Paul (2011) MOVIE REACTION!

Comments

57mins that’s gotta be the greatest comedic reaction ever πŸ˜‚ fantastic

Craig Jackson

Jaws reference 1 hr 39.. "Smile you son of a bitch" ..Simon Pegg's favourite movie.

Martyn Dawson

1.40.....guess the boomers haven't seen close encounters of the third kind

Paul Liversage

Anybody else catch when Simon Pegg was dying, he said "Oh my!" like William Shatner in the Star Trek Generations film?

Bruce Bowden

I was thinking the same!

Chris Jennings

The "f-word" is "fuck", not "faggot".

Grady Parsons

*faggots*

Grady Parsons

Also - Bill Hader and Joe Lo Truglio were PERFECTLY cast in this. Their comic timing and personal dynamic is just brilliant.

daniel shears

Is this like an extended version with deleted scenes included or something? I used to watch this religiously when it came out and there are so many segments that I just don't recall at all seeing before.

daniel shears

It's not by choice. It does vary force to force but typically response officers have tasers and neighbourhood policing don't. (as a rule across the country). If your on response, you have a taser no mater if you want one or not. Traffic also carry tasers in most forces as typically most traffic officers are afo's. (this is also force dependant but almost all forces fall into this category).

Joe Wilson

Jeez, please don't do a film review again, ever! πŸ˜‚

BigChanChan

Great film! Love it 😍

Matt Wells

They don't all have Tasers, I think it's a personal choice and depends on the district. I live in Cheshire countryside so there is no reason to carry one unless they are doing a drug bust or something.

Daniel Heywood

Our police don't carry guns as standard, they all carry Tasers, but they only have guns for an armed response to an incident or for situations where security is high e.g. when I lived in Brighton when they had the Conservative party conference every year they'd be lots of armed police walking around. I'd love to see the Queen watch Donnie Darko with her detective skills, that would be awesome!

Mark Jones

Great film.

Steve Read

Sigourney weaver besides the alien movies at the top of my head would be the Ghostbusters movie. And Avatar

Amanda

This is the first time that I've noticed the Bar's name called Roadhouse love that movie πŸ˜„

Amanda

Discuss? Didn't realise this was a debating forum, I think I've commentated less than 5 times about the media being viewed here is trash despite there being ample shit being watched.

NEXUS

Stoner as in immature shite jokes written by 5 year olds who were high when writing this fluff.

NEXUS

V for Vendetta would be a good movie to react to next

Ollie

Reaction and Banter excellent as always. Film - meh. Not keen. Loved the Cornetto Trilogy, but something about this just isn't right.

Stephen Kershaw

All quiet on the western front (2022)

Sorry not sorry

You need to watch Gorrillas in the mist with Sigourney Weaver if you haven't seen it.

Jason Rusby

Boomer, as a Spielberg fan I'm surprised you didn't notice the Close Encounters of the Third Kind reference at the end, with the mountain.

Jay

Kingsman would be a great reaction

Wayne King

πŸ˜‚

Wayne King

Honestly the only similarity are the main two actors, the filmmaking is WAY different...worse lol and the humour is q little different too.

Wayne King

This is just the perfect movie for when you have nothing else to watch and you’ve got some diabolical scran in front of you

ChazWalker

@theOraclelives I wouldn't bother trying to discuss anything with NEXUS, he just likes to tell everyone how much he hates stuff.

Jay

As a big man, from now on I'm going to declare "It's not fat it's power!"

Simon Cross

because seth rogan is in it? the film isn't even about weed so I don't see why it's a 'stoner' film

theOraclelives

'it's the space f*ggots that dinged the fuck-mobile' might be my favourite line in the film lol

theOraclelives

It's a good movie, but I don't rate it as high as the trilogy because it feels like the comedic lines of Frost and Pegg were restrained in this one to give Rogen the best one liners. It's a good story though.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

the music they were playing in the cantena is called jizz music according to star wars lore lmfao

theOraclelives

Great introduction! Opening with β€œwhat’s happenin boomerites?”, ending with β€œTOO MUCH HEAD!” As the movie commences

Lee Organ

you can never have too much head

tricky D77

I'm heading to colorado in august

theOraclelives

Pile of teenage stoner shite. Pegg and Frost havnt made a decent film since Hot Fuzz.

NEXUS

I loved Spaced, but I don't think many of the jokes translate that well to U.S. audiences, as it's very Brit-centric. I'm sure Boomer would get a lot of the movie references though.

Jay

i highly reccomend some classic simon pegg and nick frost (with the same director as the cornetto trilogy, edgar wright)a show called Spaced. Its a pretty short running show but its a proper gem and really has a lot of the similar humor and directing style as the later cornetto trilogy movies and in fact a lot of jokes from those movies where originally in spaced

Matt Camburn

Paul > worlds end

Will

Just my opinion but Paul is much better than World's end, but just shy of hot fuzz and shaun

charlie wright

Run fat boy run is also worth a watch.

Stanley
