Chay Davenport

Andy Farmer

It was invented by the 4th Earl of Sandwich.

Dean Carter

Lord sandwich was the lord of a town called sandwich in England nothing to do with food between bread

Chay Davenport

The commentator at the start is Jim Rosenthal - father of Tom.

Ian McNeill

Loaded all the comments to see if anybody had mentioned this and lo and behold, it was the very first one.

Domlaaa

As the world's greatest philosopher Al Murray once said "You see that as a win, we see that as a lucky fucking escape"

Loving the plebs KB 🤝

Yes, the Roman sets are pretty impressive for a sitcom. They are the permanent Roman sets at the Nu Boyana Film Studios in Bulgaria, where all the filming was done for Plebs and a number of other productions. https://nuboyana.com/nu-boyana-sets/old-roman-set/ https://nuboyana.com/our-galleries/nggallery/sets-galleries/roman-city

Thanks KB this made my night, loving the Red Dwarf and Plebs reactions, great to see QB in the mix too. Looking forward to the next episode! Definitely my favourite show you're reacting to right now.

Steven Iceton

you should definatly get the queen into reacting to only fools and horses now

tricky D77

Not moaning or anything but queen boomer isn't just reacting to Friday night dinner, idiot abroad was one but I feel like you both have forgotten about it.

David fallows

Has the queen seen any of your only fools and horses and red dwarf reactions? I think she would like either of them

Richard Stokes

Lol

Erica

I loved game on

Erica

You certainly won that war! 🤪

Billy Rockets

Boomer mentioned less laughs in this... Unfortunately after S1, especially after S2, it gradually gets less funny and is why it is not an all time classic like Inbetweeners!... A great shame as it had massive potential to be a great... It is still worth watching to the end though for the immersion reasons alone and at its worse, is midly amusing with fun characters... There's also a movie at the end which was filmed some years later because of the pandemic for closure, which starts off dull but gets better and is actually a decent film so make sure that doesn't get missed please 😊

BigChanChan

looking forward to the plebs movie

Tommy the Tank

Bloody yankee traitor, disrespecting our nobility.

Adam

Lucky you. :P

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

To be fair, we fought a war to not know the difference. 😉

Brian Moran

This episode is a bit of a dud tbh, setting up for the season. The next few are absolute bangers though!

Joe

Dude doesn't know a Lord from an Earl.

Billy Rockets

Maybe watch what we do in the shadows, it's hilarious, a comedy about vampires ( these vampires are absolutely idiots tho)

Ashley Colton

Fools and Horses should be the 3rd.

Andy Waller

Love that you two are watching this show now :) if your looking for another show that I definitely know yourself and queen boomer would love. That’s THIS COUNTRY on BBC Iplayer an hilarious comedy show that’s in a documentary format. Or BLUESTONE 42 an army comedy. I think you both will enjoy these shows, very funny British comedy definitely worth a watch in the future. What does everybody else think? Can’t wait for plebs tho some funny episodes coming up :)

Ryan Mitchell

Didn't know that was his father.

Ryan Lynch

It was the Earl of Sandwich, put some respect on it ;)

Caine

Sandwich is a place in Kent, hence the title Earl of Sandwich but of course people were putting food between sliced bread for ages lol.

theOraclelives

their jobs are shredder and copier lol

theOraclelives

John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich,(13 November 1718 – 30 April 1792) was a British statesman who succeeded his grandfather Edward Montagu, 3rd Earl of Sandwich as the Earl of Sandwich in 1729, at the age of ten. During his life, he held various military and political offices, including Postmaster General, First Lord of the Admiralty, and Secretary of State for the Northern Department. He is also known for the claim that he was the eponymous inventor of the sandwich.

Daryl Hudson

Flavias husband is matt from a show called game on, another show i think has been suggested a few times you'd probably enjoy.

The Everything Guy

The commentator in the chariot race is Tom Rosenthal's (Marcus) real life father Jim Rosenthal who is actually a famous commentator here in England
