Both of them were especially well known on the thriving stand up comedy circuit at the time, as were most of the Red Dwarf cast and guest cast members. Lee Cornes (Paranoia) and Tony Hawks (various roles) were comperes, and Hawks was the warm up act for the live audience of Red Dwarf in the early days.

Eleanor Elliott

he was also in colin's sandwhich with mel smith

Paranoia is the pub landlord in Bottom I think...I recognise him from other stuff too but can't think what!

ZedMC

Paranoia was a teacher in Grange Hill around the mid eighties, but can't remember what else he was in either!

Ian Staines

Ive just paused it 20 seconds after his appearance. Thought that was him. (Only ever seen him on YT clips with "Scottish" guests / connections like Colin Mochrie from Whose Line, Billy Connolly and Peter Capaldi.) Recognise Paranoia from other sitcoms or sketch shows but can't place him yet.

Ryan Lynch

Hi, Iโ€™ve got a few suggestions for you, firstly for movies I think youโ€™d enjoy the sacra baron cohen comedies like The Dictator, Bruno, The brothers Grimsby(my personal favourite), Borat and Ali G Indahouse. And then as a series I think you and queen boomer would like Derry girls, itโ€™s similar to the Inbetweeners but with more involvement of the parents and other people as well as it getting a bit deep at times as it is set during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. In my opinion itโ€™s a lot better than the shows your currently watching

Moixy Playz

It gets so much better mate. Stick with it

Darren Maj

Yeah these are good but not half as good as later seasons, you have to do the time to get the history and reap the rewards later, which are substantial :)

Mike Doel

Waiting for Friday Night Dinner

Sevsidnr Shd

Good episode, I can't wait for you to get to series 2, the story ideas get so much better.

David Williams

Confidence is played by Craig ferguson, presenter of the late late show over there on CBS,

Ian Staines

I'm glad your sticking with Red dwarf. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰

First season or two are considered by most to be pretty poor apart from a handful of episodes. Stick with it and you'll be rewarded with some of my favourite moments on TV

Cain Culley

RA! Just in time for dinner, nice one.
