2023-10-09 21:32:04 +0000 UTCThat was a very polite rant about the woman and her dog! I love dogs, but can't stand dog owners who treat them like mini humans (or 'fur babies', urgh!). During the covid lockdowns, it seems a lot of people in the UK got a dog because they were a bit bored, but without any idea or knowledge of the commitment and basic training required to look after one. Drives me mad! Anyway hope you get some sleep soon!

And our two year old daughter. I've no idea how we all got through it! Still, I had it easy, I wasn't in hospital having blood transfusions. I was exhausted but knew better than to complain when she came home!

2023-10-09 17:15:41 +0000 UTCGeoffrey Palmer was in Tomorrow Never Dies and also plays the father in a comedy from the late 70s-early 80s called Butterflies where Nicolas Lyndhurst (Rodney from only fools and horses) plays his son. He puts on a northern accent in that as opposed to the cockney accent he puts on in only fools and horses, which is nothing like his real speaking voice- he's actually quite posh in real life

In the meantime his work colleagues called "to collect him" for a meeting and confused Basil who thought they were the undertakers, hence all the talk of "modern dress" and being surprised (for 1979 anyway) that women did it. Mr. Leaman's room was booked for another guest (the inflatable guy) so they had to move the body out before he arrived. The whole episode is a magnificent example of farce....
