Channel Update - November 2024 | Script is sent for voicing

Hello there! I hope you are doing well.

GTA SA - Why planes crash [WIP name]

As I mentioned in the past, the next step was to sent the script to Obbe and see if he has something to add or comment on. Well, he gave me his feedback and answered several of my questions, but as I expected he doesn't remember that much.

Where I describe a bug or an oddity, he either said that it shouldn't be like that or it could have been a leftover from an experiment.

Where I describe a workaround to minimize crashes, he simply said that it makes sense why he did it.

The rest answers were probably or no idea.

To be honest, I kinda predicted the outcome. I asked very specific questions to which he could maybe answer 20 years ago, but definitely not after. I thought that by reading the script he would remember the details, but nope. I kinda blew this part. πŸ˜”

On the other hand, he revealed how he developed the feature and it literally answers the question I didn't ask of why it is as broken as it. I will leave his full answer for the video, but the key word is the "spaghetti code". As simple as that.

He also revealed that it was tricky to get the flying stability right adding that the planes tended to oscillate too much. This will be featured in the video too as well as how he fixed that. I knew a perfect place to include his answer in the script as there is something that makes them do this thing.

What I like the most about his reply is that he said that the script "looks good" to him.

That's a green light from Obbe. Perhaps, this is the most important thing to hear from the creator of this feature at that point. So as soon as I got his feedback, I changed a few parts in the script to include his answers and it was ready for voicing. As of now I am waiting for Badger to voice me it. I asked him to voice it in parts as it might speed up things on my end. So yeah, can't wait to receive the VO!

Thank you for watching and supporting me. I hope to see you soon!
