Hot Fuzz MOVIE REACTION!

It is hard to determine whether this or Shaun of the Dead was more to our liking.  One thing is for sure though, this was an excellent watch!

Hot Fuzz MOVIE REACTION!

Comments

you should be a detective

Jamie

Technically it didn’t die out, it became part of Co-op,

Delia P

Super late on this one, but as Brit in Australia (where they have drumsticks) I can confirm that Cornettos and drumsticks are basically the same

Apple of Andy’s Az

The doctor in this played jack Travis in lethal weapon 3 😃

Rob webber

Somerset or Bristol. There is no such thing as a single "South West accent".

Grady Parsons

Nah, that's the reaction. It's fun to see KB recognise people from British comedy. Maybe just buy the movie and watch it on your own?

Jamie

They're doing a West Country accent

daniel shears

‘When’s your birthday’ ‘22nd of February’ ‘What year?’ ‘Every year’ That line gets me every time 💀

Rebecca Bailey

Filmed in the city of Wells, Somerset.

Paul Puckerin

There's no need to point out what other roles the actors have done before. It's not really relevant to the movie, just forces us to skip ahead every time.

Lood

And Peter Jackson plays the Santa who stabs him in the opening montage!

Lee Gridley

We have a small village on the Isle of Wight called Sandford! 🤣🤣

David Marriott-Hallam

Honestly one of the best films ever made. The foreshadowing and references alone are genius, let alone the quality of the story, acting, and cinematography.

Relyx

Hot fuzz is my favourite of the trilogy 100% 👌

Tom Richardson

I would like to recommend Doghouse next it's the same type of movie as Sean of the Dead. A silly horror comedy film

Ryan

You guys have got to watch Spaced

Tris Outlaw

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost IS who made Shaun of the Ddead and this Boomer - it’s their movies!!! Not just actors, you should now watch their 3rd one called Worlds End 😉

Jamie Keira

great film

Tim Salt (Tim Salt Writes)

The Dead Man’s shows reaction would be incredible

TravellingBlade

Hot Fuzz is perhaps my favourite film ever. The ‘nobody tells me nothing’ guy is Bill Bailey.

TravellingBlade

Jim Broadbent. Now you’ve started Only Fools and Horses you’ll get to see him a whole lot more soon, he’s inspector Slater

Sam Dilks

Not really. If you’d watched King Boomer’s reactions to The Imitation Game and Hot Fuzz films, you would know of his delight in him recognising famous British actors from TV and film, that he’s seen before on previous reactions! Jim Broadbent has aged considerably since his OFAH’s days, and KB could quite easily not recognise him with dark hair and a much youthful face! If KB gets the actor straight away, then great! If not, then this could be a helping hand in recognising him!

Andrew Roberts

King Boomer get more only fools and horses reactions up ASAP!!! 🤣

Luke Fisher

Spoiled it for king boomer was looking forward to seeing his reaction to it oh well nevermind 🤣😅

Luke Fisher

You need to watch the 3rd one ASAP !!!! It’s called ‘The Worlds End’

Blake

I just started it... Has one of you got your headphones on backwards?

Daniel Heywood

L take

Sorry not sorry

sorry never wrote it very well yes sandford is a real place this is a make believe sandford

Daryl Hudson

You'll see Jim Broadbent in a few Only Fools episodes later on too :)

Adi Hughes

The film might not be filmed in Sandford, but Sandford is a real place also in Somerset. It's a very nice little village.

Steve G

I preferred Shaun of the dead. Didn't like Hot Fuzz

Darren Maj

I loved this reaction guys! Such a fantastic film. It's a bit of a change of gears, but can I suggest Promising Young Woman? Would love to see you guys react to it :)

Georgia

I second this, Dead man's shoes is elite.

David Williams

Loved this guys. “Crusty Jugglers!” 😆

Kim Cornwall

i wasnt referring to charcter i was pointing out that simon grew up down these ends so knew the accent well

simoncody277

nick was putting on a west county accent i think

Thomas Stirrup

His character has a southern/London accent...

