Only Fools and Horses S2 Ep6 "It Never Rains" REACTION!

I paused quite a bit for this reaction but I had plenty of questions.  HELP A BOOMER OUT!

Only Fools and Horses S2 Ep6 "It Never Rains" REACTION!

Comments

Some do, some, like yourself, don't. So be it. Why be so angry about it? Does it materially impact on your life in any way? And if you believe it does, then, you have no control over it anyway, so why waste energy on it? The real problems in this country stem from far back, beyond anything currently happening. Stoking an illusion of patriotism is just one mechanism the upper elite have used for centuries to placate, divide, and subjugate the populace. Seems it's still as effective now more than ever. Do some research on that.

Phil Robinson

yup disregard comments as they don't really know what they are talking about , we , as in the majority do not consider ourselves as European , only share the same continent. you can just do some research if you think I'm talking shit , i do not like to be referred to as European for good reason , its pretty fucking annoying lol , youll see some bots here say it not true but they are in the minority , fact. go look it up , just stating facts :P its like saying Russians are classic Asians.

TheHigh

hell no.. even in dictionaries it says commonly we do not think our culture is at all "European" , i agree , im no "saddo" , i aint got no "chip on my shoulder" , i really don't think you understand tbh if you disagree , that's fine , your probs some saddo loser with a chip on your shoulder :P

TheHigh

All leopard print comes from New Jersey.

Grady Parsons

The UK is part of Europe.

Grady Parsons

London and the South -East of England is the most dry and warm part of the British Isles and tends to get lower yearly rainfall than many parts of Europe. It has however more overcast days and days during which some light rain may occur leading to the assumption it rains more than it does. Southern/Mid England tends to be be protected from wet weather fronts from the Atlantic by the more mountainous/hilly Western part of the UK i.e. Wales and by Ireland. Also due to the Gulf Stream the British Isles avoid having winters as cold as Canada despite latitudes being similar.

Fordy7169

I believe it's near Poole, Dorset.

Fordy7169

It’s supposed to be a bit of a dick move with the initial on his chain - he’s been wearing it for quite a while, he pointed it out in No Greater Love Too

Kieran B

We’re further north but we have the Gulf Stream…

Kieran B

Of course we are European some guys just have a chip on thier Shoulders Saddos we call them lol.

Grayham Clutterbuck

Statistically it rains in London on 106 out of the 365 days of each year, so certainly not all the time. That includes days with a short shower and the rest of the day dry.

Dan M

A Kite is slang for a cheque (US English = Check)

Jason Bonner

No offense but I think Mrs brown's boys in the worst show I have ever seen lol

Dale M

Yup. When I moved to Manchester years ago I'm not kidding when I say it rained solid for 2 weeks. lol

Martyn Dawson

Stuart Williamson

Oh my god, im more hyped than a muppet in a christmas carol for the top gear vietnam special! one of my favourites. If you've never seen any of them, then its like opening pandoras box of entertainment!

Matt Camburn

I know Faversham, used to go past there on the way to London. I lived in Canterbury, Nackington Road off the Old Dover Road near the cricket ground. I'm a Kent boy through and through

Jehan Ariyaratnam

i used to live in Faversham Kent back in 1999 that year was the coldest if you can remember the sea coast freezing over.

Bubbles

If not for that, our weather would be bloody cold as well as wet and miserable

Jehan Ariyaratnam

Yeah I've seen London's had a few hot summers of late, i emigrated to Australia in 2014 so what's hot in the UK is just a standard day here. Growing up in Kent though, I remember most winters being pretty mild, there would generally be a cold snap about 2-3 weeks where the temps would be in single digits but apart from that generally not too bad. If used to warm up by April/May time

Jehan Ariyaratnam

Some people actually analyzed the times it rained in Europe and it found that it is no more likely to rain in UK than most European cities. Yeah we still own Gibraltar. I believe we kept it as a oversee territory for armed forces similar to bits of Cyprus

Matt

They filmed it in England they wasnt actually in Spain

Adam Dowman

I'm English and my gf is Spanish and yes we still own Gibraltar and I always tease my gf saying we still got Gibraltar some Spanish people want Gibraltar back and heavily protest on getting it back but some Spanish people don't care

dubs

'us Trotters have never been good sailors'.

Steve Read

The battle of camerone, look it up if your interested in foreign legion history. Its where the saying 'faire camerone' comes from or 'stand your ground'. If your fit enough to join and spill blood in combat you become a french citizen.

andrew robinson

When guessing the age of the show bear in mind that the Trotters have all out of date stuff and knock offs so it's hard to gauge from props and condition of flat

James

I’ve got a good movie for you It’s called This Is England

Andrew Bojas

IMO, British weather really isn’t that bad! (Florida has more rainfall than the UK!). The main issues are that it’s fairly cloudy and grey a lot of the time, and that it’s very unpredictable so difficult to plan trips, you just have to deal with the cards you’re handed! On the bright side, it rarely gets too hot or too cold, which I like! I say this after having a wonderful day in the sunshine today before the sky decided to piss it down just before I got home.

