2023-03-04 23:02:54 +0000 UTCSort of unrelated, but because you said you were interested in seeing early 80s UK in OFAH...sometime in the future - I know you're swamped - you might like Life on Mars and it's sequel series Ashes to Ashes which are set in 1973 and 1981 respectively. They're dramas but they have funny, unPC, unwoke police characters and I think you'll appreciate them. They were shown from about 2005 for 5/6 years.

2023-03-04 21:50:51 +0000 UTCIt's great your getting into this, it really gets so much better, especially the yearly Christmas specials that are over an hour long, once you start to learn the charecters and there personalities you will get the same affection the whole UK had towards this family and its friends,the true skill of the writers is the ability to make you laugh and then well up and then laugh again for relief, this is British comedy at its best. Would be great if you could do two episodes at a time as they are only short the normal 25 minute 30 minute episodes.

They weren't sure they were gonna make another series but because of a strike at the BBC they starting putting repeats of shows on and only fools started doing better 2nd time around. So they made another series and never looked back.
