RIP Wilson :'(

Friday Night Dinner S5 Ep6 "Wilson" (Un-Cut) REACTION!

Comments

Its a TV show bud not a documentary

Jordan D

Oh I see you've commented on everyone's comment here. You're a troll, two inch dick and a belly full of your uncles cum. You're clearly lonely and desperate for human interaction. Jump in front of a train, see if you can make friends with that.

Rembrandt Le Beau Von Goethe De Wolfe

Yes it did you twat. Check IMDb before you call me a liar you cunt face pig fucker.

Rembrandt Le Beau Von Goethe De Wolfe

Have you joined the patreon just to troll or something?

Steve G

Correcting someone's spelling or grammar as your only argument shows poor character and lack of any debatable skill.

Dave Jones

He's so shit.

Grady Parsons

They do own 4x4s.

Grady Parsons

That house was built long after WWII and it's a "4x4", not an "SUV".

Grady Parsons

If you mean Snatch, that's Irish.

Grady Parsons

No, she really wasn't.

Grady Parsons

It wasn't at all accurate.

Grady Parsons

It's said by the elderly sometimes.

Grady Parsons

Definitely didn't sound at all accurate.

Grady Parsons

Don't watch it.

Grady Parsons

They definitely didn't.

Grady Parsons

More like 1990s.

Grady Parsons

Shut up. It's not like you contribute anything, you twat.

Grady Parsons

Isn't a reality for now.

Grady Parsons

Shut up.

Grady Parsons

And they're here not to be caught off-guard and very upset by things. Why don't you fuck off, you "little grub"?

Grady Parsons

It's because in Florida (and all of America), everyone is weird so Jim doesn't stand out.

Grady Parsons

The fruit is horrible.

Grady Parsons

You can't even spell so everything you're saying doesn't matter.

Grady Parsons

Didn't happen. Americans can't do UK accents at all.

Grady Parsons

I think QB was talking about the film called 'The Queen' American actor James Cromwell played the Duke of Edinburgh (The Queen's husband) His accent was flawless. Among other films, he's known for The Green Mile, L.A. Confidential, Babe and Space Cowboys.

Rembrandt Le Beau Von Goethe De Wolfe

fun fact: Tom Rosenthal (Jonny) actually plays as an American character in a film!

Havana Donaldson

I think QB is talking about 'The Darkest Hour' - about Winston Churchill in WW II (not the King - he was the Prime Minister) and played by Gary Oldman (not American - he is British). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skrdyoabmgA

Bers

I hate Johnny, he's such a dick. You don't fuck with someone's job or someone's girlfriend. But what makes Johnny worse is he whines like a little bitch whenever he gets karma delt back to him

Dave Jones

Don't know why they're complaining about the crumble missing the fruit. The crumble is the best bit!

Alex Birchall

I wondered why FND stopped all of a sudden on YT and was excited to find it on here. Don't worry about the moaners, it's less than the price of a takeaway coffee for a month subscription, well worth it. Love you guys and love the fact that I feel like I'm watching some of my favourite shows for the first time again. Yes to IT Crowd. Each to their own but it took me a few episodes to get into it, it does get better as it goes along and well worth it 👍

Marty D

My Dog's eyesight has gone to shit and peeing a lot further first thing though is eating well - wary of taking him to the Vet at 16 (or 80 in Dog year) in case he never comes out.

Robert Ryan

I lost my dog 3 weeks ago and his side-kick 3 years ago, so even though I had seen this before, it was extra poignant and brought a tear to my eye. Still a great episode, as with all comedies that make you have an emotional response!

Lord Charfield

It always quite baffles me that you two don't "get" Jim. I think it says quite a bit about the psychology of British v American humour, as I don't know anyone who doesn't cry laughing at Jim & that doesn't think he's the Top Character in the show, or at the very least joint with Martin. I often think that he;s a character that wouldnt work in America, as no great comedic American actor would really want to play such a role since they prefer playing the guy taking the piss than the one who's piss is taken. It often feels like American roles of a similar weirdness often go to far in to creepy territory......I've always thought that Channel 4 have left A LOT of money on the table not making a Jim specific spin-off. I imagine it would be this generation's Mr. Bean - which btw, have you guys watched Mr. Bean?

x

Yeah no-one should have warned them. That's a shitty thing to do in general, nevermind a reaction channel. Even though they appreciated it, it would be nice if they didn't do so in the future.

x

The solice I take from our dogs passing away, and pets in general, is that from their point of view, we're Immortal beings that were in their lives from the beginning to the end providing them love for their entire existence & they give that love x1,000,000,000+ back unconditionally <3

x

Well 'I' didn't warn them as I just bought patreon about 3 weeks ago... 'I' was referring to us as the supporters, but keep up your hard man appearance you "little grub" lmfao.

