I believe CD was something to do with call out doctor

Mark Rudd

They need to wear the wigs because it's a Disguise 😆

Adam Senior

We barely used sun screen in the summer back in the 80's. If you suggested sun screen in the winter everyone would think you're crazy. Even now, with global warming we get very little sun in the winter.

Sally Waites

That didn’t age well 😂😂😂😂😂

Mr Robot

They all the do the wigs in the west its barristers that wear them probably to conceal their identity beacause of the serious fraud they're involved in. Mickey Mouse means Mediocre and Del said Gregory, Gregory Peck Neck :)

Mr Robot

I stand corrected ty

Mark Parker

"Corps Diplomatique" - Foreign embassador with diplomatic immunity basically.

Manly Stump

CD sticker is doctor on call I think

Mark Parker

Can’t believe it but this is not the last time Only Fools reference Jimmy Savile😂😳

Sam Dilks

Del Boy is a legend

Chay Davenport

They still wear wigs in Australian court rooms, probably only because it's a former British colony

paul wylie

Thanks for the update.

u have really get the queen to start watching OFAH now

tricky D77

I first started watching OFAH in the very late 80s, so uncle Albert was the first one I got introduced to first. Uncle albert was a huge star all through the 90s and till the last episode in 2003. It was only in my late teens I got to start watching the very early years and I did very much enjoy Grandad. This Episode was 1985 and by the time OFAH got to the 90s the show had peaked with it being the biggest show on TV and the budgets just kept getting better and better. Currently you are still on the early years and I'm excited for you to see the direction it goes.

Charlie Costa

Lawsuit culture here is not quite as bad as America, but you still have ambulance-chasing bastards like Claims Direct advertising personal injury lawyers on daytime TV. Agreed on the power of corporations too. There's not much in the world that isn't in private hands or for sale in some way anymore, even ostensibly public things. Scary stuff.

Charlie

I'm a karate instructor, and unfortunately I know other clubs who had to close down and take out a mortgage to pay legal fees because some parents sue when their children get hit.

Brendan

birthday get only fools and red dwarf .... good day

Craig McCulloch

CD sticker is given to ambassadors and what not meaning technically they'd be immune to parking tickets etc

Matt

Uncle Albert only did it for grandad 😢

AWR93

That CD sticker stands for Corps Diplomatique, foreign ambassadors and diplomats have them on their vehicles (which aren’t usually beaten-up old three wheeled vans) and indicate the owner has diplomatic immunity (I.e. can’t be ticketed)

Chug

Tony Jacklin is a retired golfer so he would put the ball in holes all the time

Daryl Hudson

some places other than the UK wear wigs Australia Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Malawi and others but I don't know them all

11.20 Bless you

Chris Silverthorne

This is Buster Merryfield first episode that he filmed, he was terrified, he had never done tv or film before, only theatre, this is also the episode they filmed a week or so after Leonard had passed away, still grieving as they filmed, very sad times for the cast

Ian Staines

You could be forgiven for thinking so, what with the 'where there's blame there's a claim scenario'. This type of thing didn't come to the UK mainstream until the early 2000s, nowadays you can sue someone if they farted near you! Love the end scene banter in this about amnesia and the ironside reference 😂. Britain looked miserable in the 80s, proper winters back then. I think this episode was actually based on an event in John sullivans life.

Phoenix

They filmed some of this episode with grandad. The scene where Mike is looking up from the cellar, he is actually looking up at Del, Grandad and Rodney.
