If you like the character Jim in this (the weird neighbour with the dog) he's in a great series called Green Wing, an often forgotten comedy.

Honestly this show is fantastic. -- Each episode follows the theme of the brothers coming around for Friday night dinner at their parents house. But something always goes wrong. As you dig deeper into the series, the plots get more and more crazy.

I miss FND, brilliant show. It doesn’t have the continued laugh-out-loud moment like the Inbetweeners but drags you in to this dysfunctional family. Great characters who I think you’ll love. The Dad (Paul Ritter), sadly passed away in 2021. Such a brilliant actor. Can’t wait to re-live it all. Thanks for bringing it onboard the muppet bandwagon.

Apple Crumble is delicious, the topping is just flour, butter and sugar rubbed together to a breadcrumb consistency, then poured over the apple and baked, so the topping is like pastry but you don't make it into a dough and roll it out, so it's loose and crumbly, you'll love it, everyone loves apple crumble, I used to live with 5 American guys from Wisconsin, they couldn't get enough of it, in return they gave me a lifelong peanut butter and jelly addiction!

I only ever watched a few episodes so will be interesting to be along for the ride, Mark Heap who plays Jim is a UK comedy legend, he's been in some amazing shows like Big Train, Brasseye, Jam, Green Wing and one of my all time favourites 'Spaced' which I'd love to see you watch one day!

Re. sibling relationships, my brother is about eighteen months younger than me, and our relationship is pretty similar to Adam and Jonny's. My brother has calmed down a bit now, but as kids it was a bit love/hate, he was terrible for practical jokes similar to the ones Jonny and Adam pull on each other, and we wound each other up constantly. It's kind of why I enjoyed FND so much, I suppose I saw a lot of my own family in it.

A lovely surprise, thank you! There are some great episodes to come.
Paul Ritter, who played the father, was an acting genius, who played comedic and dramatic roles in theatre and on TV. He sadly died in 2021, and every time I watch the series I think of him and celebrate his memory.
There's going to be lots of laughs from watching him and the rest of the cast.

It’s gets more crazier as the episodes and seasons go on, each season gets better just like inbetweeners

The actor who played the guy picking up the sofa bed was in another show called Garth Marenghi's darkplace, which had a bit of a cult following. Wasn't so much a comedy, but was a kinda parody horror show with some deliberately bad acting and corny dialogue which led to a good few laughs and some very quotable lines. Only 6 eps made and would be worth a watch I think!

The premise is that they are a Jewish family and the boys have moved out the family home. They return to see the parents every week for a ‘Friday night dinner’
Jake Simms

They're definitely brothers, the parents are their parents, they just go there for "Friday Night Dinner" (as they're Jewish - that's why the mum said she only sees them once a week, for dinner), same as other Brits might go to their parents for Sunday dinner

I would add that Masterchef isn't really the weird thing, it's just Reeves and Mortimer that make *everything* weird

There's a great underrated series written by the same two writers as the Inbetweeners called White Gold, about uPVC / double glazing salesmen in the 80s. It also stars 'Jay' and 'Simon', it's brilliant