Tidgy

You shouldn't have warned them you little grub. We're here for true reactions.

c

Bore off grandad.

c

😔😔 One of the most harrowing scenes of any TV series. I had to come back to it the next day when it was released on All4. I can't imagine what KB and QB reactions would've been if we hadn't have warned them about this.

Tidgy

I live in a terrace house, as do millions of Brits and have no garage, I park on the street. Of course it would be nice to park in a garage or even a drive, but I could never afford a semi-detached or detached property. Still at least I own my home which for a lot of the youngsters now will sadly never be a reality.

Si Cr

Their house looks like 1930s maybe 50s...when cars were smaller and the idea of a family having more than 1 was unthinkable

Paul Liversage

Jim (Mark Heap) is in Spaced with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

Bikeaholic

Garages in the UK are generally used just for motorbikes and other storage

Bikeaholic

Queen can't be thinking of John Malkovich in Johnny English...surely?!

Stu T

I'm English and I thought James Marsters who played Spike in Buffy the vampire was English for years, that is a great example of an American Doing a excellent English accent.

Daryl Hudson

cracking suggestion

Isaac Steele

Also KB I agree The Wire is a great show. One of the actors guessed starred in a great UK show here called Waking The Dead which I can highly recommend

Andy Farmer

KB and don't forget Dominic West's American accent in The Wire as well

Andy Farmer

Can I recommend Outnumbered after Friday Night Dinner is finished. A sitcom around a family where the children are heavily involved in the comedy. Think it would be very apt for you both!

Matt

Patrick McGoohan who played King Edward in Braveheart was technically American as he was born in New York but moved to Ireland and then England at an early age that's the only film I can think of where an American actor has played a king of England apart from King Ralph but he played an American in the film so both don't really count.

William Stewart

After Friday Night Dinner, you should try The IT Crowd, Black Books or Spaced.

Neal Murdoch

As you guys are coming up on the final series of 'Friday Night Dinner', may I recommend a few shows? 1. 'Black Books' (3 series, 2000-2004) Sitcom. Set in a bookshop named 'Black Books'. Very funny stuff, and also starring Tamsin Greig. It's also co-created and written by the guys behind 'Father Ted'. 2. 'Outnumbered' (5 series + specials, 2007-2016) Comedy/drama series. Might be fitting due to the Queens pregnancy, and the Kings penchant for kids saying naughty and OTT things. Also on a side note; Did KB ever finish 'Bottom'? I don't think so... might be worth to finish Series 3 and then do the 4 stage shows + the 'Guest House Paradiso' movie :)

Mikkel Aarestrup

Very sorry for your losses ❤️

JJ

An excellent show

JJ

Margaret Robbie. Excellent.

C J

British actor doing an American accent - Daniel Day Lewis a fine example. Gangs of New York, Lincoln etc.

Aaron Hinton

Not a British accent, but Leo Di Caprio's South African accent in Blood Diamond was class 👌

JustJack

I’m high now time to watch this and have a fit of laughter

Adam

Gwyneth Paltrow done a convincing British Accent in Sliding Doors. People thought she was British as far as I remember from the time.

Ryan Lynch

😉😉

Adam

Is that sarcasm? 🤣

Mark Jones

Yeah I felt that bit at the end was a bit weird too and not keeping with the general tone.

Adam

To be fair, Dick Van Dyke pulled off an incredible English accent in Mary Poppins.

Adam

As if you paused it during the most tender scene of the entire show?!? Just watch it for Christ's sake.

TravellingBlade

Mark Heap who plays Jim is a comedy legend in the UK, to nerds anyway, he's been in loads of great shows, Jim is my least favourite of all the characters he's ever played though. He was one of the main characters in the TV sitcom 'Spaced' which was basically the prequel to the Cornetto Trilogy films, I hope you react to some of his other shows in the future, one of my favourite shows of his also starred Tamsin Grieg who plays the mum, it was a sitcom based in a hospital called 'Green Wing', but Jam and Big Train were great too.

Mark Jones

Jim said near the end that "Wilson never lets me take him to the vet!" but I think it was more Jim who didn't want to as he knew there was something wrong and didn't want to confirm it. I kind of hated the bit at the end where he like "i'll get another one tomorrow then" as I know everyone is different and I wouldn't even mind if they revealed later that he got a new one the next day (as he was grieving and trying to fill a hole) but that whole scene basically just undermines the emotion of the scenes before and their companionship in general as it was far too flippant even for someone like Jim

Matt

mark heap (jim) appears in a Benidorm episode

R

This episode brought up emotions for me. I've had two cats die suddenly at home, and I found it much harder to come to terms with than having a pet put to sleep. I am going to be a mess when the time comes for my dog, but I am trying to make sure he lives his best life whilst he's with us. I doubt you will have time for a new series now with your little Princess on the way, but The Green Wing is a good, wacky UK comedy - it has Jim and Jackie in it, as well as Olivia Coleman.

