2023-02-08 23:33:51 +0000 UTCI never gave this show the time of day when it was on. I was 27 when it aired and I thought it was broad comedy for the type of people who find Mrs Brown's Boys funny! But this was good and the fact that Steve Pemberton (The League of Gentlemen, Happy Valley, Inside No 9 etc) Siobhan Finneran (Happy Valley) and Johnny Vegas (no explanation needed π) are in it, guarantee that it'll be good. Funny, absurd, crude and deep. Entertaining. That's what we all like, innit?

2023-02-07 22:50:58 +0000 UTCIt's one of those ones which passed me by, but I quite enjoyed that, a great cast, the guy who's wife asked for a divorce is in an amazing cult sitcom which I guarantee you'd love called NATHAN BARLEY, it's from 2005 and was about the rise of social media networks, it's hilarious, and for someone making a living from social media, I think you'd really enjoy it!

2023-02-07 17:21:57 +0000 UTCBenidorm is in Spain. It used to be the go to holiday / vacation hot spot for what I guess you'd call lower middle class (working class UK) families. And that's what most of the characters are in this show. I've never been there myself (though not because we were particularly wealthy), but I have been to some Spanish islands like Fuerteventura and Gran Ganaria. I never really got into Benidorm, although my mum liked to watch it, so I'll be watching along with you. Cheers

2023-02-07 16:08:51 +0000 UTCIt does drop off in quality at one point... I can't remember which season that is from but it's about half way through the show... I still think it's worth watching though when it does that, as it's not terrible, just not as good as the first few seasons.

2023-02-07 16:08:48 +0000 UTCThere's decent food as well in the old town part if you want it... People get very snobby about Benidorm but I love it... I'll visit other more cultural places in Europe but I still always make time to go to Benidorm and it's great fun with no pretensions.

I think it's one of those were you'd certainly have to cut your losses after awhile. However the series are all pretty separate so you don't have to finish the entire show to have a good time with it.
