KB

Chris Silverthorne

they would have just said to switch it off and back on again lol

Markos

Dates next, then Series 6. The sequence starts to matter now, whereas in the first three series the episodes could be watched in any order. PS: Black tea (tea without milk) is great.

Joshua

Season 6 unusually starts with the Christmas special this time, so it would be in the correct order to see “Dates” next. 🙂

Gary Tamblyn

Rodney in Frasier? Can’t wait to see where they go with that haha

Chug

Wouldn't worry mate, you're not the type he's justifiably complaining about! Enjoy. I do think though that Patreon is an incredibly clunky platform when it comes to engagement. Needs a rethink in that capacity I feel.

Phil Robinson

I left a comment on Red Dwarf saying what happened to FND, without realising it was finished, was a couple episodes behind. Didn't realise there was a chat now to ask these questions, annoyed at myself because I hate going into the comments and seeing those type of comments! Anyways, I'm ready for this to begin! 80 minutes of joy

Ross stewart

Vicar is Protestant, priest is Catholic.

Gary Mcatear

I think it was a mug. Stephen: "Tankard"

Brendan

Great reaction, I really enjoy this episode. And lovely to see Joan Sims pop up in anything frankly - lovely lady, she elevates anything she appears in. DO stick with the proper running order - next episode for you should be "Dates" from Xmas 1988 - it's important! I know other's have already said but just adding another voice to reinforce the point! Series 6 started immediately after in Jan 1989.

Phil Robinson

Are you a Frasier fan King. B? I'd be suprised if you weren't, because it feels exactly like the type of comedy you'd love. Over here it's consistently been on everyday for the past 20 yrs or more, so it almost feels like I've been forced to love it! lol. Anyway, in it's recent revival NICHOLAS LYNDHURST has been cast as one the main characters, Frasier's pal from university. I seem to be ready to hate anything that brings back an old show these day's, seen very little of it, but I hear it's going pretty well so far.

Brodie Vickers

You are the same as me regarding Star Wars, except I think The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are ace. Bill Burr provided the special sauce, he wasn't in the third season and it sucked b@lls.

Martin N

Some unstable people believe if they have a vested interest in a Youtube channel or celebrity, they have some kind of ownership over that person/people. It's very scary, and not far removed from obsessive movie star fans.

Jay

Listened to the hole intro bit 100% agree with king, amen enough said.

Lethal Atmos 3

According to wiki, Season 6 has two xmas special episodes, the first of which is the next episode anyway. Don't skip ahead there are definitely spoilers ;)

Jon

Hi KB. Not Only Fools related (sorry), but I'm not sure where we are supposed to make requests? If you're looking for something Christmassy to react to on Youtube, I highly recommend you check out 'Kev's Christmas Crackers' from Ricky Gervais' Derek show. They're 12 short videos, but very very funny. With regards to your comments, I always believe that Patreon is to support streamers we enjoy, not a pay per view service. You can only upload what you can when you can, and I think most of us appreciate what you give us. Best wishes.

Jay

‘We are looking for his gold, not his ruddy tennis racket’ is one of my favourite lines in all of Only Fools. Always makes me laugh! PS. Watch them in order, will work much better in the long run

Michael May

You can’t make everyone happy, and let’s be honest the amount of unstable people around these days is frightening.

Pee-Wee Stairmaster

probably cos they long episodes now, this and peep show are the only two shows I like being uploaded here anyway. Luckily we get a lot of peepedepeeps

Jordan Lewis French

I think vicar is used only in England. It's the same as pastor or local (regional) pastor.

Chay Davenport

so many of us have xD

Jordan Lewis French

IMO the whole reason your videos are enjoyable is because you/QB are actually *enjoying* what you’re watching, if you started forcing yourselves to watch certain shows when you really just weren’t feeling them at the time, people would start to see through it (like a few other YT channels, mentioning no names) and it’s not really a reaction video anymore, never looks genuine and not entertaining. Same goes for pausing, if people want to just watch the show without you guys’ comments/thoughts/banter between you both, I don’t get why they don’t just watch the show on their own lol Great content as always!

Chug

Ground work has been done with the characters by this point it’s the start of OFAH becoming legendary.

David Harman

Hey KB i have never had a problem with anything you do here. I have been watching your decent into madness since you started the inbetweeners and i absolutely love it when you and QB are having fun with the reaction or even go off road and say something completely hilarious. Some people think because they are paying patreon it gives them the right to dictate how you react and what you react to. You will never please these people so don't try :)

Markos

So uh... when are you doing Only Fools and Horses?

Z is for Zed

Yay, finally an OFAH!!