Kayleigh

I'm not saying anything more about it now be no spoiler comments from me!

Luke Fisher

Nah please no one spoil that

theOraclelives

Our garages are mostly storage areas, cars are parked on the driveway. Saves you opening and closing the garage doors all the time.

Joe

Peter Dinklage's British accent in GOT was the first thing I saw him in and I was convinced he was British until I saw him in an interview. I swear I've seen him in something else where he was also doing a British accent. Might have been Pixels but I can't remember off the top of my head

Jacob Mescam

So sad!!

Matt Wells

Nah its quite a common scottish term and is used but rarely

charlie wright

Yeah our garages here are mostly for storage, people put their cars infront of their house in their front garden.

charlie wright

Never known anyone call turds 'dollops', think that's just a Jim thing!

David Lyons

Gwyneth Paltrow did a passable English accent in Sliding Doors...a 90s rom com

David Wright

Knew this was the sad one RIP Wilson

Harry Brett (Chef)

Let's just say a change happens come the end of season 3 I'm not saying anymore 🤣

Luke Fisher

Do you mean with the pig?

Daniel Colton

jim calling wilson to come near the end got me :/ my dog passed away 5 weeks ago now and i still call her to come to bed some nights forgetting shes gone. made me laugh too "i'll go and get another dog tomorrow" nothing can replace them but a puppy helps fill that void.

The Everything Guy

Wait til King Boomer reacts to a Plebs spoiler I'll be interested on how he reacts to that one when it arrive!

Luke Fisher

Mark Heap (Jim) is such an underated comic/actor - he really is quality.

Anthony Mark Taylor

Mel Gibson as William Wallace? Not English and not a King but maybe what you're thinking of.

Harry

always

Amanda

grammar police on patreon too 🤔

Amanda

Relax mate, QB is several months pregnant and has been on weeks of bed rest, and as we've learned from prior videos is a massive dog lover (not massive dogs). I think giving this 'spoiler' was the kindest thing to do.

Kieran

Who is the nice young man on the left?

Lawrence Peach

is the queen thinking of the film king ralph

tricky D77

Great*

Jehan Ariyaratnam

I thought Idris Elba was American for such a long time because of the Wire. I think it was Luther I watched about 10 years later and was super confused, I had to look up if they were the same person 😅

Steve G

I lost my dog in 2017. I'd had in since 2000 when I was 15. He lived with me when I moved out, for a further 14 years. He was pretty much my best friend. I still miss the guy. I have 3 cats now.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

I can't remember the last time I was on the road and went 'corrr, look at that car'. Just a carbon copy of the same few fuck ugly 4x4/SUV's, absolutely everywhere.

Steve Read

Nice to see the Irons represented here ⚒

Jon Edwards

yes true, except for mums dropping there kids off to school and parking in the middle of the road with their 4x4s blocking traffic lol

theOraclelives

US cars tend to be larger too. Most Brits don't own SUVs / 4x4s. But they're the most popular type of car in the US. That or trucks. Few Brits drive those either.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

The guy who plays Churchill in season 1's the Crown is American. I had no idea at the time, his accent was top notch.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Mark Heap, You Muppet.

c

Indian born, Matt Heap, highly talented actor.

andrew robinson

If it was specific for this I get it for this situation but I hope people dont start doing spoilers for other shows.

theOraclelives

In this very particular case, I think it was good to warn them. It wasn't me, but I would have.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

not sure if that is why people told him though, hopefully people arent going to spoil future episodes of shows in general.

theOraclelives

a good way to have a challenge to pass the time away to have a British accent contest between you both would be grate to watch...

Amanda

As KB has said the Queen isn't to have heightened emotions, I think it was wise for people to warn of the sadness in this episode.

Baswell

Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones was very convincing

Kiwi Tau

Brad Pitt's accent was great

theOraclelives

Garages in older UK houses were built for cars of the 1920s/30s/40s so definitely not big enough for the cars of today. Most people just use it for storage. My in-laws squeeze a small SUV in theirs but they barely have room to get out of the car.

Kiwi Tau

oh yeah about the garage, most houses don't have them and when they do they're usually small especially in comparison to US houses which are on the whole bigger in general anyway.
