I mean no offence by this but I think this was a clear example of just how different American and UK attitudes are towards this kind of minimal/low action episodes. There were so many big laughs in this episode and you didn't even flinch lol. I find the cultural differences towards humour really interesting, things such as varying context etc. Or maybe you were just tired what do I know? lol

2023-07-24 19:31:05 +0000 UTCAgreed. It also feels like a final go at the traditional style of Red Dwarf, before they went bigger. As much as I think the first two series are inferior to the others, sometimes I do miss the basic back and forth between Lister and Rimmer from the earlier episodes.

2023-07-24 19:10:09 +0000 UTCI personally love this episode, but I can understand if you wanted something a bit bigger, KB. Don't worry though, as this is the only self contained episode of Series 3. Actually it's probably one of the last self contained episodes of Red Dwarf in general from what I remember. They really start to put out some interesting Sci Fi ideas going forward.
