Daniel Day-Lewis

I wanted to show Queen Boomer some performances from Daniel Day-Lewis.  If you didn't know, he is my favorite actor of all time.  When I was thinking about which movies to show her, The Boxer and In The Name of My Father both came to mind.  However, the last thing I want to do is start arguments between followers as both of those films deal with sensitive subjects across the pond.  So please, vote below as even though I believe both of these films are incredible, I don't want to cause problems among the Boomerites.

Both good films but In the name of the father is one of his best.

I live on the road Daniel day Lewis grew up on. Crooms Hill in Greenwich, London. There's a blue plaque outiside either number 6 or 12 for his damous poet dad Cecil and says the years they lived there

I haven't seen either but they both look excellent....I think I'd like to see The Boxer first and In The Name of The Father second though. The trailer for ITNOTF seems a bit fucking heavy for just getting into it....

If we are doing day lewis, why aren’t we doing There will be Blood or Gangs of New York?

Boomer people have the choice to watch or not. You can't tailor your content to everyone. I pick and choose what works for me. If you want to watch a film, you watch it mate! The suggestion above about this is England is one of the best suggestions yet. Sensitive and dark at times but also laugh out loud the next, a true UK classic
