Dr kureha kinda confirms it in one of their talks. He still had a heart condition but lived 30yrs beyond his diagnosis which is why he was so convinced that the cherry blossoms work.

2024-11-03 04:28:59 +0000 UTCI've watched this reactions to this arc so many times, and this is the first time someone's ever like really discussed or talked about Hiriluk's disease and his belief in "emotional cures" and thus also the first time I'VE every really thought about it. Its also ironic because I just recently had my friend basically develop stress induced asthma and has to take asthma treatments and carry an inhaler. You hear people saying you can die from stress but it like you hear it but never really really think about what that actually means.