Wayne King

Great that you mentioned Paddy Considine....his film 'Dead Man's Shoes' is an absolute must watch and his performance is bone chillingly BRILLIANT....would be great if you could put it on the reaction schedule!

Anthony Mark Taylor

Sandford is not actually a real place, and the vast majority of filming in fact took place in Wells, a cathedral city in Somerset that holds the distinction of being England's smallest city and there are a lot of towns just like wells

Daryl Hudson

Jim Broadbent, who played Nick Frost’s dad in Hot Fuzz, played a semi recurring character in Only Fools and Horses, playing bent Copper, Roy Slater! His first appearance was in season 3 and his second appearance was in the 1985 Christmas Special. His third and final appearance is in season 7, but all his episodes are great and he plays the part so well. Watch out for him. The first episode is called “May the Force be with You.”

Andrew Roberts

Rafe Spall played one of the Andys D.C. Andy Cartwright and he is the son of Timothy Spall who played Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) in harry potter and he also played a worker with shaun in shaun of the dead, the chubby worker who took a phone call during a work meeting he was much chubbier back then.

Daryl Hudson

I'm sure someone has mentioned this already, but you need to react to "Spaced", it came before the Cornetto trilogy...it's a comedy that ran for 2 series that also features Simon pegg and Nick Frost. It also features Mark Heap (Jim from Friday night dinner) and a few other people you will recognise.

David Williams

the Fuzz is one of many nicknames given to the police

Daryl Hudson

The police officer in the station is Bill Bailey, you’ve probably seen him on would I lie to you

Martin Tull

yet simon pegg grew up in gloucester so he knew the accent very well

simoncody277

Don’t forgot cate blanchett who played his ex at the crime scene

JambonWAFC1988

Please react to Paul, I beg

Moixy Playz

Nick Frost and most of the famous actors are trying to do a West Country accent, specifically Somerset. But they are ATROCIOUS!! especially Nick Frost's😂😂 only bad part of the Film for me, but it is a comedy so I'll let them off😂 It's like the precursor to your own specific american accents, they Pronounce their Rs. A bit like Hagrid from Harry potter and Stephen Merchant.

Wayne King

Really terrible accents in this film tho, especially from Nick Frost. I guess that's the price to pay to use all the famous London/southern actors

Wayne King

My favourite is The World's End! Their last film! It's so good, can't wait to see your reactions.

Wayne King

I prefer Hot Fuzz over Shaun of the Dead also...top notch this film.

Alex

Director: Edgar Wright. He did Baby Driver, Last Night in Soho, Ant-Man, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

JJ

The third film in the triology is called 'The worlds end' and you're in for a treat!

Simon Cross

It was filmed in a place called 'Wells' in the county of Somerset. Wells is known as Englands smallest city.

Simon Cross

When you come to the UK, please visit the city of Nottingham....Queen Boomer can wear the shortest shorts she wants! ;-)

Simon Cross

Meh

Wayne King

if queeny likes murder mysteries and daniel craig you should watch knives only i think that's what it is called. or knives out. great reaction to a great film, *****.

Chay Davenport

ohhh queeny calling a swan a goose. me as a englishman: unsub and unpatreon and cry inside. joke, love you but i did die inside a little. btw the queen or monarchy don't own swans in the uk as in popular belief so if you come to the uk don't worry if you kick them in the face you won't go to prison. btw i keep pausing the film and commenting as it goes. and if you do pop over here please come and visit east anglia/norfolk suffolk, where alan partridge is from. you should watch alan partridge.<--i think king has but not queeny. i live just down the road from alan's house in norfolk and yurp we are like alan here lol. why the f am going on about mr partridge?!