Lz Bristol

According to britannica.com “ In canon law a priest working with or in place of the pastor of a parish is called a vicar, or curate. In the Church of England, a vicar is the priest of a parish the revenues of which belong to another, while he himself receives a stipend”

Geraint Harrison

the computers at the beginning they should have called Roy and Moss.

Chay Davenport

I’ve seen spoilers before, but somehow I’ve managed to block them from my memory before I watch the episode that was discussed. As for mods, like Brodie said, I’d really have to trust someone not to go full Tywin Lannister and not ban people or delete comments left and right. I’ve seen it happen way too often in game servers and other YouTube chat rooms.

Brian Moran

lol it gets me every time

Brian Moran

The next episode is “Dates”, which is also a Christmas special - it aired before series 6, so watch “Dates” next and you’ll be watching them in the correct order. 👍 “Dates” won’t have any spoilers for series 6 as it was shown before series 6 anyway.

CraigRed

Not a bad idea, though I get the feeling that people would go too far with it. Power corrupts lol

Brodie Vickers

I didn't know you get so much shit from subscribers...sucks the fun out of it. sucks it right out

James

Does Patreon have an options to have mods on the page? I’m sure there’s a couple lads and lasses here that wouldn’t mind spending 30 minutes a day deleting the unnecessary comments. I’ll be honest, I was kinda hoping you would also bring up the issue of people spoiling shows. Well not necessarily spoiling them, but talking about future episodes, and hyping them up. The comment section should just be for discussing what has happened in that episode/what ever points you have made, and that is it.

Brad

Yes do the Xmas special 'Dates' first

Leigh Hughes

A vicar is similar to a priest, however a vicar can marry and have kids and a priest can't

Matt Wells

Did you stop watching ...... Just joking. Interesting to see your take on ofah, it was a British take away growing up during the 80/90's . The next episode of the it crowd is great, the first episode I ever watched tbh.

Westley Johnstone

Uncle Albert the pigeon!!

Matt Wells

Yup. A priest over here is associated with the Catholic Church. A vicar is our Church of England equivalent. Vicars can marry and have kids, we have jokes about "the Vicars wife". Vicars can also be women too

Clare Hollylee

There’s another Christmas special before series 6. “Dates” 1988 Series 6 started in 1989

Jay C

I think people forget that you're still working a full-time job, as well as now raising a baby. So no pressure man, at least from me. We're lucky to even get these weekly. I started a channel myself earlier in the year, which is slowly starting to grow now. Rare that is there, I f***ing hate it when people get demanding, so I know where your coming from.

Brodie Vickers

Wow over 9 minutes from start of the video from the clip starting. Someone fill me in....

Rob Green

A vicar is the same as a priest

Little Jimmy

Anyone who gives king or queen shit, should just fuck off and watch someone else! They have a very young baby and work hard but still find the time to come on here and entertain us! They do not work for us, so chill out and enjoy the great content! King will get to every show eventually just give him a chance people, share love not hate!!!!!

Matt Wells

I’m pretty sure a priest is Roman Catholic and a vicar is Church of England. And Yh a vicar can marry and have children :)

Ryan Mitchell

Yeah maybe save the christmas special for another time, there's some plot development coming from the next few episodes, so you might be better off doing those first. Like these last two specials, it's not massively festive so you can do it anytime. Do what you want to do though. Cool reaction as usual dude. *Scratch that, you can definetly do the next special! It's the following one I'm thinking of*

Brodie Vickers

Great episode this one. Got the legendary Joan Sims as a guest star, brilliant actress.

John Dawber

Love how you notice Albert’s head bobbing lol 😂

Ryan Mitchell

I love this episode. Only problem is it ends too soon; would have been amazing to see the Trotters diving for treasure.

ALW

Great episode. It doesn't bother me when you do reactions, I know you do what you can when you can. I'm just grateful you do them.

Little Jimmy

To be honest, anyone who hates the IT Crowd and doesn't find it funny, deserves banning from the channel 😂

BigChanChan

The next episode “Dates” is a top 5 episode, can’t wait!

AWR93

dratsab888 .

I think the trouble is King Boomer, people like a schedule, regardless of how you play it, people will have expectations. Most of the other reaction channels do this. Thats my feedback for you on this reaction, Also Red Dwarf and OFAH are GB favourites. Dont take it the wrong way, It’s a paid service people think they have a right to request… they dont, but they do have a choice to cancel and have the choice to leave. I have to admit it annoys me, but I do love you and Q Boomers reactions, so I accept it and choose to stay

Mike Doel

I’ve been waiting soooo long for the next OFAH reaction. So glad it’s here now! 😃

CraigRed

One of my favourite’s

Michael Oliver
