He was friends with the person who plays the cat back in the late 70s also a reason he loved watching the TV show.

2023-03-24 22:43:21 +0000 UTCThis will always be my favourite Python movie, largely because I vividly remember watching it at a friends house during the summer holidays when I was about 11, so purely personal reasons help it tip the scale for me, my all time favourite python will always be the tv series though the Flying Circus, watching that as a child was magical, I'd get the same thrill from watching that as Dirty Harry, A Charlie Brown Christmas or the Dollars trilogy, all of which would give me goosebumps as I loved them so much.

2023-03-24 22:01:32 +0000 UTCThe production manager was also the policeman who puts his hand over the lens to end the film, said that ending was planned before filming began, he said other stuff might have been cut because of budget, and it's also important to note films aren't filmed in sequence anyway.

I think life of Brian is considered better as it has a bit more of a plot where as holy grail is just wacky stuff throughout. The reason the film ended like that is they ran out of budget so they just did that as the ending! Haha
