Anything For A Laugh

This week's update is very special. Not only is it the 100th drawing I've created since getting back into making tickling art, it is an homage to a piece of mainstream content that may be responsible for my tickling fetish.

We all have our mainstream scenes that we feel may have, if not shaped us, at least made us aware that tickling meant more to us than to other people. I've found most of the ones from my own childhood online over the years, but one in particular eluded me and seemed impossible to locate.

The amazing TickleHunter, who works hard to find the most obscure male tickle scenes from movies and television, finally found my "Holy Grail" scene: the Dungeon Dice commercial. This commercial aired in the late 1970s at a time when many households didn't even own a VCR.

My memories of this scene were foggy, yet the basic premise of it was seared into my brain. I particularly remembered the "anything for a laugh" line. From what I recalled, the man being tickled in the dungeon was a sexy bear with facial hair. It seems I flipped the victim and the tickler in my memory as the tickler is the one I was more attracted to. In fact, this incredibly brief clip may be responsible for me being both a tickle fetishist AND a bear chaser.

When I decided to create an homage to this scene that was so important to me, I thought I'd alter it a bit so the ticklee had a bit more broad appeal. I tried to capture the spirit of the tickler as much as possible, including his actual mustache twirling villain moment.

I hope you like "Anything For A Laugh"!
