They do where I'm from. Every year Barnet always does a celebration on the War of the Roses.

I love history too, I'm really into hiking and wild camping and usually try and visit as many historical sites as I can on my trips, there's stuff to see spanning much further back than 2000 years, not far from my house there's a Neolithic stone axe factory which is over 6500 years old, and axe's made there have been found in Northern England. There was a series on UK tv which you'd absolutely love called TIMETEAM, it's a bunch archaeologists who travel around digging at places of interest, including old battle grounds, roman villas etc. and it's hosted by the one and only Tony Robinson aka Baldrick from Blackadder. There was also an amazing sitcom a few years back called Detectorists about a group of metal detectorists, it's a real gem, stunning series, you'd absolutely love it!

Mark Jones

Trainspotting is an iconic movie of it's generation but be warned, there's some pretty heavy going scenes as well as the comedy, I'd suggest also watching 'Shallow Grave', it's the same directors first film, the success of which led to him being able to make Trainspotting.

Mark Jones

I don't think we have tours of battlefields in England as we were to good at creating them in different countries. you can tour all the places we invaded, you should do that.

Chay Davenport

It took me forever to work this out as a kid. I'm sure you know that bottom means ass, most of the episode titles are supposed to follow "bottom." Bottom smells, bottom gas, bottom's up ect.

UltiNega

Jed Baker

A suggestion for a future movie reaction, if you've never seen it, The Fighting Sullivans. It's an old US movie, 1944.

Al May

To be honest I think these S1 episodes are a bit weak watching them again, but stick at it KB. Some funny episodes coming up in S2 and S3. Camping in Wimbledon, Ferris Wheel, Cannon Ball Taffy o Jones, Xmas sprouts, Forging money.

Oliver

Every year there's always a reenactment of the fight. And a small celebration

The Battle of Barnet was a decisive engagement in the Wars of the Roses, a dynastic conflict of 15th-century England. The military action, along with the subsequent Battle of Tewkesbury, secured the throne for Edward IV. On Sunday 14 April 1471, Easter Day, near Barnet, then a small Hertfordshire town north of London, Edward led the House of York in a fight against the House of Lancaster, which backed Henry VI for the throne. Leading the Lancastrian army was Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, who played a crucial role in the fate of each king. Historians regard the battle as one of the most important clashes in the Wars of the Roses, since it brought about a decisive turn in the fortunes of the two houses. Edward's victory was followed by 14 years of Yorkist rule over England.
