Also paper money came into use, as "promisary notes" instead of carrying tons of weight in gold and silver on your crusades, you would cash it in at your local church before setting off East and they would write you a receipt of debt owed. This would be cashed in at the church when you reached your destination. Hence why it still says today on British notes: " I promise to pay the bearer on demand Β£10 pounds sterling" as in 10 pounds of silver.

Before decimalisation of the British Currency, there used to be 240 pennies in the Β£, this derived from the Iron age currency when 240 Sterlings, which were silver coins, equated to a Troy pound in weight. Hence a Pound of Sterlings, or just Pound Sterling as it's known today. And GMT (UTC) is where the Prime meridian passes through The Royal Observatory, Greenwich.

American Independence was an interesting experiment, but it's now time to bring them back into the fold and make the USA a county of England.

100 Pounds Sterling. The currency used to be the equivalent value to a lb of Sterling silver, Sterling was minted in a ratio of 925/1000 fine. An yep GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), Zero hour, where the day begins on earth, every other timezone is just plus or Minus to Greenwich, England. πŸ˜πŸ€™
