Some news and a little poll

Hey everybody! It's been two weeks since the release of Chapter 8. I hope you enjoyed it :) Since then, I took a little rest, did some boring internal work (like updating the game engine to the latest version), and did pre-production on Chapter 9 (scene outline, character costume and scene design). On Sunday I actually started rendering. There's not much to show at the moment, but at least here's a picture of Barbie :)

Even though Gynocracy is far from finished (I'm tentatively planning 12 chapters in total), from time to time I get a spark of inspiration for future work. It's fun to play with these possible game concepts.

My favorite right now is the story of a woman who somehow finds herself moonlighting as a dominatrix. However, I'm a little wary of a game with a female protagonist. I know some people like to project themselves onto the protagonists, and I believe the majority of you are men. Personally, I don't have a problem playing as a female character. In fact, if a game gives me the choice, I always choose a female protagonist. But that's just me.

So I thought I'd do a little poll and see what you think. Of course, feel free to leave a comment if you have something to say about this.

I don't hate games with a fem protagonist but I don't like to play them from a dominant perspective. My fave genres are femdom and fem protag + corruption. I can enjoy a game with a variety of routes and protags, like K Gambit, but if the focus is just on a dominant male or female then I lose interest.

Sometimes it feels that games more like films where you direct the characters development and corruption and observe them from the side experiencing their emotions. And having female protagonist is really interesting and exciting to feel her evolution from being traditional into something more interesting like a dominant woman with desires to cuck her husband.

As a male, playing a female protagonist to me is about the parts left unsaid in an otherwise male dominated narrative. I can empathise with male characters, both major and minor because I understand the motivation, but playing a female protagonist can prove an enjoyable journey through the looking glass.

Absolutely. I really enjoy playing/following the arc of a female protagonist that is moving from more innocent/vanilla to a darker/dominant state and the psychology of understanding a deeper need and the feedback loop of crushing hapless males. The way you've crafted the evolution of Callie's mindset is amazing (can't wait to see where that goes!). Something like that would ring some bells for me, for sure!

It's not like I dislike games where I have to play the role of a female main character because I already played some good and exciting games as a female MC. Even though in this case I've seen myself only as a kind of third person, like a bystander, who just stood beside the game characters and experienced the plot as spectator. Unfortunately I can't experience the actual actions on my own body, so to speak. But I don't mind to play a woman if the dialogues and the story are excitingly good written. That's why I have chosen the third option of your poll. Thank you for the sight of my favourite Barbie, she made my day! Now I also know why she had chosen a pink coloured chastity cage for John - lol. It seems to be her favourite colour, right?

I like playing games with female protagonist. It would be interesting to play someone like Kalie to be able to gradually corrupt her character.
