It is somewhat exaggerated in this episode (not much though!) - but I'm 45 now and my mum still treats me like this a bit if I visit her and I'm there for a few days. I draw the line at the "pyjamas and mummy" business - but she can't help herself, and instead of arguing or resisting it's best just to let it happen. It makes her happy, and to be honest, after all she's been through I'd rather she was happy. Then you start getting used to it a bit... Remember this though KB and QB, if things go well, that child will always be your special baby - no matter how old they are when they visit. ;)

Most supermarkets sell meringue nests which are usually eaten as a dessert with cream or ice cream and fresh strawberries, or Eton Mess is a great dessert to make with them too, they're not a standalone snack, I've never seen anyone ever eat one as a snack with a cup of tea like they are in this show, if it is a thing it's new to me. There's also different types of meringue, some hard and some soft, a soft meringue is what's used to top a lemon meringue pie, it's soft and fluffy and REALLY delicious, I bet the Queen could make an excellent Lemon Meringue Pie and an Eton Mess.

It’s sometimes hard to know what you guys in America aren’t aware of. It would never have occurred to me that you didn’t have meringues over there, which might be a reason it hasn’t been recommended by anyone .

Meringues aren't something people would send and ask you to try as a snack, like random crisps or sweets. We (my family, probably most people) have them as a dessert with ice cream or cream, or crushed into a Sundae.
