I know some think it starts and end strong but after re-watching, even though the first season is good, it gets as hilarious as Father Ted by the 2nd to the 4th. The 5th season is just an extra long episode btw

Just thought you might enjoy it. The mad thing about it is it was the fascists who had the police protection, and the government (and frankly all of the major political parties) were totally ineffectual at speaking out against fascism, that it took local residents to really make a stand and pelt those nazi twats with whatever was at hand! Was widely regarded as being a symbolic moment in the demise of fascism in the UK.