Chay Davenport

I agree with you King I have seen Shaun of the dead a lot of times and hot fuzz quite a few I can't decide which is better either.

theOraclelives

You need to watch Layer Cake, such a great film

Graham Goldberg

omg i forgot about the raid on somerfields, soon after this film that supermarket chain disappeared. one of the english shops to die out. will always be remembered by this film. btw yurp i have been drinking i even had a lil dance with you whilst you boomers dance when he was drinking lol

Chay Davenport

The cameo's of top actors in these films is off the scale, and the third one is superb too, after first watching all 3 Hot Fuzz was my favourite, but now I've seen all 3 several times the last one is my favourite, it's just such a great movie in lots of ways, you'll have to watch the tv series they did before the movies too, 'Spaced' was brilliant and you'll also recognise many faces in that like a young Jim from Friday Night Dinner, and the pub landlady from Hot Fuzz has a main role too.

Mark Jones

also the guy at 51:35 who speaks gibberish is in harry potter, he plays the housekeeper with the cat. good shout for the boomers too watch Paul please do boomers.

Chay Davenport

The real town named Sandford is also 10 miles away from Swanage, so people say Edgar named the town in the film after this

Peter Andrews

as a human from Norfolk when Nick Frost said that yerp guys mum and sister where the same person I nearly died!

Chay Davenport

at 49:15 when skinner pulls up at the 'accident' Romeo and Juliet was playing in the car. possibly one of the greatest love songs ever. king boomer I'll send you $50 if you do a karaoke video where you sing it to queeny. congratulations with the pregnancy both of you, only 9months till baby boomer enters the world. love ya

Chay Davenport

You should watch Paddy Considine in A Room for Romeo Brass. He is brilliant in it. A Room for Romeo Brass https://g.co/kgs/iRV5xM

mattosh79

To be fair, both King and Queen Boomer were correct.

Jay

Famous actors that you didn't notice. Edward Woodward, who was most famous as The Equaliser in the 80's hit US series, Paul Freeman (the priest) who was most famous as Belloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Stuart Wilson who was most famous for being a baddy in Lethal Weapon 3 and Mask of Zorro. I really recommend you check out the third movie, At World's End. It's considered the worst of the trilogy but it's still really good. It also has a famous actor that I'm sure King Boomer especially would appreciate (without giving spoilers).

Jay

3rd film is "World's End."

Stephen Kershaw

the last film in the corneto trilogy is the worlds end

tricky D77

The accent is a Somerset accent, from the SW of England. The 'other Andy' is Rafe Spall, son of incredible actor Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter to you guys, I suppose). Jim Broadbent (professor used-to-be-Harry-Potter-guy) was originally cast as DelBoy but he was too busy to take the role and so David Jason was cast. I can't even imagine anyone else as DelBoy now. Jim Broadbent has a HUGE backcatalogue of films and theatre he has been involved in. The desk seargent you recognise is Bill Bailey. As someone else here mentioned, you should definitely add 'Paul' to your film list.

Steve Read

The accent is Somerset, West Country

Mark Jones

Talking about James Bond reminds me, you really need to react to sky fall. Daniel Craig’s James Bond is truly the best in my opinion and skyfall was a great movie

Ollie

You should watch Paul if you haven’t already, it’s has the same two main actors and is funny asf. I’m not sure if it came out in America

Ollie

Queen boomer nails the predictions 😁

David fallows

Jim Broadbent is a national treasure, he's a favourite of director Mike Leigh who makes very realistic, down to earth, gritty slice of life British films which are absolutely amazing, they're almost too British for anyone outside of the UK to watch, I've never seen any reacted to anyway, I'd highly recommend you check out 'Life is Sweet' or 'High Hopes' as a taster, if you like Mike Leigh you become an honourary Brit!!!

Mark Jones

Great reaction, love this movie, if you're a ''CRAIG DAVID'' fan, no no no, my bad.... sorry! I mean Daniel Craig fan, there's a little known film he did called 'Enduring Love', which was excellent, I'd highly recommend watching it. great psychological thriller based on the book by the wonderful author Ian McEwan.

Mark Jones

The Director Edgar Wright has last month become the patron of the theatre in my home town Swanage, as he was born here.

Peter Andrews

Hell yeah! Been looking forward to this one.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

The fuzz is slang for the police. 80s James Bond is in this
