This will be a Patreon exclusive reaction since every other reactor I am in touch with has issues trying to upload it to YouTube. ENJOY!
My all time favorite series. Would love to see Open All Hours appear.

Millwall is supposed to be a shit football team, supposedly. That's what I was told, since I don't care about football at all.

Fawlty Towers definitely isn't the most popular. The claim Delboy is comes from a 2004 poll, something 20 years ago and before the Inbetweeners and many other programmes came out.

I don't think anyone owned one back then.

It's a Reliant Regal. Even if it wasn't, it would be a "Reliant Robin".

It's "Reliant Robin" and it isn't that model. It's what the other guy said.

After OFaH, you may be interested in Rock and Chips. It's a prequel to Only Fools, and stars James Buckley as Del. Its about their mother, Joan.

Close. Reliant Regal. Common misconception. Like Big Ben being the bell, not the tower.

John Sullivan was a genius. Not sure if anyone has commented but after OFAH, you may be interested to watch Rock and Chips, the prequel. Starring James Buckley (what a muppet!)

Millwall won the FA Cup in 1936 winning 7-0 against Gateshead. Probably their biggest and most recent cup win.

Lots of episodes mate, take your time with these, they're not about shock comedy (mostly!) or bad language, it's feel good humour that over time deals when the characters stories grow, becomes emotional in different ways.

I think it’s a common theme where sitcoms generally need a few episodes to really settle down. When I go back and watch early peep show or even this, it s quite apparent they haven’t aged too well. Only fools is brilliant but I think the early and really late episodes are weakest.

Please watch this every week regularly on a said day where possible and also Peepshow every week, either one of more episode would be great, Only fools get really good once you know all the charecters and the actors find there way, around series 2 to 3 onwards, the banter if superbly written, plenty of slang you won't understand sadly as your not English and the references will go over your head alot but what won't is the genuine humour, its not a rude adult show. These boys are your down to earth working men, that do what they need to to survive and get by in life and family is everything to them. Sadly most episodes are heavily edited on streaming services and tv/dvds nowadays, so alot of the jokes are cut out.Rising Damp is another old show that unbelievably funny and has excellent banter and charecters. If you do both of these shows ill continue supporting the channel Boomer. I personally think using a Go pro to record reactions is working against you when it comes to editing time also, the files end up to large and take ages uploading and longer if converted to smaller files.

There are still plenty of council estates there that haven't yet been overrun by yuppies and faux bohemians, but like the rest of east and southeast London it's rapidly gentrifying. Time Out called it "London's coolest neighbourhood" in 2019.

When I first watched this as a 17 year old all those years ago, never did I imgine that 42 years later I'd be watching an American chap who hadn't been born yet, watching it on a device and platform that was yet to be invented!

I was 11 when this episode was first broadcast, we still only had 3 TV channels then, a lot of households still only had one TV and shows like this were watched by the whole family, I was the youngest in a family of 7 and we'd all watch this together, this is probably the first time I've watched this episode since then, everyone loved this show, the young and the old alike, I've never seen anyone react to full episodes before, this will be a fun journey! The van is a Reliant Regal 3 wheeler, there's a hilarious episode of TopGear where Jeremey drives the car version and keeps rolling it around corners! Actually talking of Clarkson, I started watching the second series of his show 'Clarkson's Farm' today, as the name suggests, he owns and runs his own farm, with hilarious consequences!!!

And yeah, nobody carries briefcases any more. Thats why having Will in Inbetweeners carry one was such an excellent piece of writing in my opinion.
Posh boy from private school, glasses - lots of folk wear glasses, speaks proper - lots of folk speak proper, give him something that people don't have these days.

The van is called a robin reliant, it was a 3 wheeled van. Was made in the 70s, didn't stay in production that long because it was crap, but was popular with people who only had motorbike licences, as they could drive it because it was classed as a motorcycle as it only had 3 wheels

King Boomer only has series 1 and I cant speak for him but I think its his intention to go episode by episode - asking to jump to xyz series is fruitless atm. Also he likes mixing stuff up so there is content everyone will like. He already has a bunch of shows he and Queen B are doing so just be patient for your next reaction you want. If he chooses to do it the next show he reacts to could be ' fun fun fun'

With regards to the time setting, the series was set during the period in which it was made, but Britain at the time was in the throes of a pretty lengthy period of economic strife and was probably a bit behind the times and wasn't an especially nice place, which is probably why it still looked like the seventies; London wasn't the hypergentrified "global city" it is today, it was actually quite seedy and run down, especially the part in which OFAH was set. I suppose that setting puts the whole show into context, it's about poor people trying to navigate Thatcher's Britain.
It's why Britain fell in love with Americana in the eighties and people started watching Dallas and the NFL when they came to TV here, America was glamorous and exciting and contemporary, and Britain was stuck in the past.

Series 1 never took off with popularity, it was due to be axed, but reruns a year later(1982) made it popular, series 1 has its funny moments! This episode is great for setting the character arcs. I wish though that grandad(Leonard pearce) was around a bit longer, bless his soul.

S1 is weaker but still valuable in understanding the character development...
There's also loads of references in future series of important points in their life and plot development from the first series so in my opinion, even though it takes a little while to get going, it's still essential that it's watched from the beginning...
Not doing so will be confusing when watching some of the scene's that reference back to S1 in future seasons.
There's also some very memorable scenes still in S1.