AdamMcAdamface

The biggest running joke throughout the whole only fools series is that delboy can't speak French even though he thinks he's fluent, it's why it's so funny when he actually converses with a french speaker

Jaxon's Jerseys

probably used to be back in the day but i can guarantee you north London is very hot its actually warmer here in Barnet then it is by the city airport speaking from experience 👍😉 i was at Hatfield on Sunday the temperature was hot

Bubbles

Can’t wait for top gear Vietnam special it’s too funny

BR90s

Gibraltar has UK road signs and stuff and they generally take GBP, pretty cool place. I think the Spanish have always kind of wanted it back but not as badly as the Argentinians wanted the Falklands back.

Adam Lovatt

The next episode is a bit of a slow burn, but leads up to an all time classic moment in British television. Also depicts the interaction between the upper and working classes in England. The same theme is revisited in a Christmas special later on in the series

Jehan Ariyaratnam

london is warmer than the rest of the uk, due in part to air pollution, i worked at heathrow and in summer on hot days looking towards london their was a yellow haze

Jed Baker

spain want Gibraltar back but not as bad as it did a few years ago. mainly issue to uk treaty violations

Jed Baker

You hear is a lot, people watch too many Sherlock Holmes films, its not foggy all the time either as NEXUS says its bollocks. I will say that the weather is very changeable in the UK and some areas are more prone to rain like the Glasgow central belt. Up here in Morayshire its one of the driest counties in the uk. We are on a Latitude with Sweden and Norway where it is very cold but becuase of the Gulf Stream we are kept much warmer. So it can change day to day, hour to hour.

Mike Doel

That London myth about rain is bollocks, it's true England has rain but London has very little compared to say somewhere like Manchester or even the whole country of Ireland or Scotland, we English appreciate the sun more than countries that bask in it 24/7,England is beautiful on a spring or summers day, especially outside of shit holes like London or big cities. The animal print clothing thing is universal and that's why they put del boy in them, he's tacky as hell in parts of his life but as you know he's also very debenair and austentatious in other parts. The running joke regarding French and del is he uses pigeon la Francias and none of it means anything. Of course spain wants Gibraltar back but the Island has voted to remain British numerous times. As any historian worth there salt would tell you, the key to the British empire was Navel supremacy and places like Gibraltar, cape Horn and so on where vital to this.

NEXUS

When DelBoy is speaking "French" to that woman, it is mostly French but he also mixes in some Spanish and German as well and the conversation makes no sense. She asks are you staying at the hotel, and he replies "No smoking, do you have Dubonnet?" Dubonnet is a type of drink I think , and then when she asks which part of France are you from with he replies "Yes I like, I love...." its just complete gibberish lol but he manages to convince her he's French somehow

Jehan Ariyaratnam

The UK is pretty wet and dreary in general, and that can be even in the summer as well. London and the south are generally the dryest and warmest parts of the country though. Once you get north of London into the midlands, the north, Wales and Scotland - it's cold wet and miserable most of the time. I grew up in the south east, the summers were pretty decent and it would even get hot into the 30s at times (86-95F)

Jehan Ariyaratnam

North East of North America rains more than London like New England, New York, Canada etc. Our winters ain't even that cold in London.

Charlie Costa

No, I can guarantee you it doesn't rain in London all the time - no more than it does anywhere else. Del's leopard print trunks are a symbol of his bad taste (you've yet to see the tiger print suitcases) and he's always had the D necklace ever since the show began - This whole bad taste trait hits a peak near the end of the series when Del gets Rodney an identity bracelet for his birthday....

Rob Walters

Blake Harrison has said he based a lot of the way Neil talks and his mannerisms on Rodney. In this episode when Rodney says "it's funny I thought he said 1936"- it sounds like his natural voice and not Rodney

Jehan Ariyaratnam

As your asking about dose it rain alot over here in the UK it's actually raining right now 😅👍 but on the good note it's warm....

Bubbles

London is pretty dry compared to most of the UK

Bikeaholic

It doesn't get as cold as Maryland in the winter because we have the gulf stream regulating our climate up in temperature, more than our latitude would suggest

Bikeaholic

Don't you think that Rodney sounds like Neil from The Inbetweeners? I wonder if that was intentional, or just the way the two actors talk.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Our rain, most of the time, is dull, and drizzly. It lasts for ages. Not like a short heavy downpour as I have heard happens in Florida. In the winter, it can get cold. I think it was negative 8 Fahrenheit (-22C) here in the Scottish Highlands, one day, this past January. On the plus side, all the rain makes our grass lush, and hills lovely and green.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Top gear Vietnam! Fantastic! So excited!
