Red Dwarf S4 Ep6 "Meltdown" REACTION!

WTF!

Red Dwarf S4 Ep6 "Meltdown" REACTION!

Comments

Damb, this is my favourite episode of this season πŸ˜…

Adam Senior

Was fΓΌr ein Kerl!

Mattoid

I love Gunmen but otherwise I find 6 a bit formulaic and β€˜comedy by the numbers’

Kieran B

I think it’s weaker than S1, I do like this episode and Dimension Jump though - Camille is okay, Justice same and White Hole meh

Kieran B

πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

Jason Scade

Yes, he's Stan Laurel. Oliver Hardy must have been whacked on the battlefield.

Jason Scade

I'm Sorry but who the hell WAS that guy in the bowler hat who could barley speak? All I can think of is Stan or Ollie (whichever one was slim) because of the bowler hat and suit.

Joe Thornhill

wrong

Andy Farmer

There are lots of seasons of Red Dwarf but it goes downhill after season 6.

Neal Murdoch

I can't wait for one moment. The intro to season 7 episode 2. Those who know, know

the_greenlion

Oh don't worry I've watched you long enough to know you wouldn't shit on the Dalai Lama πŸ™‚ and to be honest even if you were I'd still respect your right to an opinion even if that opinion was distasteful to me. As I said before I was just curious lol.

M0rsh Marlow

Series 4 is good..but yeah was never keen on this episode

Paul Liversage

To be honest, I thought it might be something to do with something politically incorrect said by Rimmer because he was quite edgy in what he was saying lol.

BigChanChan

I love the concept of this episode but it's a bit short on laughs... Still enjoyed it though and it only gets much better in the next 2 seasons if I remember rightly.

BigChanChan

Back to Reality is the best episode of the show IMO :) but those are all great too

squarewindow

cannot wait for Gunmen of the Apocalypse and Rimmerworld ... and Legion.... and Polymorph

Craig McCulloch

There was an interruption that I cut out. I promise I didn’t shit on the Dalai Lama.

Brian Moran

Love it!

James

I'm curious, when Rimmer was inspecting his "Soldiers" did you deliberately cut out the Dalai Lama or are you not aware that you've done that?

M0rsh Marlow

I love Roman history too, there's lots of Roman roads, old forts etc, in the hills around where I live in North Wales, there's one official account made by a Roman historian of a Roman expeditionary force led by Sempronius which completely disappeared without trace, thought to have been ambushed in the valley where I now live.

Mark Jones

Chris Barrie who plays Rimmer was also in another sitcom called 'The Brittas Empire' which started the same year as this series 1991, he played the completely inept manager of a leisure centre and it was pretty funny, I always enjoyed it, seeing as you like Rimmer so much you should maybe pencil it down on your future to-watch list.

Mark Jones

It's ironical that you hate things that you have never seen... I'm getting that exact same feeling now! πŸ€”

BigChanChan

They're definitely worse, although I do like some of the episodes in series 7.

David Williams

Definitely in my top 5 of Red Dwarf episodes - I love it. So many great scenes - my favourite though might be the whole Winnie the Pooh execution - we don't see it but imagining it is far funnier than if they'd actually showed it!

Phil Robinson

This was always an episode I liked too :) I'm not sure if it was in the series documentary (as each series had one), but the story of the guy who played Gandhi caught a cold whilst filming, and also getting burned by one of the explosive charges as he couldn't move quickly enough in the scenes. So at least person suffered from that war!

LyingSecret

Then 7, 8 & 9 are so bad.

Martin Nercessian

I'm sure others have said this, but the original broadcast of this episode (in 1991) was delayed because the first Gulf War had just started and the powers-that-be were worried it was too anti-war.

Iain Chase

You may be surprised but I think Series 4 is the weakest since Series 1. This episode being one of the reasons. I'm glad others like it though.

Wilss

Not only are you wrong, you are also a wrong un.

Billy Rockets

Seasons 5 and 6 are the absolute peak of Red Dwarf and contain probably the best episodes of all, really excited for those.

David Williams

The light bee concept is such an elegant solution to both how Rimmer can still be afraid (it might break) and how he can't just walk through walls.

ALW

So what are you doing here then?

Brodie Vickers

Season 5 is a cracker.

Phil Tordoff

I recently discovered IT crowd through King B after years of refusing and hating it. I was wrong! IT crowd is awesome....but I'm surely not wrong twice. I still refuse to watch red dwarf. It's pants!! We need more peep show lok

James

Suprisingly this is an episode most people don't care for, I love it though. It's so random! With an anti-war sentiment you wouldn't usually expect from this show. You've got to do the smeg ups (outtakes) sometime man, they're all on the Tube.
