There it is, the reaction you don't get when you've already seen the LA. The *family* name is Monkey. If the name were written in a western style, they would be Garp D Monkey and Luffy D Monkey. His last name is Monkey not Garp. The Koby and Helmeppo training episodes were not filler. That was a cover story.
